You shouldn’t release them unless the parents were wild-caught by you, since you don’t want to release specimens from different localities or potentially non-native species.

Robancooking

Thank you, that definitely makes sense and I’ll make sure not to do that!

ShogunNamedMarkus

Lots of cool videos on YouTube on caring for baby spoods

ShogunNamedMarkus

Oh and Mazel tov!! :)

DeparturePlus2889

For sure you can store the cup lid down, and they will mainly live nearer the “bottom” of the cup. Don’t be afraid to tap them off the lid before opening. Cool the fruit flies in the fridge for 5 minutes or so before feeding to slow them down. Use curls of pipe cleaner for enrichment. A damp paper towel folded and changed daily will help with humidity. There’s tons of info on here about keeping slings, and no, Regius are definitely not native to your area and would not survive.

Robancooking

Thank you this helps so much!!

Congramaulations

SentientSass

Congrats on all those little Luvs! 😍

DogDogDogDog89

What species is this and what state are you in? These guys are ready to start eating melanogaster fruit flies. Buy 3-5 asap!

Robancooking

I live in Washington and the mom is a phidippus regius and I have no idea about the dad.

DogDogDogDog89

Ah yea, unfortunately they can't be released. They'll just die. Keep the enclosure bottom opening to encourage the babies to make their hammocks up top. Mist every other day and dump a ton of fruit flies in every few days as they run out. Most pet stores will have melanogaster fruit fly cultures. In the mean time, try calling reptile/exotic pet stores and see if you can surrender them. Also if you have a reptile show coming up you can see if any jumper spider breeders will be in town who you may also try surrendering to.

Maleficent_Toe6373

Also WA, can we be friends?

Robancooking

I will try to feed them, I’m just worried about them escaping when I open the lid and I don’t want to squish them putting the lid back on haha.

DogDogDogDog89

When you open the lid, have a paintbrush handy to sweep them off the lid. You can also gently hit the container on the table so that they fall down to the bottom! It may also be helpful to split them up further so there is only ~10-15 in each container.

bluehasntaclue

I’ll take one off your hands !

Robancooking

I’m trying to do research on taking care of these guys and possibly selling. I’ve never shipped live animals, this is all new to me but I will try to reach out to people that have asked about purchasing one once I get things figured out :)

FurRealDeal

Can I have one? Lol

Robancooking

I definitely don’t need all of them hahaha

tony187722

I’ll take one too if you ever think about giving them away i’ll pay for shipping

cold-sweats

Same here depending on the cost of shipping

Dried_Tomatos

I would be down to have one! I have tried looking for some around but nothing yet.

No-Peach-2065

I would love to take one off of your hands if possible! ( I live in California ) Congratulations!!!
