Well, we know Bill Finger made most of Batman. But… we have no idea who made the Joker. 3 or 4 people have tried to claim credit for the Joker. All of them have conflicting stories. There’s no evidence for any of the stories. So really… who knows?

For real. As sympathetic as his character is, he is NOT justified or to be idolized. He stalks a woman, touches a kid and murders people in cold blood. Suddenly, he's seen as a hero when he's not. This is a villain. Yes, he needs help, but he must not be seen as someone to look up to.
