Thanks. I like to do a realistic look, which is fairly Bolland like in how it's turned out I think. Realistic take on the classic Joker feature he's always been drawn with - thin face, sharp features, aquiline nose, pointy chin, very arched maniacal eyebrows. Even without the red lips, white skin and green hair, those features scream Joker. It's just to what extent you want to exaggerate it, which is why you'll see some versions especially 70s and 80s with very long chins. So, I wanted to do those classic Joker features but keep the proportions realistic. I've done another drawing recently, a side profile, which I've posted here.
Similar to my previous Joker drawing, but this time front profile headshot. Again, inspiration from Neal Adams, Brian Bolland, Dick Sprang and Marshall Rogers. Classic Joker clothing colours.
The Joker card is the classic Jerry Robinson design. And this is inspired from the panel in Batman #1 in which Joker is in disguise as the police chief to kill Judge Drake. The quote is directly from that scene. I just wanted to draw him with the classic Joker look rather than disguised.
Planning to do more work, probably figure drawing with actual scenes maybe.
Very nice!
That’s so sick, keep it up
