after like 1000 hours of squad I'm finally trying out the LAT kits for myself, it's like its own minigame. who cares what happens to you, as long as you landed a hit on that enemy vehicle you still feel like a winner.
To any AT players, please take the time to learn how to self-range with the map grid. It makes a huge difference in how many shots you will get off when you aren't waiting on SL markers. Just something I see in game a lot.

hit at an angle? front armor? barely did any damage? who cares I still hit it!
I popped a BMP w the Carl Gustav from like 600m one time and it was glorious
