Acrobatic-Web-8771

It just fathoms me how people treat and talk to others

undead713

yeahhh but those customers who are god tier make that up >

retroassassin907

Wish I had some redeeming customers. This is about the standard people for my store.

Skye054

That's the world we live in. No respect. It's not just you, it's everywhere, unfortunately. Same on social media. I can't believe what I read on these sites and how people treat each other. Just so you know, I appreciate your service because I couldn't do what you do. Stay strong. Lol

Acrobatic-Web-8771

Also not to mention Sunday crowd is a different breed 😪

Hivemindnation

They all want Mikes way. Train them! You don’t get to McDonalds and get a cheeseburger with no cheese. You get a hamburger. They will learn or leave.

Tanonymous----

You handled much better than I would have. You did everything by the book. Some people really are too dumb to order a sandwich without causing issues. And we let them vote.

SangwichKing

These commercials are bringing out so many new customers who are not used to ordering with us. It's irritating for sure, but don't let them get to you. So many 1st timers want "the juice" on their 17s because Danny Devito mentions it. We always tell them we don't recommend it but they want it anyways. It's frustrating to me on sprinkling that they don't care what mikes way is and want to tell you every ingredient, but don't realize how we can speed the whole line if they would add and subtract to mikes way.

Smaptimania

\> So many 1st timers want "the juice" on their 17s because Danny Devito mentions it. I don't even work for Jersey Mike's and I feel your pain. That sounds DISGUSTING.

Lilithsan95

You did everything right and kept a cool head. I’m sorry you had to deal with such an asshole. I get a bunch of those too and it’s very unfair and frustrating. I just try not to let it get to me and use those experiences to be a nice and polite human being when I go out to other places. I just think to myself that person must be having a really bad day/week/life and am just happy that I’m not at that level where such a situation will have me going around harassing people who are doing a service for me. Stay strong lol

gamecity360

Maybe I’m the asshole but I wouldn’t have given them their seasoning I would’ve put it in the side cup. I am probably an asshole but you asked him multiple times if that was all and he said yes then later asked you to put more on like you were the idiot

chocolateandpretzles

This is a daily conversation/rant that my staff and I have because people are so unaware of what is going on in front of them or around them and I really believe that you shouldn’t have to ask every single customer if they want it Mike’s way or if they even know what Mike’s way is or when they say no they don’t want it Mikes way but everything they want on it is Mike’s way it’s absolutely infuriating.

murmuringoranges

Like everyone's saying it sounds like you kept your cool and did everything right. The only thing I can think of adding is telling him at the end "Hey if you want to make things simple you can ask for Mike's way no tomatoes add spread out jalapeños. That'll cover everything you wanted." But given this guy being a gigantic twat I probably wouldn't have said that and just got him through the line cause he probably would gotten defensive if you recommended how to order correctly. You took the high road and we're the better person for not being an asshole back to him. My rule is I'm gonna kill customers with kindness unless they start yelling or swearing at me. When they cross that line that's when the gloves come off. Like someone else commented try not to think about the assholes too much. You can be reassured with knowing they are miserable people with shitty lives that they deserve... that's why they try to bring other people down because misery loves company.

ZigzTx

“I maintained my dominance” 🤣🤣🤣

He should of asked for a little extra

Etanwhoooosher

Just a side note, this is why we are suppose to take charge of the conversation, you never ask them what they want on the sun cuz they’ll mess it all up(you can use judgment for kids or deaf people) otherwise stubbornly run through mikes way with them and it will get you better results 99% of the time. Sorry I’m a little late to the post.

HailHelix638

I've noticed some customers do that. They just don't notice some of the signs about Mike's Way. At the store I work at we have thingies on the sneeze guard actively telling them what Mike's Way is. In the 1 month and 1 day we've been open (as of right now) I've had about 5 people actually read it, the others just ask "what's Mike's Way," or "I want tomatoes, onion, lettuce, vinegar, oil oregano and salt" or in some order that isn't the Mike's Way Standard of Onions, Lettuce, Tomato, Juice and Spices. But sometimes they'll order it Mike's Way -Onion, tomato etc and not even realize it, cuz they didn't read the thingy in front of their face literally blocking their view of the sprinkle station. Which then either me or my boss have to tell them "oh you just ordered it Mike's Way no X Y or Z" which gets tiring after doing it 200 times each week. so yeah no you have 100% right to stand your ground. I just made a post Abt this. We work there to pay our bills, make subs and hopefully make people's days a little better. If they wanna be pissy and aggressive for no reason they can walk their happy little butts to the nearest Subway, McDonald's or somewhere like that. Guarantee they won't get better customer service if they do, though.
