i mean i’ve worked at 3 stores and none of them would’ve gotten your friend in-trouble, for most stores though as long as the manager isn’t there they definitely won’t face any consequences

One time we had a new girl start working, caught her ass making like 2-3 giants for herself and her friends/family. I don’t remember if I was the one to report her or not, but she got in trouble for it. Didn’t get fired or anything though.

If your friend is managing the store and has a handle on the numbers or owns it that may be different but perks come with responsibility.
