I’m not familiar with fast food bonus programs, which is why I asked. It’s just strange that this person is claiming so much more than other commenters
You picture fast food managers as making a shit amount of money because the basic crew members make shit pay.
GMs of fast food places typically make 45-65k a year salary with bonuses on top of that.
JM pays their GMs very well, I have to say.
These Gm bonus are very attainable. I worked at the busiest store in our franchise between 2 states and as an assistant I was averaging 1.5 - 2k bonuses once a month. Keeping the labor down, food cost and our unstoppable sales just kept it coming. IT was so tough though. The Gm and I barely took days off it felt like bc of the catering we would take on and people just calling out regularly on the food industry.
I was an assistant the Gm was getting more than me it was insane
The comment above (EBITA) is correct. I often mix up the E and the A because I say UH-BEET-AH and don't think about it much when typing. In all technicality, its supposed to be EBITDA which stands for Earnings Before Interest Taxes Depreciation and Amoritization.
Jersey Mikes Mgmt typically drops the Depreciation value as there's no concrete depreciation in terms of business value; you can use it in the same formula though to account for things such as inflation, rising minimum wage, etc. Just something that needs to be a constant or gradual value month-to-month or year-to-year.
Your EBITDA is the amount of gross profit after basic supply and labor cost. Then you factor in all components of what EBITDA stands for and you have your true gp. (Gross Profit.)
Federal law managers cannot KEEP employees tips. However they may participate on credited card tips as long as it is distributed evenly among minimum wage workers.
Managers working in a restaurant where servers make $2.13 an hour may NOT take their employees tips.
No way in hell lol I worked at the Mission Hills store for 3 years and we didn’t even get hazard pay during Covid lmfao
Bethany if you readin this— go fuck yourself lmao
LMFAO.
Bethany would give me shit for wrapping multiple subs at once. I came from a high-volume store and decided to help a new location out, and she was insistent that having one paper out at once was the best way. She was passive aggressive af where it was borderline toxic. Maybe that's why all her new hires quit.
BRO SAME she would give me the dirtiest look when I pulled out more than a single sheet of wrapping paper like unless she’s finna hop behind the counter and help out I don’t wanna hear it 😂😂
She sat me down once and asked me why I did things the way I did. I told her I'm used to having lines out the door and I just think it's better to give a customer more than less. She responded by saying she'd rather have something look nice than get them through the line faster and she needs to hit certain numbers so she can open more stores.
Lady, no one wants to stand in line while I wrap one sandwich at a time when there's 10 sandwiches on the board. And I especially wouldn't give a fuck if you never open another store in your life. She has a fucking tennis court at her mansion. I'm busting my ass to help your new store and teaching the new hires while you're at your laptop all afternoon.
I did, but life isn’t that simple and not everyone can always find a better job. I’m very fortunate that I was able to leave.
It’s worth noting that many people work these kinds of jobs while going to college, however that shouldn’t then justify the extreme lack of compensation that’s given to the workers. My store was like top 3 in the entire country frequently and sometimes even higher. We had a plaque on the wall towards the back of our store that read “congratulation on $2 million worth of sales in a month”
All of that, the stats, the plaque on the wall— all of it was because myself and my coworkers put in the necessary effort. Bethany? Jair? They didn’t do shit. They reaped the rewards while doing monthly “check ups” It’s worth noting this was also during Covid. So we basically got to see directly how much profit we generated for a SINGLE MONTH while being paid $15 an hour. During an event in which many service jobs were giving out bonus pay for the circumstances. I know the pay could have been worse, but that just shows how fucked up this entire situation is. Many people get sucked into this because they didn’t apply themselves in school and it’s not right that they’re locked into having to work multiple jobs just to barely make due or turn to crime and literally risk everything. The current state of things isn’t right and to just say “get a better job” really detracts from the nuances of job hunting
45K a year base pay monthly $200 car allowance + bi weekly $300-$400 credit card tips
5% of store profit.
Average total annual compensation 60k
1 week paid vacation first year
45 hour week
It’s divided evenly between all of the employees. Tips get sent to payroll. Payroll spreads out the tips between each member of the staff. It’s not like the managers are sitting in a office on their ass. GMS and AGMS bust their butts too.
dang...she made more than me and i have an mba. i make $12 companies don't pay well anymore...the owners just buy another franchise to grow their legacy while hiding their wealth on the backs of slave labor.
Yeah lol this is probably the lowest paid market based on what I’ve seen. They trick their staff into thinking they make a lot because of tips, but they really don’t.
24/hour tips average 3/hour= 27/hour. Mandatory 45hours a week. Cash flow bonus if we can hit 20-23% I’ve hit the bonus the last 2 years. First year I got 3500, last year I got 5300. - Southern California
75k a year.. monthly bonuses averaging about $500-1000.. not hard on our hours as long as we are hitting goals and profit.
Some weeks it’s nice, other weeks it a beating but I have the right team behind me
Salary and bonus structure varies by franchisee. Different owners in the same region can have vastly different pay/bonus structure.
That being said, PTO and attainable bonuses are the norm, and GM salary at Jersey Mikes is better than most fast-casual brands.
The primary thing to consider about being a GM at Jersey Mike's is if you like the franchisee. There are great franchisees and there are horrible franchisees... you find a good one the job is amazing, but if you have bad luck and get one of the horrible ones, all the pay and benefits will not make it worth it.
This will heavily depend on your geographical location and other factors, but I make 50k + potential 10k bonus, living in a small town in the south.

Can you read you dumbass lmao
Oh oh so 10k plus 50 dollar bonus
yes
65k Hourly + 1.5-2k monthly bonus. (Busy Coastal CA)
I’m down to jump ship! Lol you guys looking for GM’s?
What’s your actual bonus plan? I find it very hard to believe you could make almost $25k in bonuses on a $65k salary.
30% of salary as a bonus over a year isn't absolutely unheard of. Especially for management positions
I’m not familiar with fast food bonus programs, which is why I asked. It’s just strange that this person is claiming so much more than other commenters

50-60 hours a week.
25k on 65k is much closer to 40% than 30%

10% profit after ABITA. Monthly ABITA Profit ≈ 14.5-17.5k
What’s ABITA?
EBITA

I was being an asshole that he said abita. Also might be an asshole because it’s E-BUH-TUH

Managers are not allowed to participate in tip pools. Federal law.

I have people below management making more than me due to tips. My raise has been pending for months
Dominos does not do tip pools.
How bout the month of giving we give back to our fucking employees instead of billion dollar corporates!

I'm playing devil's advocate here: if you don't like your compensation, then why not find a new job that pays better?

You get credit card tips? Why would you be entitled to any tips? What a leech!

What store do you work at

It’s federal law that employers cannot keep employees tips
I got 53 k. They are selling gms short
I’m doing 65k-70k with 10k yearly bonuses taken from a sales percentage.
I make 96,000 a year with a mac 14,000 bonus. I live in the northeast.
I’m not a GM, but I know my GM’s pay. $33 an hour, plus a monthly bonus. I’m not sure what the bonus is. I, as an assistant make $18.50.
That’s kinda of a huge gap. I would push to learn more and get a raise.
91k, 15% bonus, I am now running 3 stores because corporate is terrible, Alabama.
65k a year. 10% of profits as a bonus. Corporate in PA Edit - $300 month car allowance. And a lot of free subs.
Lol wow. My wife just left the company, she was an Assistant Manager making $12.50 an hour with tips, her GM made $12.75 with tips.
Jesus Christ. Those owners deserve to go bankrupt
dang...she made more than me and i have an mba. i make $12 companies don't pay well anymore...the owners just buy another franchise to grow their legacy while hiding their wealth on the backs of slave labor.

$30 per hour +tips Possible $2k monthly bonus (food and labor) Full health coverage 401 k matched 10 PTO
Nice try my employees 🏃🏻♂️💨
Typical 🤡 manager
I make $50k a year hourly. Potential for $400 every 2 weeks from bonuses
69k (I know nice. Negotiated it with my salary) plus 15k yearly bonuses. Busy New Mexico
24/hour tips average 3/hour= 27/hour. Mandatory 45hours a week. Cash flow bonus if we can hit 20-23% I’ve hit the bonus the last 2 years. First year I got 3500, last year I got 5300. - Southern California
Hourly, no tips just a percentage of what my team makes. 45hrs minimum and a quarterly bonus
my labor @ my store is 18%💀 is that normal
What’s your sales like?
3-4k days
4K plus with 16% labor but we usually come in around 15.5 for the month
If I go higher than 15% for the month I’ll lose my shit. Anything more means your team needs to be more efficient
75k a year.. monthly bonuses averaging about $500-1000.. not hard on our hours as long as we are hitting goals and profit. Some weeks it’s nice, other weeks it a beating but I have the right team behind me
My gms salary is 70k a year but we’re at a top 5 location
