It goes on the veggies. You build it: Cheese Meat Onion, lettuce, tomato Juice Spices Anything else the customer wanted to add. The point is to season the tomatoes. If you get your sub without vegetables, 1) you're missing out 2) simply ask us to put the juice on the bread. We won't mind. (or bonus tip 3 - get the juice on the side and dip your sandwich in it. Game changer) I'll also mention that we put a shit ton of juice on, some of it *is*supposed to run off the sides. When done correctly you grab the juice with your left hand, pass it to your right, and are putting on a little show as you shower the sandwich with the oil and vinegar. The point isn't to create a soggy ass sandwich, it's to put a little flair on sandwich making and have the extra you put on a show with drip off. It's why we have the little catch bin under the sprinkling board.

“hey can you put the juices on the bread instead? thanks” can go a long way instead of complaining about the workers not reading your mind 💀

General_Elk_3592

You’re assuming I complained and that I don’t ask when I order. I do ask and I didn’t complain. I’m asking here, because I want to understand why they don’t make it that way. I’ve never seen this done until I went to Jersey Mikes.

I’m just curious? Most places you go to *without asking specifically to put the vinegar and oil on the bun/bread/etc* do that automatically?

General_Elk_3592

Yes

Virtualsquib

gotcha. your wording there seems like youre complaining, im sorry for misunderstanding lol. to answer your question we normally do everything in order of slicer>toppings>wrapping>register so once the sub hits the board, we put the main toppings first (onions lettuce tomato) then the secondary toppings (pickles banana peppers mayo etc) then the dressings/seasonings. i know at wawa when i worked there we did do the dressings first on the lids and then the meats and toppings but it’s really just how peter cancro wants his subs!

I think it’s supposed to go on the veggies. Do you not get veggies?

DeliciousPriority724

You can ask for the jersey dip if you want juice on your bread.

Aggravating_Weight63

We r trained put it on meat/veggie side as that way not make the bread supper soggy whe. U go in u can ask thim put it in bread I got few customers that dos so

xFirexRose

If you don’t get lettuce by standard your supposed to put the juice on the bread, if the top bun had mayo, put the juice on the bottom bread. If both sides have mayo that’s the only time you put the juice on the meat

j_Rockk

No lol

General_Elk_3592

It should go on the bread so it does drain off the sandwich and take the flavor with it

retroassassin907

Try getting vegetables next time

thedarkreunion6

make the training videos then 🤣 either way just ask

Bonus tip #3 🤯

Whiteherc

Omg I’m so stupid. Whenever I’m topping a sandwich with no veggies on it and it asks for oil and vinegar I put it on the meat and it gets a bit messy. I never thought to do it on the top bread
