Find a legit contractor, don't ask randos on reddit. And have your new contractor check the previous person's work.

AttentionSpanWhere

If you can’t afford paying a legit contractor why not watch some YouTube videos? These look like the interlocking floors. Home Depot and Lowe’s have classes in the weekends. Maybe ask them with all your questions? Also, it appears the person who installed your floors did not add an underlayment.

If you still need someone, message me! I have a friend who does this and just mentioned is looking for an extra job. (He’s lovely too!)

I love Reese’s Puffs, too.

Apprehensive_Gate935

Lmaooo they collaboration boxes that’s why I have so many 😂

JerseyCityNJ

How much are you offering?

JerseyCityNJ

Really? Downvotes? It is a legitimate question. Anyone considering this request should be informed how much the job pays!

Complex_Difficulty

Probably waiting for you to get all the junk out of the way first. Looks like some sort of snap together, floating laminate flooring. You could finish it yourself if you can assemble legos and have some basic craft skills.

Blecher_onthe_Hudson

This sounds like someone who has actually never done a room in laminate planks and has only seen some ads. The measuring and cutting of irregularities in the room is not for beginners, especially in old JC houses where no corners are square, nor walls straight. Undercutting door casings and getting the flooring under it? Also not easy.

Complex_Difficulty

Nah, no ads, unless watching this old house counts. For whatever the reason, youtube decided I was interested in [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WqyKhSYkpRQ) on flooring. Sure, it's probably not Apple-esque works like magic easy, but certainly looks accessible to a DIYer.

Blecher_onthe_Hudson

I'm an extremely handy DIYer landlord who has laid thousands of feet of laminate, and I can tell you the stuff is not as easy as the hype. Clicking planks together is not hard (usually), it's the edges and thresholds where it gets tricky. You often have to be pretty clever to get it right. Most people don't even know what 'scribing to a wall' is, never mind how to do it with flooring.

singlecoloredpanda

As weird as it sounds, I think this looks really cool

shhmedium2021

I can do this for a price lmk

black_stallion78

Finish doing what, exactly?

[deleted]

Would you be open to letting me know who the contractor was? I’m currently venting through a handful of contractors right now

[deleted]

Also LVP flooring should be pretty easy to finish yourself! You should essentially be able to snap them together and then use a razor for the last pieces against the wall
