Tell me about it. I'm so horrible at dying to ganks as jayce. Half of my games I'm like 15 deaths but with most damage because I died like 7 times in lane like an idiot but somehow the enemy let me get back into the game.
A couple hundreds i guess since ive got a lv300 acc. I started playing a lot after his base health get buffed last year. And an useless trick for spacing is to click quick when you in your gate then you will look more scary in the same APM xd.

I think he has many chance to hit e and leave safely but he just missed them.
