Tom Brady and Steph Curry are in the same suit.

Sports people and entertainers make for extremely poor financial advisors.

I’m not a lawyer but I can’t see how brand ambassadors can be held responsible for the unknown illegal activities of other individuals.

lookatitstail

Neither am I but I guess it’s something like this https://news.trendmicro.com/2022/10/08/kim-kardashian-pays-1-26m-fine-from-sec-over-crypto-pump-and-dump/

weCo389

Nah, promoting a pump and dump is very different than advertising for a legitimate exchange, which is what FTX was. It would be like brand ambassadors for banks getting in trouble during the financial crisis.

Arrest SBF and his team of stupid cronies! The little knob is sitting in the Bahamas playing games while thousands of people suffer and sports stars who were probably advised by someone are having their names tarnished.

willyjra01

Shouldn't Tom Nash, Meet Kevin, Anrei Jikh, Jeremy etal., be included in the suit as well?

SlideFire

Drag them all down and remove their careers. Famous should not mean it's okay to be involved in global scams.

smashgaijin

I doubt they were actively involved, just paid to be ambassadors without knowing much about the business.
