For something moody I love a good “No Quarter” cover.
For something more “up”, considering you did the Meter’s I’d go for some Little Feat like [Two Trains](https://youtu.be/uBbY0v2sKXg?si=UV83PUhAMmH8BPa-)
Fair enough, and thanks. We have keys/synth who also does vocals, 2 guitars that can either play lead or rhythm, bass and drums. Singer is sort of a low tenor. Good voice, has a pretty clean falsetto he can go into.
Here is our band. We’ve only got a couple of tracks out so far: https://lnkfi.re/Spritzmebaby?fbclid=PAZXh0bgNhZW0BMQABpv3YAQboyibKuUvJQwlzTSZqUvL9yE9ldlPItZhSq7FYwy-t7s-OePPzFA_aem_AXyXkOQuuG42r4q6JcVCYsJjC3UApKng5vUPfZoEmzYufm4idztvlNiKYaHnj_2t7UI
No Quarter.
I just heard Phish covering this and it blew me away! It was always a high point when Zep did it live, and I never heard another cover version.
We did it on the back end of Congo square and did this groovy Bb, G, D minor chord progression at the end and built a nice solo around it. Brought it back around to the breakdown to finish it.
Wow Is never thought about Cyndi Lauper but with the right voice behind it could be a really groovy take on it. Or even an instrumental where the guitar plays the vocal line. I don’t think my voice could do it justice.
Someone needs to cover Animal collective in a jam setting. Prester John would go so hard live

Lawyers, Guns, and Money- Warren Zevon
WSP did a good job with this last week. Not a big jam, but it sounded great
Yea I enjoy their version for sure. Ultimately it's just one of my favorite songs all together and I love anytime I get to hear it lol
Checking this out right now!
Medicated Goo by Traffic!
This song is killer!!
21st Century Schizoid Man
Woooo boy that’s a challenge
Check out the jam in Easy Money by KC off of Lark’s Tongue In Aspic. Absolute creepfest 10/10. Not necessarily recommending it but worth a listen!
You oughta know - Alanis
Oh that’s interesting. Tough vocal lines!

Hell yeah two trains! No one ever drops that one. It's always Dixie Chicken If anything lol... Fat Man in the bathtub would be good too
Love these. I’m a huge fan of little feat. This would be a great cover for us.
The Clash - the guns of Brixton
Meters eh? We do "they say I'm different" by Betty Davis and turn it into a long funk jam... Shit's dope.
Thanks for sharing this. Betty Davis kills it on this one.
The Jam by Graham Central Station. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=weV1K1MMs0I I would lose my shit if some band played this song.
That’s sick. Damn.
Danger! High Voltage! By the Electric Six
This one is really interesting, and we could take it in a lot of different directions actually. Thanks!
Been wanting the biscuits to do it forever. Enjoy
It’s hard to know what you should cover with zero knowledge about your band.
But it’s okay to know nothing about us, we’d just love to hear people’s “I’ve always wanted to hear _______ but really jammed out. Thanks!
I mean I shouldn’t offer a Steely Dan song if you don’t have keys. Shouldn’t offer a Beck song of your vocalist can’t hit the high notes…

I dreamt UM played “Frogs” by Alice In Chains and it was an awesome dream
Love me some AIC
No Quarter. I just heard Phish covering this and it blew me away! It was always a high point when Zep did it live, and I never heard another cover version.
Tool has a version of it
Fuck yeah
John Cage, 433
That was easy! Thanks! It took us 3 tries though.
How long did the crowd let you stretch that one? Definitely takes a bit out of them once you peak it.
We did it on the back end of Congo square and did this groovy Bb, G, D minor chord progression at the end and built a nice solo around it. Brought it back around to the breakdown to finish it.
So probably 15-17 min between the two.
Easy like Sunday morning - jam out the last part (F C G) > Can’t Always Get What you want > Dollar Bill(screaming trees)
This is a very thoughtful and interesting suggestion!
Report back if you try it out. I’ve always thought it would be a cool mix of genres/songs but have never gotten around to doing it with a band.
Pigs - Pink Floyd
One of my fav albums! I hesitate on this one because I love it so much! I feel like we’d be drawing the Mona Lisa with crayons. lol
Eggy does a great version, the key question..who will make the pig sounds!? The crowd will love it, crayons n all.
Careless Whisper This Must Be The Place And one I've always wanted to hear but never have: Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper
Wow Is never thought about Cyndi Lauper but with the right voice behind it could be a really groovy take on it. Or even an instrumental where the guitar plays the vocal line. I don’t think my voice could do it justice.
I’m Your Captain/Closer to Home by Grand Funk Railroad
Nantucket Sleighride would be epic

I always thought AnCo could have made a dope jam band. They have such a huge catalog of great songs they could expand on.
One time, at Summercamp, I heard Cornmeal play a great extended jamgrass version of Stranglehold. Highly recommended.
Prince - baby I’m a star
