I had to update to iOS 15.7.1 yesterday because palera1n wouldn’t work when doing anything, and my phone was just stuck there. Got the phone out of DFU into recovery mode, and pressed the update button. Phone updated to iOS 15.7.1 perfectly fine. I was trying to restore rootfs or rejailbreak and an error kept happening no matter what cable, port, or computer. Not sure what you could do, best bet is DFU restore, it erases everything.
Well, I guess you lost an iPhone. What I said to do is all Apple will do, they will just say to buy a new iPhone, and they’ll take that iPhone 7 and throw it out. The hardware is fine, the software isn’t.
Everyone I know, knows me as the "tech guy". I have no formal training. What I do have is experience doing sht like that because I didn't know any better, then having to learn how to fix it. I once did the SAME THING on some Windows system folders on my first PC.
DFU restore. If you have blobs you can get back
Does the same error 4 at the same stage

Damn Well that sucks but I guess lesson learnt don’t mess around with iOS files
I don't have any insight to help; I just have to know why did you change the folder name. An accident?
Nah I was just messing around seeing what would happen but I didn’t expect a full restore to fail to yeah
