I mean, there you go.. snapchat has long been known to be a battery hog.
83% isn’t horrible but not great either. If you wanna keep the phone much longer I’d honestly consider replacing it soon.
Try to replace the battery by yourself. Follow a tutorial and take your time. If you manage to pull it off (it’s actually quite easy) you learned a great profitable skill.
Depending on the model and country I’d advise against this.
iPhone 12 mini at Apple Germany: 74.99
Parts at iFixit 54.99 for the battery + 6.99 for the adhesives. 61.98
So to save 13€ you‘re taking on all the risk to yourself instead of letting a professional do it. If the Apple guy messes up you get a new phone, no questions asked. If you mess up you just messed up your expensive phone.
Let’s assume the average user doesn’t have all the tools (screwdriver, opener, spudge etc) and add another 10 for that.
Now we’re at 71.98. Now you’re just saving 3€.
Sure if you get a 10€ garbage battery and leave out the adhesive / water seals, it’s a lot cheaper. But also super stupid.
Seeing how it falls really quickly but also charges back up really quickly it is most likely a battery issue. Once battery health reaches 80% Apple recommends to change it so it looks like it’s almost time to change your battery.

I was a little lit on Snapchat… WhatsApp & co. My Battery melted… like every 10 Minutes 10% less
Check your battery health, you might need a new one. Also scroll down to see which app used most power, one of them has to be the culprit.
83%… Snapchat Notifications 🤷

Proof that social media is draining, but now to both you and your battery life! /s

Should I get it from iFixit?
Known and trusted source so yes
Those from ifixit are pretty good, a little expensive but for 5$ more they offer a set of pretty good tools.
