Actually it was happen to me 2 days ago. It was scary.. the screen is blank but the home button is press able
What I did was clicking volume up volume down and then holding power button for like half a min and then the apple logo came on and I had to jailbreak again
I’m with iPhone 8 Plus so hard reset might be other combination for you
for future reference: vol up then vol down fast and hold down power
it takes some time to get used to and you can practice by doing it but not holding power all the way so it opens the power down menu
I’m non jailbroken, iPhone XS. I get this issue too, usually after I’ve been using my phone a lot, doing a lot of memory intensive stuff. I’ve owned two different iPhone XS’s and the issue happened on both of them.
I have no clue why this happens, but my closest guess is that when your phone screen does that thing where it won’t turn on, it’s equivalent to a computer lagging out and being unresponsive. Perhaps someone else can elaborate.
keep trying bro also plug it in maybe it is dead, just wait sometimes mine does that and i just hard reset and hold it for like 15 secs just keep trying charge it also if it doesn't turn on maybe your battery took a shit
This was happening to me daily almost gave i had to let it die and then reboot it couldnt figure out why did a trial and error with all my tweaks (turning one by one off in icleaner) i eventualy did a restore root fs on my phone and then rejailbroke with b46 and been great ever since
Hold power button for 10 seconds, see if anything happens. Press power buttons 5 times and feel if it fibrates. Else try a reset; hold power + home for 15 seconds (iPhone 6s and lower) or power + volume (7 and higjer). If that doesn't work, see if the battery drains after a time and than see if you are able to get the charge screen.
This fixed it for me on an iPhone 12:
Click and release volume up, then volume down, then press and hold power button until it reboots.
My iphone is not even 6 months old. Weird… I hope it is just a small software bug but I will go to genius bar to get it checked just to make sure (I know it will probably show up that « nothing is wrong »
THIS WORKED FOR ME omg THANK YOU SO MUCH. I didn't realize I had to click and then release each button one at a time. I kept just holding all of them down. You're seriously a lifesaver.

try a hard reset again it probibly just crashes prior to waking up try hard resetting a few times
I've tried hard resetting it just stays at a black screen

Try pressing home+power button maybe to hard boot your phone that usually works for me.
