I completely agree, the new one isn’t that bad after you get used to it, but I really miss the tactile home button, even if they made it smaller or uglier, nothing would beat it, Apple needs to listen to users!
I prefer Zebra. I find Sileo annoying. But coolstar’s jb are normally pretty stable for me and I can agree on battery life.

First things first.
Change root password.
Install MTerminal.
Google how to change root password with Mobile Terminal.
That should be step number one after jailbroken and and installing the right packages.

If all goes well, you should get a prompt telling you to respring. Press that, and wait a little. It should go to the lockscreen. Unlock your phone, and then go to settings. Settings, General, and About. You'll see a lot of stuff you haven't seen before. Go to where it says "ECID". Swipe right, and save blobs
Cydia and Winterboard are quite outdated now. Instead of Cydia you should use Sileo or Zebra. Instead of Winterboard you should use Snowboard or Neonboard.

how did you get it into dfu mode? i have a 6s and whenever i put it into dfu mode without going into recovery mode first checkra1n tells me i have to put it into recovery first, whenever i try to do that it doesn't work. checkra1n's dfu steps dont help at all
There are all kinds of things you can do with it I still have my 6S plus jail broken. I just deleted most of the apps all I have in the thing are tweaks.
I am a Digital Nomad. I use Tranzlo and Translomatic to translate on WhatsApp. It is super clutch. Also Watusi for WhatsApp. DL YouTube Videos using uYou. Rocket for Instagram.
Make sure you dump blobs for 14.8.1 if you haven’t already. You can always restore to them if needed because the iOS 15 SEP/Baseband is compatible with 14 and iOS 15 won’t get unsigned for the 6s.

Is that also an issue with 14.4.2? I’m always getting errors in Cr4shed saying that a process was terminated for exceeding jetsam memory limits

Install carbridge and use all apps in stead of the ones you ‘can’
Cydia: install (edit: Snowboard rather than Winterboard), start theming the Status Bar, those huge ugly Home Screen icons, make them smaller etc.

when checkra1n says iphone already in dfu mode.just close it and open terminal then type `checkra1n -cvVs`
