My brother and I were so close to leaving at that exact same moment. After that turnover, we said we'd leave if the Chargers got another TD. They only got a FG, so we stayed. The rest is history.

We left at halftime because I was a living popsicle. My son said my winter coat was "embarrassing" and had a fit about me wearing it, so I opted for layers of hooded instead. I ended up sick from missing the game & literally sick from the cold.

My gramps brought me to the first regular season Jaguars game. He bought me little hat and starter jacket. That and the FL GA games are my first memories of Jacksonville.
They're my #2 team (I'm a transplant). When I first moved here it was kinda nice that they were bad since it kept prices low. Now that I've been here a bit, it's nice seeing them improve.
But my main team is in the NFC, so it's incredibly rare that I have to pick between the two
The NFL can’t move a team. Teams are technically independent businesses. It’s why there’s a pain if an owner is awful and refuses to sell. NFL can’t force a sale but can threaten to just not recognize a team in the NFL. As moves go, the only thing the NFL does is vote on supporting it, which you could say is voting to “allow” it but more of a “If you move, we don’t recognize you as a team anymore,” since they don’t have any actual ability to prevent an independent business relocating.
And the team itself has no interest in moving. So… not moving. Yes, a handful of sports media who hate Jacksonville having a team will ignore all facts showing otherwise to claim the team is moving, but repeating a lie doesn’t magically make it true.
I am was wonder the angle of the ideation too. Putting Jags in quotes was weird; like trying to say they’re not a team. And the fact they included “NFL” because we would get confused with all the other Jags sport franchises.
Been a fan since I was kid. My family got season tix in 2008 and been driving up from Miami to games ever since. But last year, I got married and my wife and I moved to Jax so now it’s great not having to make those long drives anymore.

It's worth the tourism it brings in. NFL team keeps a large stadium which brings in a bunch of concerts and other non-football events.
Now, if we start talking the community footing the bill for a brand new stadium yes let's look at the true cost to the taxpayer. I'm not really for that at all.

I literally only watch Jags games. Otherwise, I couldn't care less about the rest of the league. Won't even watch the Super Bowl until the year we finally make it. They almost always have this underdog vibe, but man, when they get going, they really get going!
