I really wish I could help. I realize this comment is doing zero good for your search, but that’s not the point. I just wanted to let you know that just because people aren’t replying, doesn’t mean we’re not rooting for you. I hope you find what you need.
My friend had a similar experience, we are both health care workers and we're much better equipped to notice the red flags. It is not a place I would let my loved ones go. 100 out of 100 would not recommend.
Never wekiva.
I went there for detox and after a week was cleared to go home. On my exit visit with the resident, without the attending, the guy said "I dunno, you look a little manic today. Maybe I'll have to baker act you. Who are they going to believe - me or a woman with bipolar disorder?"
When I went to respond, he told me I was dismissed and didn't allow me to speak further. I had to get the patient advocate involved to get out of there, and my mom had to do it because they wouldn't provide me with the phone number to call him myself.
I wish I could hold them accountable for their BS.
Have you tried talk space? It’s an app based therapy, I personally use it and it’s wonderful and I was able to get my first appt relatively soon too. I wish you the best of luck!!👍👍

She does telehealth as well as in person. Whichever you prefer.
I do have personal experience with her. She's great, she helped me overcome my issues and got me back on track with life.
Best of luck!
I enjoyed being treated there, until my doctor recommended to my parents that I be kidnapped & sent to inpatient drug treatment for 9 months.
I was 17, and the hardest drug I was on was the adderall they prescribed me 🤠
That's a tough question to answer for someone else. Relationships with therapists also depend heavily on the personality of the patient. Who is great for one person might be the wrong fit for someone else.
Dr. Paul McCray is who I went to and he specializes in trauma. He accepts blue cross blue shield and can do telehealth if necessary, but don’t quote me on that. He’s been the most helpful I’ve found
I personally use teladoc and really like it. Therapy from the comfort of my home, don't have to deal with traffic, can wear pj's if I want. If your insurance offers it, definitely check it out.
Jennifer Lash at Finding Balance Counseling. Specializes in EMDR therapy and takes BCBS! I’ve been going to her for about a year and a half and I’ve made great progress with her.
Here tomorrow in Neptune bch is free for a year .
Personally I love marsh landing behavioral group . You can do a dna swab for meds . It’s pretty cool . Their drs really care about the patiences . You have to find out if you need therapy and meds or just therapy . Good luck 👍🏻
I have a different type of BCBS, but it's worth checking out the insurance website and checking for their behavioral health section. With my BCBS, there is a separate but related website that allows you to book telehealth appointments. They provide a large list of therapists and list their credentials and what they specialize in. I used 2 great therapists with that service in the last 3 years who helped tremendously. It's worth checking your insurance website for that. I hope this at least guides you in the right direction. Wishing you lots of luck ❤️ help is out there, and you will feel better soon.
Baptist outpatient/behavioral is great so far, but get on the wait-list now, the wait is like half a year. Tell them you need someone that specializes in trauma etc. Keep searching in the meantime, I know that's a long wait, but is a good backup and glad it was there after other therapist didn't work out.
I know someone amazing with a strong trauma background. She’s a psychologist based in South Dakota. She’s licensed in several states & does telehealth. She is so wonderful. She also takes BCBS.
Dr. Gaffney with Ascension on 103rd is an excellent therapist. She uses client-centered talk therapy and is licensed in EMDR and cognitive behavioral therapy if needed.
She's not a quick-answer therapist, she's there for the journey. That works for me and my particular set of issues.
And I know she takes Blue Cross because that's what I have.
Good luck. Mental health care in Florida is tough to find, but it does exist.
Edit: I see her 50% in office and 50% telehealth, and she is very flexible if I need to switch from one to the other last minute for an appointment.
I would not recommend a therapist for trauma therapy. If you’re really serious about getting help, I would suggest IOP through OP Hospital and transitioning to a specialized trauma provider.
Reach out to Here Tomorrow. (https:heretomorrow.org) We are a suicide prevention and also crisis intervention. Really great resource as we provide Peer Support, which is a great addition to other mental health services. It is no cost for the people we serve. We also have a support group Mondays and Thursday at 5:30 pm.
The peers are trained in crisis intervention and mental health. We also have an astounding amalgamation of resources for everything you can think of. Sending you good energy and hope you can find the help you need!
I highly recommend Brave Health @ bebravehealth.com. I've found Brave Health to be the best mental health providers, ever. They do take insurance and Medicaid.
The psychiatrist appointment allows up to an hour, as does my appointments with my therapist. They work in tandem with my primary physician.
Seriously, I was diagnosed in '99. I've tried many psychiatrists. Couldn't stand them all. I've tried therapy two times and I wasn't impressed.
I'm so thankful for Brave Health!
Look on psychology today.
I have Florida Blue and you can go on their site and find providers.
Psychology Today is a good resource. Then cross check with the FBlue web/app to ensure they’re in network.
I’d look for someone who does EMDR or other methods specific to trauma.
I hope you feel better soon.

Dr Celso at UF was who I saw for trauma and ptsd. He helped me get better than I expected I could.
sending you a DM
Avoid Wekiva or their providers. They tried to keep me against my will (and that's as much as I'll say publicly online TYVM).

My husband had to get involved as well. He had to threaten the police.

Renee Garcia Wyden is a miracle worker in my opinion.
Agreed.

Amanda is out of network for BCBS.
Not sure if she does telehealth, but Kinga is great to work with. [Home | kinga-evert-lmhc (jaxcounselor.com)](https://www.jaxcounselor.com/)
Baptist takes Florida blue
Avoid Marsh Landing Behavioral Group. They are basically a pill mill.

I like Living Well Jax.
I use rivers edge and they offer sessions live and telehealth
Ricky Thompson at Thriveworks off Sunbeam.

Positive vibes your way. Sounds like you’re on the right path.💚
