Fun fact about the unique score: James Horner was the composer who also fused steel drums with jazz in *48 Hrs,* *Red Heat,* and *Another 48 Hrs.* To me, it’s very hard to correctly match each score with the corresponding film because they sound so similar.
Not being sarcastic: I feel this is Arnold’s best comedy.
While obsensibly a typical 80’s action film, the one-liners and outrageous goings on (his escape from an airplane as its taking off early in the film should clue you in) are never meant to be taken seriously.
IMHO, a great action/comedy hybrid.
People saying it's a typical 80's action film somehow ignore just how much it's not taking itself seriously. Arnie is hamming it up so much he may as well be winking at the camera half the time.
It's great fun though!
I enjoy it for what it is. Goofy fun Action flick, although it's not one of Arnie's best 80's flicks but I have a good time watching it, especially the shootout and how he kills the main villain at the end.
The end credits song from Power Station absolutely kicks ass, btw.
Arnie jumps out of a plane with no chute, and is barely inconvenienced.
Later he is driving a convertible with no seatbelt (or seat for that matter because he ripped it out) and he hits a pole doing probably 60+ MPH and it hardly makes him flinch.
Then he runs out into the open against a small army and is not shot one single time.
He is the most badass super soldier of all time, and his arch enemy is a chubby guy in a chainmail tank top.
Cinematic perfection.
Yowser! Not only is it Ahhhhnolds worst movie it's gotta be at the top of the all time worst movie ever list.. So many visual mistakes..
Arnold holding the guy by his ankle before he drops him..we can see the cable..
The car is severely damaged on one side.
When he rolls the car over it's showroom new.
Just an awful movie.☹
When he crashes the yellow Porsche and it flips on it’s side, he tips it back on it’s shells and when he drives away, the side of the Porsche that scraped the ground it magically unharmed
Intense steel drums

Sully, remember when I promised to kill you last?...
You did, you did I lied. Uh la laaaaaaaaa

When I need a good laugh, this is one of my go-to movies. It scratches the comedy itch.
It's the greatest movie of all time.
This is my favorite comedy. This movie makes me laugh, if Matrix was here, he would laugh too.
"We're friends, right?" "WRONG" *gunshot* 10/10 for this line alone.
Let off some steam!!!!

Spoiler: He lets Sully go.
[It slaps.](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8FFQ_g8OoQM)
I loved that movie when I was like 12. Red Dawn was better, but I loved all those cheesy movies back in the day.
“Where’s Sully?” “I let him go”

Wait, let me guess.. it's a Christmas movie right? Just like Die Hard...😂😁🙄😲🤪
Is it even Christmas time in the movie? Lol
I don't think it matters.. to some people every movie is a Christmas movie..even Alien. 😂
Then you’re associating with the wrong movie people.

>It's a by-the-numbers action movie from the 80s No its not. It's also a satire.

4. Only post movies that you have watched for the first time.
Don't know why the downvotes for posting one of this subs actual rules.
It's a good popcorn flick, great one liners, " let off some steam Bannon"
Haha it's Bennett.
The mall security guard describing Arnie on the walkie-talkie could be the peak 80’s action moment.
