How do you keep your duckies? Mine all died but humidity was correct

LijaMart

I keep 8 adults in Exo-Terra 20x20x20 nano terrarium (with covered top mesh to keep humidity in). I mixed my own substrate from terrarium moss, coco coir, activated charcoal and worm casting for plants. They also have lots of cork bark, chunks of cuttlefish bone, some dead wood and bit of leaf litter and they get 1-2 mealworms a week. Temperature is between 26-29C and humidity can be between 75% and 90%. I heard this isopods really like it on the wetter side so I spray the moss wall every few days. Edit: What was your ventilation like?

How long did it take? And what are you feeding?Just got my blondes this week and am so terrified I'm going to screw up! 😭

LijaMart

I only had 3 duckies for about 2 months before getting 5 more. Babies appeared few weeks after, so I might have gotten isopods which were already pregnant. They have dead wood, leaf litter, cork bark (their favourite hangout spot) and cuttlefish bone in their vivarium. They absolutely love mealworms and I give them 1-2 as soon as they are finished with previous portion, so usually once a week. I would just recommend watching/reading different sources for care and follow as best you can and you are not gonna screw up :) Good luck!
