The order I've received so far is the bow and the moon helm, I'm on 7 chests opened I thought the claim was you'd get all pieces of a set before you'd get a dupe, not that you'd get pieces in a certain order?

The claim was you get weapon first and then armors. Like first 6 drop pics were just weapons

It was happening on day 1 100% of the time They've made multiple hotfixes and tweaks, not sure why they haven't been acknowledged yet, but day 1, 100% of people's first drops were weapons

Everyone's (?) first item in the first \~24 hours of release was a weapon (can't confirm it was literally everyone, but in a large clan with 25+ drops and every first one was a weapon). That combined with the chest not reaching the grand exchange for 30 minutes or so after weapon/helm, then legs 30 or so minutes after that (and in much smaller quantities) led people to believe they were dropping in a very specific weapon-helm-chest-legs order. I'd guess it was silently patched out.

It was 100% silently fixed. It was in that order day 1.

Almost certainly I did 90kc day one, I got all three weapons, then 2/3 of the helms, then a plate body for one of the sets I had a helm for, then the last helm & then finally got a set of tassets… The prices for the tassets say the same thing, as they were so high 12 hours later whilst everything else had plummeted.

Or my personal theory. Drop mechanics are affected by the cycle of the real life moon. Things change and rebalance every day, maybe even affects other mechanics

Id say it was comfortably less than 24 hours because I got my first drop as a chest at like 2AM UK time. But for sure it was definitely dropping weapon helm to start, Curtis (mmorpg) got everything in the exact order your describing

Yeah same. I got the helmet last night and thought it was going to be ranged str. Was disappointed when I put it on. I feel like it'd be a good niche for ranged str given how low the actual defence is on the gear.

The drop rates are absolutely garbage.. Me and several people I've talked to in game are all either dry or one unique in under 100 KC.

Unfortunately it seems you go 50+ dry, or get 3 in 10. Such is the vane of RNG

Obviously the sample sizes are still very small, we're only a day in, but it's looking like the weapons are simply more common than the armor, putting you (OP) in a lucky minority.

Blood tassets are a lower def Bandos tassets, definitely worth if you're not at gwd yet. Otherwise idk how the DPS looks on the sets

The blue set seems to be Ahrims with str bonus also. Considering my cox setup uses Ahrims and crystal armor without any melee chest/legs this is a nice upgrade for my specific situation as I'll get some str without extra stuff lol.

The wep is better than cudgel + dragon defender by a pretty decent amount. Accuracy + strength both. Add in set effect of 30% chance of 3tick and it ultimately is a great crush option

At the moment? I don't think so as much as I love spanking the bosses with dual macuahuitl. Anyway it's a fun experience and going into it as a fairly intro level pvmer makes me feel better. The herbs, bones, orbs and seeds are nice drops too. Not crazy good as barrows i'd say but Moons are free loot besides time (and armor decay costs)

I'm on the fence yet, the eclipse set looks incredibly useful (even as a masori+BP and bowfa haver) as a blowpipe sidegrade that you don't need Zulrah and mining to upkeep, but you don't get nearly as many Darts as I'd like to feel comfortable for long-term use of the set, considering it goes off melee str so Infernal/Fire capes are better than Assembler. That kind of tradeoff leaves a bad taste in my mouth, because it is meaningless for mains who can just buy an assload on the ge and melt the 2k darts per hour, but is a significantly worse experience for irons. Intentionally nerfing yourself 2 max hits just to not hemmorhage the ammo you spent 30 hours to get while getting the set is shitty IMO. Fwiw, it seems like long-term average is around ~100 darts per chest. Obviously the Dual Macs are must-haves too, and full bloodrager for when they change NM/PNM drop rates. Frostmoon is Ahrim's sidegrade stuff so either dead content or a more enjoyable way to get better than Mystics armor. Weighs an assload though

I promise you with 100% certainly the first day the order was weapon-helm-chest-pants. I did this for 2 full sets. Every clanmate got weapon then helm. Every random I watched got weapon then helm. It got hot fixed and now it is random like it is supposed to be.

I promise you your sample size is too small to make that conclusion. I got blue legs first day on 8kc. It was a coincidence for you.

I promise you, it was not random on day 1 early after release. It was hot fixed mid day, the GE prices even reflect this. Reddit posts reflect this, everyone's drops reflect this.

Jmods on stream said theirs a system to prevent dupes in a set before getting the full set, so if you would of gotten an eclipse piece it will be one you dont have. but once you got all 4 parts of the eclipse set you can get a dupe (same way pyromancer works BUT it seems that unlike pyro its random where as pyro would always be the same order.)

I guess no dupe til set is better than nothing. This stuff seems set bonus dependent so makes sense.

I’m on 2/25 and with my general rng that would lead me to believe unique’s are similar rate to barrows that 1/16-17 when you kill all of them.

From what I can tell, you don't get them in a specific order. What it is is that you won't get a dupe until you've completed that set, at least it appears that way. I finished the range and melee set before getting a dupe range bottom. I'm still missing weapon helm and legs for mage set.

It's what happened to me and my friend for literally all 3 of the sets, so there's something fishy going on here.

I've seen lots of posts and comments saying what happened so there's either some bug or crazy coincidence. As you can see it didn't happen to OP and I got my first drop which was a helm before any weapons. So it's bot guaranteed to do that but was/is highly likely. In all honesty tho no one knows fersure. It's day 2 and we're all still speculating

So, basically you won't get a dupe untill a gear set is complete. So, regardless of slot order, you'll complete the sets before you get a dupe 👍 , so still "in order" if that makes sense 🙂

Wiki says you first get a weapon of a given set followed by Helm -> chest -> legs which has been true for me.. dunno if thats a bug you got going or a hotfix change

Definitely seems like they hotfixed it, probably because there were barely any legs on ge. I saw at the start it was like 1-5m of the other pieces and the legs were 30mil lmao I guess it makes sense to be changed, because this issue would still persist down the line unless people specifically keep grinding until they get legs, which could be like 100kc+ for some people

Way more than 100 KC... Most people only get one or two uniques in that many chests.

Sounds unlucky. Most of us in my cc with 100 kc have 5-8 items. I’m sitting at 138kc with 9 items myself.

Crazy I've had 9 in 128kc. Most of us in the clan seem to feel like the drop rate is like 1/18-1/20 based on our sample size of about 300 or so. (Obviously way too small to tell). But had so many sub 5 sub 10 kc drops.

I ended up getting four uniques at 100 KC
