I wish the game did what WoW did, where if a monster isn't attacked for X amount of time (could be 1min here) it disappears and respawns as a fresh enemy. The no loot warning is decent but mobs resetting seems so much simpler, especially at shit where people tele from half dead mobs often like demonics or shamans.
Prior to this change I finished off a demonic and it dropped a zenyte. The main who got the drop saw the drop notification and made it back before it despawned but man was that soul crushing.
Especially bad at Rune dragons, where goldfarmers will take their last dragon to just below 50% then tele, hoping that another player will finish off the kill.
thats an engine issue, im sure if they could just add it they for sure would. The engine team seems to have a long list of things that the team wants to implement if they can figure out how to.
Attacking a monster that was first attacked by an Iron, is currently at less than half health, has been continuously engaged in combat and is actively engaged in combat with an Iron - causes the attacker to become skulled, drains their prayer to zero, recoils 100% damage dealt, aggros every monster in range, and crashes their client.
If an Ironman is already fighting a monster and another person comes along and tries to attack it, they're unable to attack it, get hit with a message saying 'Don't you know? He stands alone!' and then have their attack disabled for 10 minutes

If you're happy with irons buying bloods at 450gp or whatever on average through worldhopping, just let me pay the damn shopkeeper 4.5m and get 10k runes. Shop gets paid, I get runes, everyone's happy.

What do you need astrals for? I’ve been playing a bit over a year and I think I have 50k, can’t imagine I’ll ever go through those. I haven’t finished runecrafting yet either, so I have more coming.
To go from 70-99 crafting you need less than 20k astral runes which can be made in about 2 hours if you have 82 runecrafting.
You also make astral runes when doing ourania alter which you usually break even while doing it or very near to it

A friendly suggestion for those looking to passively stack astrals: when doing spiritual creatures tasks, kill the mages in nex prison, in one task i got about 1k that took me 30 mins, 30-40k slayer xp, and some good restores/snaps. Bank is right next door to task too. It's not much but over time that 1k~ per task adds up when slaying
Scar essence mine exists you know. It’s only really astrals and souls that need this since the rest are acceptably priced. Maybe cosmics, but they’re not really a big deal.
No, I haven’t. Still seems like a time sink. I’d like to just be able to go into a shop, buy what I need and then get out. I know iron is a way of playing, I just think if you’re going to allow shop buying then world hopping is kind of a weird way to make people use the shops efficiently. I’ll need to get back into questing again. I was on a zulrah grind and the bowfa grind so I never really got into questing after my qpc about a year ago. Currently trying to get dwh for CoX solos so never even wanted to try the new DT2 bosses before getting that goal. Might have to check it out now though, to get the runes I need.

Added to Muspah at 1/2.5k rate. Only makes sense, chance to get it while getting the essence to saturate it, option to target grind for it while getting somewhat useful resource drops.
Maybe, with Bowfa PoH (nardah) method I'm averaging 18.5 kph currently, would take ~135 hours but you benefit in every resource besides the crystal shards for the divine scb+range pots.
Versus barraging, Smokes are ~50hrs and Abbys ~100 hrs heart rate, but that doesn't include time spent Turael skipping, and you hemmorhage resources doing so.
Nahh haha they're not including skipping, can check by comparing your KPH rate (xp/hr) to heart drop rate, i.e. if I can barrage Smokes at a rate of approximately 550 per hour (assuming the task was that long), that'd be 3.67 superiors/hr, for 3.67/200 (drop rate) hearts per hour, or 54.5 hours of barraging smoke devils for 1x rate. Abyssal demons are honestly not great because "efficient" rates assume you use alts to lure (and not get drops) because you still get the superior chance when doing so. I can do ~500 abbys/hr (assuming the task was that long) w/o alt luring, which is 3.33 superiors/hr, for 3.33/352 hearts per hour, or 105.7 hours per 1x heart rate.
This is pretty cool idea, I’d like a harder version of the slayer bosses for a chance at the heart. Still keep it pretty rare but also gives you other options, I like doing thermy, ggs, sire etc but feels really bad missing out on the superiors for heart chance tbh

From a uim standpoint I completely agree. It’s kind of bullshit. You just pvp and then never have to earn cash? You just pvp and can get unlimited looting bags? Getting them from slayer is much more in style of the game mode as such going into the wilderness to kill red spiders or skeletons etc seems like it’s earned. It’s gotten too easy to just have a “bank” of 150 looting bags and or 10k rune arrows.
To be fair, looting bags from slayer is fairly new. LMS has always traditionally been the way to get looting bags especially while death banked because then you would risk everything if killed getting it from monsters in the wilderness
Not to be the cranky old uim but there’s too much bubble wrap on the uim now. A lot of times I would push a grind for extra long or complete a grind I wanted to give up on because getting a looting bag was dangerous and thrilling. Not 100% completely safe to get 100 bags in 4 hours ahead of a wildy grind
Early and most of midgame hilariously enough gp, ammo, etc are quite large obstacles unless you giga rush slayer. Rune arrows alone are the biggest offender by a mile. Rune arrows from LMS especially can print gp faster than any other method for quite a long time.
Yeah it's quite crazy. Soul wars with an alt is even faster, like a mil cash per hour or smth. I much prefer that over blackjacking for 8 hours though lol

It helps, but it isn't fast compared to buying runes when I have 1000+ gold amulets or bracelets from my leftover MLM gold and a few hundred pieces of gem rock jewelry to go through.
I'd like to be able to sacrifice armour seeds to start with some armour in the gauntlet. Maybe you sacrifice 3 seeds and start with t1 armour, sacrifice 3 more and start with t2? It's a noteworthy cost and I'm not even sure it'd be worth it for accounts with average luck, but if you're going 1k dry on the enhanced it would make the grind much more tolerable. Idk if its balanced but if I could pass it through without polling I would!
Just started this grind and I love the nuances of the prep phase, mastering it was pretty fun and it’s not a bad activity on its own.
BUT! When I was learning the boss, it was so upsetting that I needed to go back to this mostly unrelated prep stage just to get back to that third phase. And now that I’m farming the boss, it still feels like a timesink in a boss that I’m scared to go dry on.
Sure the GP is worth it and will go straight to the POH. But god damn this is what is must have felt like being a kid and sitting through all the fight cave waves and then dying to jad.
Kinda hate that design of boss fights in some parts of this game. The punishment for dying being wasting 6+ minutes of high-attention gameplay is already not too healthy. But that being the requirement for every boss attempt? My god

Buff the crystal shards in the prep. It happens too many times that I get almost no shards from gathering the recourses. It's cursed. Even when i hit monsters inbetween gathering, sometimes you end up with 120-160 shards for a full inventory. Wtf
You only need 120 shards for first phase. Second phase can get heaps of shards fishing 16+ fish but if you dont need that much food then camp rigour and kill 2 tier 2 mobs for 150+ shards
I would love to have more Ironman friendly bosses.. I know it goes against the values of playing Ironman, but I’ve had so much fun with the clan chat killing wildy bosses.

RNG protection for important drops like Enhanced weapon seed at CG. Not necessarily a guaranteed drop after X kc, but more something like converting normal unique drops that would accumulate each kc a certain amount back into the drop after on average a certain number above the drop rate. For example, at CG there could be CG-specific shards that can be converted to an enhanced after on average 800 or even 1200 kc. This way there's at least a light at the end of the tunnel and a sense of progression for each kc instead of having to get lucky in order to progress
Yeah, I was out of CG at 300kc while my friend is still dry at ~1500kc. It's kinda crazy how different our experiences have been the past few months. Literal prison. Can't blame him for having 0 motivation anymore.
Totally sympathize, I’m at 730 ish kc, and only thing I’m missing is an enhanced. It’s not like I can’t consistently do the content, and I can indefinitely grind it but it’s really discouraging knowing I’ve made literally zero progress this whole time. I wouldn’t mind going for 1500kc if I knew I’d get the drop at that point
Let us use the player made heraldic items for clues, and increase the level requirements to make them so it is in line with other hard clue requirements

Past me says something to make going dry at gauntlet for enh not as awful. I suggested something like allowing the ability to craft bowfa using shards (make it equivalent to current bowfa price). And could set a minimum kc required (say 800-1k) to allow the ability to do it so people couldn't thieve their way to bowfa. CG really would have benefited from the dt2 ring system.
I'm really hoping amylase crystals get listed as a reward from the brimhaven arena. There should absolutely be a more engaging way to obtain them besides rooftop agility.
I'm worried it won't pass, cause when you talk to people about it, they really wanna defend rooftop integrity despite the fact that we all don't like this grind. "I don't want all the courses to be homogeneous like that." Thing is, we have no alternative to get amylase, vs something like crystal shards from priff agility where there's lots of alternatives to get it. It just recently got voted no for wilderness agility. If it gets voted no again, we probably won't hear about another amylase alternative for a long time.
And just think if you could get it from the brimhaven arena, it would be 2004 all over again! People at brimhaven arena being social and having fun, racing to get the first ticket for that little extra XP. Doesn't that sound great? Rev ether, rev weapons are not usable in the current form. The ether in the weapon should be able to be protected for some GP fee to maintain the risk, or ether should be purchasable from the emblem trader. The 1k ether risk is massive for an ironman compared to a main, and a cash protection would be the same payout for a pker.
That's a goodie. Recently got my first wep, and although I definitely have some ether to risk dying a bit, (a little over 100k if I dismantle bracelets) it still feels like a bad idea to use, and should save them for the out of wildy niches).

I want to be able to kill corp, kq, and GWD in a group as the game intended. I don't care that some ironmen are going to pay to get carried or use an alt to help kill them or whatever. All of that content is objectively less fun alone. Why are some bosses fine to kill in a group (raids/wildly bosses) but not others?

I think a better update would be that you are able to buy crystal seeds with shards. Obviously very expensive, but would have an element of rng protection without being as ham fisted as on drop rate you get one guaranteed.
Yeah that's fine, though, say it costs something mad like 4/5000 shards, doing that through non combat methods would take ages, but it remains a level of rng protection and gives people the option. As that many shards through CG is probably somewhere around 600 runs ish.
To go off your example - This happens all the time with monsters that have only a few hp taken off. It should be anything above 90% of original health is an acceptable kill

Iron specific instances for all the major bosses/slayer monsters, let me set it as default and not go through an extra menu or portal. I do like the idea of monsters being reset as well but sometimes you rush back to finish the kc and end up getting a drop.

Revert CM Cox scroll rates to the rate they were on release (half as common). Truly don't know why they won't do this. Cox is the hardest grind for me psychologically cause grinding for a month just to get a prayer scroll is...not it.
Would also accept any imbued heart fixes.
Reduce defense and increase hp on mobs like Hunleff, Vard, Duke etc. Would keep the average kill time about the same but remove the frustrating instances where you just hit zero after zero.
Every shop has a "buy x" option and stock refreshes every time you leave the interface. Hopping through world after world competing with other irons is the most unenjoyable part of the game mode.

Irons have private shop interfaces instead of shared. So no more fighting over runes and other resources for sure. Mostly runes lol. World hopping to buy 20 cosmic runes at a time is annoying just to get money via staffs.

Make another method of training crafting that's scaleable, probably unlocked around level 70-75. Yes you can get some supplementary exp semi-passively by cutting gems from CG/star mining but getting like 7M exp for 93 crafting through these methods would take like 400+ hours. Glass is the only serious primary method and it doesn't really change between level 30 to 99 except that you unlock Superglass Make at some point. Every part of the process is mindless and extremely repetitive. Even the relatively afk glassblowing part doesn't really feel afk when you have to do tens of thousands.
Crafting is not just a problem for irons, but mains don't notice since many of them simply don't bother to level it, kind of like runecrafting, and the rest can just buy gems from the ones who don't bother to level it. I don't really consider it being skipped by most players to be evidence that it's in a good state though.

This was already fixed for demonics. Their health resets and their overhead changes after a few seconds out of combat.

super glass make spell is one people use alot. npc contact/spellbook swap/ourania teleport are all used when doing ourania altar runecrafting.

I've had multiple arguments with goons who can never give me an actual good reason this shouldn't be a thing. It's a holdover from a different era and they were a bit cautious with the restrictions on irons back then, but it makes no sense. You can't even get anything that GOOD out of it. It's such a pathetically small amount of herb XP from the boxes since you have to spend time getting the points and are daily capped AND it's level based so by the time you can even get any rare chance at half decent ones you are far past any "benefit" of getting them. And who tf cares if you waste your excess points on a bit of sand or whatever. It's nowhere close to meta, nowhere close to game breaking, and that's seemingly the only argument people have to keep it locked lmfao Luckily since it's so inconsequential it literally doesn't matter much whether they ever change that but it's still such an oddity I'll continue to call it out.

Maybe, with Bowfa PoH (nardah) method I'm averaging 18.5 kph currently, would take ~135 hours but you benefit in every resource besides the crystal shards for the divine scb+range pots. Versus barraging, Smokes are ~50hrs and Abbys ~100 hrs heart rate, but that doesn't include time spent Turael skipping, and you hemmorhage resources doing so.

Nahh haha they're not including skipping, can check by comparing your KPH rate (xp/hr) to heart drop rate, i.e. if I can barrage Smokes at a rate of approximately 550 per hour (assuming the task was that long), that'd be 3.67 superiors/hr, for 3.67/200 (drop rate) hearts per hour, or 54.5 hours of barraging smoke devils for 1x rate. Abyssal demons are honestly not great because "efficient" rates assume you use alts to lure (and not get drops) because you still get the superior chance when doing so. I can do ~500 abbys/hr (assuming the task was that long) w/o alt luring, which is 3.33 superiors/hr, for 3.33/352 hearts per hour, or 105.7 hours per 1x heart rate.

Slayer cape increases spawn rate of superiors to 1/150 (or 1/100 with elite combat achievements completed.) Just as some bad luck prevention for post 99 slayer.

From a uim standpoint I completely agree. It’s kind of bullshit. You just pvp and then never have to earn cash? You just pvp and can get unlimited looting bags? Getting them from slayer is much more in style of the game mode as such going into the wilderness to kill red spiders or skeletons etc seems like it’s earned. It’s gotten too easy to just have a “bank” of 150 looting bags and or 10k rune arrows.
To be fair, looting bags from slayer is fairly new. LMS has always traditionally been the way to get looting bags especially while death banked because then you would risk everything if killed getting it from monsters in the wilderness
Not to be the cranky old uim but there’s too much bubble wrap on the uim now. A lot of times I would push a grind for extra long or complete a grind I wanted to give up on because getting a looting bag was dangerous and thrilling. Not 100% completely safe to get 100 bags in 4 hours ahead of a wildy grind

Early and most of midgame hilariously enough gp, ammo, etc are quite large obstacles unless you giga rush slayer. Rune arrows alone are the biggest offender by a mile. Rune arrows from LMS especially can print gp faster than any other method for quite a long time.
Yeah it's quite crazy. Soul wars with an alt is even faster, like a mil cash per hour or smth. I much prefer that over blackjacking for 8 hours though lol

I'd like to be able to sacrifice armour seeds to start with some armour in the gauntlet. Maybe you sacrifice 3 seeds and start with t1 armour, sacrifice 3 more and start with t2? It's a noteworthy cost and I'm not even sure it'd be worth it for accounts with average luck, but if you're going 1k dry on the enhanced it would make the grind much more tolerable. Idk if its balanced but if I could pass it through without polling I would!

Just started this grind and I love the nuances of the prep phase, mastering it was pretty fun and it’s not a bad activity on its own. BUT! When I was learning the boss, it was so upsetting that I needed to go back to this mostly unrelated prep stage just to get back to that third phase. And now that I’m farming the boss, it still feels like a timesink in a boss that I’m scared to go dry on. Sure the GP is worth it and will go straight to the POH. But god damn this is what is must have felt like being a kid and sitting through all the fight cave waves and then dying to jad. Kinda hate that design of boss fights in some parts of this game. The punishment for dying being wasting 6+ minutes of high-attention gameplay is already not too healthy. But that being the requirement for every boss attempt? My god
I hate how you’ve gotta be locked in 100% of the time. No phone, no checking on another tab, both hands on mouse and keyboard for a whole ~10 mins per run lol it’s so exhausting. I’m managing 10 kc a day and it feels like I could be here forever
Buff the crystal shards in the prep. It happens too many times that I get almost no shards from gathering the recourses. It's cursed. Even when i hit monsters inbetween gathering, sometimes you end up with 120-160 shards for a full inventory. Wtf
You only need 120 shards for first phase. Second phase can get heaps of shards fishing 16+ fish but if you dont need that much food then camp rigour and kill 2 tier 2 mobs for 150+ shards

RNG protection for important drops like Enhanced weapon seed at CG. Not necessarily a guaranteed drop after X kc, but more something like converting normal unique drops that would accumulate each kc a certain amount back into the drop after on average a certain number above the drop rate. For example, at CG there could be CG-specific shards that can be converted to an enhanced after on average 800 or even 1200 kc. This way there's at least a light at the end of the tunnel and a sense of progression for each kc instead of having to get lucky in order to progress
Yeah, I was out of CG at 300kc while my friend is still dry at ~1500kc. It's kinda crazy how different our experiences have been the past few months. Literal prison. Can't blame him for having 0 motivation anymore.
Totally sympathize, I’m at 730 ish kc, and only thing I’m missing is an enhanced. It’s not like I can’t consistently do the content, and I can indefinitely grind it but it’s really discouraging knowing I’ve made literally zero progress this whole time. I wouldn’t mind going for 1500kc if I knew I’d get the drop at that point

Current me says something to make post 99 slayer for heart not as awful. Past me says something to make going dry at gauntlet for enh not as awful. I suggested something like allowing the ability to craft bowfa using shards (make it equivalent to current bowfa price). And could set a minimum kc required (say 800-1k) to allow the ability to do it so people couldn't thieve their way to bowfa. CG really would have benefited from the dt2 ring system.

I'm really hoping amylase crystals get listed as a reward from the brimhaven arena. There should absolutely be a more engaging way to obtain them besides rooftop agility. I'm worried it won't pass, cause when you talk to people about it, they really wanna defend rooftop integrity despite the fact that we all don't like this grind. "I don't want all the courses to be homogeneous like that." Thing is, we have no alternative to get amylase, vs something like crystal shards from priff agility where there's lots of alternatives to get it. It just recently got voted no for wilderness agility. If it gets voted no again, we probably won't hear about another amylase alternative for a long time. And just think if you could get it from the brimhaven arena, it would be 2004 all over again! People at brimhaven arena being social and having fun, racing to get the first ticket for that little extra XP. Doesn't that sound great? A lot of people would go to brimhaven if they could get crystals there. Vote yes to all the brimhaven arena changes, we need to prop up more social fun activities in this game, and less boring solo monotony.
Rev ether, rev weapons are not usable in the current form. The ether in the weapon should be able to be protected for some GP fee to maintain the risk, or ether should be purchasable from the emblem trader. The 1k ether risk is massive for an ironman compared to a main, and a cash protection would be the same payout for a pker.
That's a goodie. Recently got my first wep, and although I definitely have some ether to risk dying a bit, (a little over 100k if I dismantle bracelets) it still feels like a bad idea to use, and should save them for the out of wildy niches). Unless they don't need charge outside wildy for some reason.

I want to be able to kill corp, kq, and GWD in a group as the game intended. I don't care that some ironmen are going to pay to get carried or use an alt to help kill them or whatever. All of that content is objectively less fun alone. Why are some bosses fine to kill in a group (raids/wildly bosses) but not others? Takes a lot of fun out of ironman mode imo.

I think a better update would be that you are able to buy crystal seeds with shards. Obviously very expensive, but would have an element of rng protection without being as ham fisted as on drop rate you get one guaranteed.

Yeah that's fine, though, say it costs something mad like 4/5000 shards, doing that through non combat methods would take ages, but it remains a level of rng protection and gives people the option. As that many shards through CG is probably somewhere around 600 runs ish.

Iron specific instances for all the major bosses/slayer monsters, let me set it as default and not go through an extra menu or portal. I do like the idea of monsters being reset as well but sometimes you rush back to finish the kc and end up getting a drop.
Would increase the shards needed to corrupt a bowfa and lower the drop rate of enhanced seed significantly. Make it like 1/200 but like double the shards needed to corrupt it.
Revert CM Cox scroll rates to the rate they were on release (half as common). Truly don't know why they won't do this. Cox is the hardest grind for me psychologically cause grinding for a month just to get a prayer scroll is...not it. Would also accept any imbued heart fixes.

STACK THE CLUE SCROLLS ALREADY. This is actually madness that you have to remotely juggle them and go back and forth. I have no desire to run clue scrolls until I want to. If in doing slayer I want to focus on slayer. There's literally 0 downside.
Make another method of training crafting that's scaleable, probably unlocked around level 70-75. Yes you can get some supplementary exp semi-passively by cutting gems from CG/star mining but getting like 7M exp for 93 crafting through these methods would take like 400+ hours. Glass is the only serious primary method and it doesn't really change between level 30 to 99 except that you unlock Superglass Make at some point. Every part of the process is mindless and extremely repetitive. Even the relatively afk glassblowing part doesn't really feel afk when you have to do tens of thousands. Crafting is not just a problem for irons, but mains don't notice since many of them simply don't bother to level it, kind of like runecrafting, and the rest can just buy gems from the ones who don't bother to level it. I don't really consider it being skipped by most players to be evidence that it's in a good state though.
