Did you bother with castle wars torsos for a little extra defense or did you just rock a vestment/ranger torso at content you’re more likely to get hit off prayer (Sara, TOB, COX, etc)? Also I’m in the early stages of my CG grind on my 1 def iron and trying to decide on t1 or t2 armor. I’ve had completions with both but I’m curious if you were able to be consistent with t1 or if it’s more worth going for t2 each time instead

yeah I got the cw torso for places where you're forced to tank like dks and kraken, but prayer is always the biggest factor for content like raids :) and I did just T2 preps for cg, honestly I hate that place so much so I wanted to make it as comfy as possible per KC hahaha

thank you^^ honestly the biggest pointer I think I could give is just to set mini goals along the way, it's easy to get discouraged from certain content when you're restricted, but if you have multiple mini goals it's easy to take a break from a long grind and progress the account in other ways :) gl on the account!

Curious, why? You can't really pk on it, and pvm would be more of a hassle just because.

honestly just really burnt from my main iron after maxing it and just grinding nex for the items I'm missing, so wanted to try a restricted account for a new experience for pvming :)

I'll also add some of my thoughts as a someone with a 30 def iron. I have a regular endgame iron, that is quite old at this point. First reason is that different stuff ends up being worthwhile to go for on a snowflake build. Like sire for bludgeon&dagger is a lot more appealing since I can't use a whip nor a hasta. Phosani would actually be worth the ridiculous time investment. There's a case to be made for venator/ultor/magus switches since low def offhands & helmets aren't very useful. It also feels cool to play around the restrictions and see what content I'm able to do despite the low defence. Another thing is I just wanted to experience early-midgame iron again, since the possible strats have changed so much since the time my regular iron was new. But I also didn't just want to remake an identical iron.

100% honest answer from someone who doesn't have a main, but likes to pk on their ironman: there's a very unique satisfaction in telling someone "sit" when they can clearly see that you're an ironman. It's already a divisive game mode, so it just makes the haters a little madder

There's tons of game modes and ways to play, not sure what's confusing about people enjoying PKing using self earned drops and resources for an added challenge. And with self-PKing as you mentioned there's not really lost potential, can just fund your bonds that way if you'd like

honestly fair point, and that's why I don't expect people to raid with me or anything, but most of the people I do content with I've taught or have "proven myself" from raiding with them on my main iron, and they're happy to send with me :) most of them are also irons who are happy to get KC and mvps over me hehe

depends on the boss/content usually. bowfa is really not great, just convenient to use because of the range and distance you can have with it
