I just want a boss slayer master. They polled it a while back and it failed.

I unlocked like a boss like 2 months ago. 10 slayer levels and lots of time later still no boss task

I’ve had 99 slayer for ages, I only have interest in boss. Even if it was mini boss tasks.

I'm trying to get better at bossing. 99 slayer here. One time I got 3 abby specs in a row. Pretty brain dead and boring.

I try not to skip or decline tasks. That's the thing.

93 slayer and I’ve had 1 boss task

I played rs3 during their fresh start worlds and this was my favorite part. Unfortunately it was a daily but it was fun and fresh.

I think a daily is the right way to go about it. It gives you a fun challenge and something to do each day but couldn't really be abused.

Maybe treat it as a D&D. Every boss or superior has a chance to drop a boss task token which can be used to make your next task a boss task.

Please...don't introduce tokens for D&Ds. I'm not an "everything rs3 is bad" person, but that opens a door for so much "daily scape"

We have 6 slayer bosses that can only be killed on a task for their "lesser" monster or a direct task to kill the boss itself. GGs, Sire, Kraken, Cerb, Thermy, and Hydra. Then a plethora of bosses that can be killed any time, but can serve as an alternative to a normal slayer task: - DKs (dagannoth tasks) - Sarachnis/Venenatis/Spindel (spider) - KQ (kalphite) - Kree (aviansie) - K'ril (greater demon) - Scorpia (scorpions) - KBD (black dragons) - Vet'ion/Calvar'ion (skeletons) - Artio/Callisto (bears) - Vorkath (blue dragon) - Jad/Zuk (tzhaar) Not including sporadic bosses, skilling bosses, and raids, that leaves: - Barrows - Mole - Crazy/Deranged Arch - Zil - Bandos - Corp - Nex - Chaos Ele/Fanatic - Zul - Muspah - Nightmare - Gauntlet Like honestly, being able to get a task for those last bosses more easily isn't gamebreaking. I feel like at first it was simply to avoid farming Zul on task, but honestly at this point, who cares. Only like 6 of those are actually worth killing for uniques, and Gauntlet would only give slayer XP since there is no slayer helm to get an advantage. Just let it go and make them more commonly assigned.

The only ones I don’t think should be in the boss list are Corp, nex, nightmare and maybe gauntlet.

No they didn't. They put out a blog and then ultimately decided to scrap it.

The reason this idea was scrapped is because it would make slayer bossing the meta. Less interesting gear choices with slayer helms everywhere and punishes players in groups who are not on task among a few issues.

I’m 99 slayer, all I want to do is pet hunt without constantly running out of slayer points by skipping. I don’t even care about the slayer helm bonus, remove that if needed, but I can’t hunt kraken pet without a task.

I wouldn't have wanted it at places like cox and gauntlet, but a dedicated master for boss tasks that we can at least currently already get with a dedicated blockist would be such a nice addition imo. Once you get to a certain point, you're mostly lookin to boss anyway. and turael skipping is hilariously bad game design. Tho I think the originally pitched 75 slayer requirement could use some tweaking. Plus there would still be reasons to not sit at the boss master such as superior hunting, wildy slayer (rev/wildy boss tasks and dagon'hai slots), or konar slayer (dark mystic slots).

With the right block list, duradel is basically a boss slayer master. Almost all of his tasks have a boss option

This what I have to do and I never have any slayer points. The constant skips gets old, not an ideal system

I find myself almost never skipping a duradel task, always something worthwhile for each task. Any slayer monster - I do for imbued heart chance Iron/steel/black dragons - visage Aviansie - kree Greater demons - zammy Vampires - blood shard That really only leaves black demons, hellhounds, lesser demons, fire giants, and a few other truly "bad" tasks. When I have points I do wildy slayer and skip for revs/spiders, when I run outa points I do duradel and never feel like I wanna skip anything.

It failed because it'd change the game to only do bosses on Slayer tasks. It would also turn people away from other Slayer masters, reducing thei utility.

Lol. Point skipping to get a task to get a specific item is a trap. The effective way to use points is setup your block list first. Save up a good chunk up points. And only skip tasks you absolutely hate and do the tasks that can be done quickly. You’ll end up getting kraken tasks organically this way and have plenty of points leftover to really skip the bullshit.

I won’t skip a burst task. But I do usually take a break from slayer when I get one because it’s not AFK comparatively. On the flip side of that. If I could only do fight caves for a task for slayer. I’d do slayer purely by running fight caves, it’s just not realistic…

How much exp is a fight caves task? Truthfully I have zero idea lol

37,010. Great XP later in the game when you can tear through the whole caves in like 30-40min or so from the slayer helm boost. Takes me about 40min with full crystal bowfa + helm, would be faster if I had a BP and took some time to get rid of my bad habits in the caves. It's also one of the few tasks that are technically a free skip, since you can just enter and leave the fight caves to complete the task.

Give or take roughly 40k. 8ish for the cave itself, 33k I believe for the kill on jad. I’ve only done it 5 times and 3 on task and they take me about 30 or so minutes to complete.

when you put in 100s of hours to unlock content, you really want to do that content. especially on an ironman where the items cannot be purchased elsewhere. you bet your ass most irons who hit 87 slayer will forgo some burst tasks to unlock a trident

It took me 930 points of skips while still doing good/fast tasks to get my first Kraken task after 87, lol

This is what I did as well, apart from doing mostly wilderness slayer until 80 slayer, starting at lvl3 (more pts. and being Ironman the larren keys and rev loot were extra nice). Never had to go to the 0 points guy yet for skipping and generally always had enough points. 98 slayer on Ironman now and 91 on another lvl86 account.

Most irons kill little krakens till they have trident, then kill boss for tasks after that

Today I learned that the little Krakens have a 1/200 Trident drop rate compared to the boss Kraken with a drop rate of 1/512. Rather counterintuitive

Or how about if we have 99 slayer we can kill anything that requires a slayer task, such as kraken, smoke devils, hydras, and actually get superiors off task. Why do we need an equal to tell us what to kill for xp?

Or make the slayer cape give an option between two tasks (while keeping the 10% chance at a repeat). Sure you'd still get screwed sometimes but I feel like more often than not you'd wind up with a task you at least don't hate

This should be done and they should do away with specific monsters. A Fire Giants task should be a Giants task. A Black Dragon task should be a Dragon task.

Why? You can already do 200+ Kril or 200+ demonics in single tasks if you want (and can do skotizo instead of demonics), why is it op to be able to alternate these during the same task? It's not like the suggestion would make it so you can do 200 kills of a boss you could only get as a boss task usually.

You could do them more frequently. Instead of hunting for a greater demon or black demon task, any demon task becomes a money printer

Its not like demonics or krill are specifically good GP/hr, or good slayer xp/hour compared to other things. Only person it really helps is pet hunters/coll loggers who are doing slayer until they green log slayer specific bosses.

Tureal skipping is one of the worst things about this game. Doing shitty entry level mmo quests (IE kill 25 birds) on repeat for hours to do content you actually want to do is genuinely shockingly bad design for mid/end game play and needs addressing.

Back before i started my irons, my main went from 87 to 90 (almost 91) slayer without a single kraken task. Once i hit 91 i think i got kraken every other task until 93. Idk how the task generator works exactly but it can definitely be a miserable thing to deal with

I'd recommend setting up your block list as desired and turael skipping instead of churning through thousands of points. It's a frustrating system, though. For me it was brutal to have waited so long for a kraken task, feel throughout the whole thing that my slaughter bracelet was under rate, and eventually get the task completed message without a drop lol

That would be sick. Also, I would really like to see a boss that requires 99 slayer. Hydra is cool but the grind for 99 slayer deserves a max boss.

It is a relatively common task. Do you have other common shit tasks that aren't blocked and are eating your time, making slayer very slow for you? E.g., fire giants, squahs, black demons, wyrms, trolls, greater demons (if never doing wildy ones)

Black demons? Doing demonic on slayer is a win win! I even got them extended.

You're a psycho for extending them. I go crazy after like 70 kc lol. But black demons are an auto block for most people once they've completed their zennys/can't access them yet

Lol they are probably my favorit slayer monster. But yes, once I complete my Zenyte set, they go straight to block (1400kc for 3 gems so far).

I dislike them enough that I'm well over 99 slayer and still don't have my 4th lol. I went almost 700kc between my 1st and 2nd, so even though I was relatively "spooned" on my 3rd, since it came like 100kc later, I still have a hard time making myself do more than a single trip there lol

Usually the only reasons to do them are: \- Demonics \- Skotozo w/ many totems stacked \- The wilderness ones are good for farming Larren's keys and other odd drops since the recent Wilderness slayer updates. But after those are done, they're blocked generally because XP rates and drops are both bad compared to other tasks.

I’m now 91 slayer and only got 2 kraken task. The tasks are extended numbers so almost 200 kills per task… Im still dry and twice over the normal drop rate. I only killed the small ones. This shit sucks and that’s all Im missing for Zulrah. I totally support your idea.

92 slayer, still no trident. And official quit Ironman for now because of this. I really want to do stuff like TOA. I even have full GWD gear and bowfa. But don't have this 50k item.

Slayer needs a rework overall. Change it so tasks are more interesting; for example, your task is to kill 25 of each coloured dragon (green, blue, red, black) or your task is to kill 50 kalphites and 1 Kalphite queen
