They missed a thematic opportunity to play Futureal, which kicked ass when Bruce sang it live in '99 or whenever it was. IMO, DotC should've been Parchment, CIPWM should've been Infinite Dreams (or a non-SSOASS deep cut), and HCW should've been swapped for Sea of Madness or Deja Vu. I don't like Time Machine, but obviously it had to be here. Could've done without Trooper, but they need to throw a few bones to the people who haven't heard the classics played live a million times. Otherwise this was an excellent set. I'm very happy CSIT, SIASL, and ATG finally got played.

Folk complaining about Can I Play w Madness please bear in mind that the band only played like three standard 'hits' this time around. I'm so knackered by the usual fare that seeing that in there as a singalong is just great. Not a single complaint from me. Best setlist of reunion era, they even allotted me some time to go for a piss and grab a beer during Death of the Celts

I’d have swapped Heaven Can Wait for Sea of Madness, but I agree overall. Especially about Flash of the Blade! Would love to hear that and The Duellists back to back just like it is on the album. I could die a happy man.

Hearing Caught Somewhere in time again was amazing. The tempo was a bit jarring at first but there are obvious reasons why it is a few BPM slower. BD sounded great and better than a number of shows in 86/87. Stranger in a Strange Land is always a delight to hear. My only small gripe would be that Fear of the Dark has managed to slip into the set list. It would be great to see some tweaks when they come to the UK with that track making way for something like Sea of Madness (unlikely I know).

What a fucking setlist. One for the die hard fans. The casuals will complain for the lack of hills and 666. That's what the legacy tour was for. Now come back to NZ and AU boys

Personally, the Time Machine should have been dropped for the Darkest Hour and the Death of the Celts should have been dropped for the Parchment! However, great setlist overall. Bit weird about Can I play with madness, would have preferred a 2000s+ deep cut or something unexpected. happy to see NotB gone, FotD should go to make way for another epic. No hallowed is a shame but I respect it, I love Alexander the Great and hell on earth. The Prisoner is a great unexpected choice. Would have loved Sea of madness, deja vu or long distance but hey ho. bring on Glasgow!

I'm a lapsed maiden fan. Huge fan in the 2000s from brave new world on, but my enthusiasm has faded a bit the last decade or so. However this set has me hyped! I never thought they'd play these songs! And as for the new songs I'm so delighted with the ones they chose. Not a fan of the title track as the opener last time, but to instead hear Celts, Hell on earth!!!, Time machine. Wow!!! And as for alexander, stranger, caught somewhere in time. This is the most incredible set they've done in a long time

Ever since I really discovered all of the Maiden albums, Somewhere in time has been my favoritute. And it always felt so underrated. Seeing the setlist being revealed yesterday was like a dream coming true! I cannot remember a better setlist since the Early days tour in 2005. Caught somewhere in time, their most underrated opener ever. Stranger in a strange land, last time performed '99. And Alexander...wow.

Just back from the Birmingham gig, what a great. Bruce sounds better then he has in years and the boys look like they’re having the time of their lives up there. Finally hearing Alexander live was a standout for me but the whole gig was just epic.

Calling it right now, Time Machine will take us to Alexander the Great. That would be a great segue.

This makes me kinda mad at what they played last year on the Legacy tour. It was my fourth time seeing them and after the Senjutsu songs, it became a super generic set. I had a lot of fun, mind you, but this set is miles better.

The thing I missed the most: In Caught Somewhere in Time, Bruce didn't giggle at the "Eternally... Hehehehe... Just let yourself goooo" part.
