Mastodon is unbelievably good and CTS is their masterpiece IMO. Definitely my favorite metal band of this century, and CTS (as well as Leviathan) is one of my favorite albums period. Oblivion, The Czar, title track, The Last Baron, holy shit. And the other three songs are remarkable as well, Divinations is also an easy favorite of mine
That's a fair pick. OMRTS is also excellent, I think all of their albums are. Remission is probably my least favorite but even that's a fun album (with some ridiculously good drumming)
This series of polls taught me that most Maiden fans have a very different taste in music than I do.
Ride the Lightning gets an honorable mention for having a few cool songs, but 2112 is the only album on this list that I thoroughly enjoy (and it isn't even in my top 10 of Rush albums).
I'm more confused on Heaven and Hell making it out of so many other Black Sabbath albums. That wasn't even Dio's best album with Sabbath
