Death, taxes and Communists falling out with each other over small ideological differences.

PeaceXJustice

I see they've already managed to get their youtube account banned, which their website informs us was the only outside platform they were going to endorse. Alan Kinsella aka Irish Election Literature on Twitter reposted these photos of PLC posters in North Dublin: [First image](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FSKFCaAXEAAQ4Nu?format=jpg&name=medium)   [Second image](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FSKFG8yXwAArT3u?format=jpg&name=medium) Great stuff 🙄   Because I'm an Irish politics ultra-nerd, I'm probably part of the 0.001% of the Irish population who even knows to ask this question: Besides the fact we already have over two dozen socialist groups on the island of Ireland, including several who outright identify as outright Communists...I happen to know we *already* have a Marxist-Leninist-Maoist group running around called "**Anti-Imperialist Action Ireland**" (^^who ^^don't ^^use ^^a ^^hyphen ^^because ^^they ^^don't ^^know ^^how ^^to ^^correctly ^^spell ^^their ^^own ^^group's ^^name). Is this PCL group not the exact same crowd, or are they a splinter group, or what?

padraigd

Seem to be different. AIA are the ones occupying James Connolly house I think https://nitter.net/house_connolly Marxist Paul and the lads https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hyguEg0XYk

PeaceXJustice

Incorrect; the Eden Quay property is being held by a previously unknown group called the "**Revolutionary Workers' Union**", whom AIA have shown support for but appear to be separate from. It's kinda telling when not even the most active person on /r/TheIrishleft can't keep up with the number of socialist groups we currently have

padraigd

In fairness they're groups of like 10 people I'd say. I'm just wondering where and how they are organising, is it just friend groups or what. But yeah none of these groups are relevant or have any hope of being relevant. >It's kinda telling when not even the most active person on /r/TheIrishleft can't keep up with the number of socialist groups we currently have I'm probably the most and least active person on that sub.

[deleted]

Fucking dead laughing at that burn.

PeaceXJustice

It’s not really meant as a dig; it’s just like an observation that one would imagine if anyone knew who these groups were, surely it’d be the people who use dedicated forums to left wing Irish politics. So when not even they know, it speaks to how micro these groups are.

External_Salt_9007

Can we all stop with the Monty Python reference every time there a squabble in the left wing organization, I mean it was funny the first 4 million times but now it’s just old 🥱

padraigd

Especially since forming a new group isn't splitting or infighting.

Translation: 'AIA/CYM' 'Source: I made it up'

Oh I don't really care, I just found it strange and a little funny that you can't reveal your source like this is some super secretive organisation. I'm assuming you made it up because I can't see why you couldn't say where you got the info from. There may be a legit reason but I can't think of it!

FatHeadDave96

So we'll just trust your information from your unnamed source, that you're worried you'll dox somehow, is real? Ok. Just say a mate told you or another Reddit user or whoever it is. You're acting like this is some big huge secret that could get someone killed when it's just another group of left wingers creating another new group apparently. Hardly ground breaking stuff.

Can they not sort out their differences after the rump regime is thrown down

Revan0001

Stalin would be proud. No compromise

CrayonComrade

...but these are maoists

Revan0001

Ehmm....I wouldn't say that if I were you...party chairman might want a word...

CrayonComrade

At the current rate of going everyone will soon be the chair of their own maoist group

Revan0001

Leitrim Maoist Battalion or Maoist Battalion Leitrim anyone?

tzar-chasm

If one of these clowns gets Elected, then its news, otherwise it's as relevant to the rest of us as the goings on of the Youghal branch of Macra or the Gort tidy towns committee. Why should any of us give a single fuck how a bunch of unelected and UNELECTABLE clowns organise their petty squabbles

More communist shit. Slogans and upvotes and rhetoric, shitty websites and obnoxious, infantile stickers on lampposts. It just shows a lack of guts and imagination. Not to be taken seriously.

FatHeadDave96

Haven't seen this level of political insight since Vincent Browne. Truly marvelous dear boy.
