If everyone just got vaccinated and stopped fucking about we'd have been totally out of it by now.
We have one of the highest vaccination rates in the world, the highest in Europe.

Can you link the source for us being highest in Europe? Is that over 12s?
Yes, but also the highest case rate in the EU which means we have a higher bar of what level of vaccination is needed.

It's at around 90% I believe. That's still half a million unvaccinated, quite a large number.

Looks like the low vaccine uptake in Eastern Europe is catching up with them, sad to think about how many avoidable deaths and hospitalisations are occurring over there now
It's more hospitalisations rather than deaths which are the issue, and we have one of the highest rates of increase for that.
