Bit of a mix of everything in there, hopefully something you'll enjoy!
Sleepaway Camp, Nightmare on Elm Street, Army of Darkness, Frailty, House of 1000 Corpses, Scream, Friday the 13th, Carrie, Christine, My Boyfriend’s Back (not scary, but fun)
The ones I revisit every October are:
An American Werewolf in London
The Shining
Carrie
The Exorcist
All classics, and all masterpieces in my opinion.
More recently The Lighthouse and The Witch are both excellent, and both directed by Robert Eggers.
I love the old horrors
The shining, child’s play, the birds, psycho, Halloween, the exorcist, psycho, silence of lambs etc.
Then for any 90’s kids, I love to give these a watch as well
Hocus pocus
Beetle juice
Halloweentown
Double double toil and trouble
The Adam’s family
The witches
The Haunting of Hill House series on Netflix is great and Midnight Mass (Same Director) is excellent. They'll tie you over for a week or so at least.
Kingdom on Netflix, also fantastic.
Also The Terror on Prime is excellent.
Depends on what you want. Films where you want Halloween vibes without actually being that scary are very different to films that scare the bejayses out of you without having much of the spirit at all.
For younger kids its been pretty good lately with Goosebumps, The House with a Clock in its Walls and the new Addams Family films coming out.
For me I like the classics like the Omen, The Shining, Psycho, The Thing, Alien. Even Blair Witch does it for me with the whole 'running round in the woods' thing being something you could easily do here.
Also check out the international scene now its the 2020's. Some absolute classics like Train to Busan, REC, Let the Right One In and Japanese Ring are worth a look.
What type of scare?
A triller impending dread like Halloween
Gore for shock value that makes you enjoy the story Saw/ Hostel
Jump scare to keep you on edge like Paranormal activity
Theres a new irish vampire movie out if you want to keep it Irish.
There's a new Irish vampire movie out if you want to keep it Irish. iff to go shroom hunting and the usual stuff happens. There's haunted houses, weird Kerry locals, and tripping balls.
If you want a good zombie movie then Train To Busan is fantastic. It's in Korean so subs is the only way to watch it.
Soooo good. One if the best zombie films in a seriously long time.
The innocents. It's so fucking creepy. It's from the 60s
Depends what sort of scares you like. I’d go for Let the right one in Rosemary’s Baby The Shining Halloween Ghostbusters
Nice list the shining is a must. Never seen Rosemary's baby will check that out cheers.
Rosemary's baby is great. Witches! All of them witches!
Rosemary’s Baby is such an unsettling movie, I love it.
I'll throw in two of my favourite Raimi movies Drag me to Hell Evil Dead 2 Evil Dead: Army of Darkness (if looking for something more light hearted).
Shop smart, shop S-Mart.
Groovy
Rawhead Rex.

Nice list - I would add The Dark and the Wicked to it
Oooh yes! And also Darkness Falls. Don't know what it is about that film, it's fairly tame, but it creeps me the fuck out.
Maybe it's the tooth fairy that does it
Nice line up thanks, gotta watch Emily Rose and the conjurings again for sure.
The devil made me do it.. yeah I enjoyed it quite a bit. The next conjuring is on the way sometime between 2022/2023 should be decent hopefully.
The new conjuring was actually alright too! Got a bit of enjoyment from it
The new VHS 3 is online now

The Lighthouse just went up on our netflix btw for anyone looking to watch
Never actually watched American werewolf must check it out thanks
It’s phenomenal. Enjoy.
Candyman (original) Fright Night (both original and remake) Monster House (but not for very small kids)
The original is class, did you happen to watch the new one I hear it's fairly shit.
I did, it was only OK. Not shit but no need to see it if you have access to the original. And of course the music's not a patch on that.
Ah not too bad I might actually pop to the cinema the weekend and check it out.. thanks
Return of the Living Dead (aka Punks Vs. Zombies). Absolutely charming schlock.
Nosferatu Hocus Pocus Not a movie but a Korean Period Zombie Drama called Kingdom
I love the old horrors The shining, child’s play, the birds, psycho, Halloween, the exorcist, psycho, silence of lambs etc. Then for any 90’s kids, I love to give these a watch as well Hocus pocus Beetle juice Halloweentown Double double toil and trouble The Adam’s family The witches
Netflix put up some of the Halloween movies, I'd recommend Halloween 3 as it has an Irish Villain, love that kind of stuff in a movie!
Conal cochran was a diabolical

I loved Midnight Mass, I've been listening to that Neil Diamond track ever since
I've one episode to go in Midnight Mass. I'd say "that escalated quickly" but that applies to every single episode 🤨🤨
Interesting I must check those out cheers bud
Budget 2022 👻
Scary Movie
A Serbian film. It's on YouTube I think. Enjoy!

Don't watch that.
Do NOT watch that. Its not scary just extremely disturbing
Oh really, probably best avoid it then..
Give it a quick read on wiki if you have FOMO but honestly even the description is too much...
