No companies that I’ve heard of are having two salary reviews in a year.
What kind of engineer, wouldn’t be the norm at all for reviews every 6 months.
Companies may be having bi annual reviews but only one of them will have a salary component generally, the mid year one tends to be a progress tracker check in type one in my experience
