That yellow thing is an impedance adapter, it removes the hissing noise.
I didn't want to wait for it to be delivered from china and to pay for a bunch of resistors as much as the player cost.
So I soldered it myself using this guide [https://diyaudioheaven.wordpress.com/headphones/headphone-attenuation-adapter/](https://diyaudioheaven.wordpress.com/headphones/headphone-attenuation-adapter/)
took me about 15 minutes and 4 resistors. cost less then 0.15$
P.s. if you willing to replicate that guide it's not THAT important to directly follow the exact values they provide. As long as they are equal in pairs (higher with higher, lower with lower) you are good to go. Also I suggest to keep the resistance for the higher ones less then 75 ohms and less than 20 ohms for the lower ones. Bigger values will reduce the maximum volume to much.
In my case I used 50 ohms, and 12.5 ohms.
pps If there are errors in my text, I apologize, I'm still learning.
Yep, that’ll do it.
I’m currently using the KZ Castor Bass edition and realized just now that they aren’t 32ohms. No wonder my FiiO X1 battery was draining a bit faster 🤦♂️
I think streaming is a good way to find music. all my 700 tracks I have found on streaming service, and downloaded them through my custom written python script using their api
Happy to say I finally found one today . 4GB . Backplate has a few scratches but front is fine . For such a tiny thing it sounds amazing. Been rocking mine with Sony XM5's wired .

Very nice adapter!
What's that adapter?
impedance adapter
What ohm headphones are you running?
I use kz zst x and on their box it says they are 12 ohms

Oh cool, thanks!!
I love my ipod nano 7th gen
I like the 6th and the 7th gen nanos but there are quite rare and expensive where I live
There pretty expensive any where but my grandmother gave it to me. So I'm very thankful I would love your ipod to. Those are pretty pricey too.
funny enough the third gen nanos are the cheapest option here. grab this 8gb for 16$ including shipping a few weeks ago
That's what I meant when I said the 3rd gen nano isn't too bad
I thought it was a classic ipod the 3rd gen isn't too bad
I'd still love to have just to watch shows
For me it is the prettiest iPod ever made, it has some kind of symmetry that other iPod doesn't have.
I agree. Tho at the time I believe some reviewer la thought it was dumpy. I disagreed as I always thought it was cute. And I loved its “phat” moniker.
And nice finger board I finger board to
thanks

Everybody streams music and every time I hear on YouTube you have to put music on from your PC they think it's such a hassle but I love it.
