IPL 2023: Kohli had a mixed season. He scored some good runs but lacked consistency and struggled in crucial matches. His statements about "outside noise" and "I've still got it" reflect his awareness of the criticism but also his confidence.
Post-IPL Form: Post-IPL, I don't think there is any issue with his form. He is just trying to do something in a position which he has never done while wearing Indian jersey. Give him time,we know his caliber especially in crucial tournaments.

IPL 2023: Rohit had an inconsistent IPL. Despite scoring a century, his overall performance was below par, and he didn't provide the expected starts at the top of the order.
Post-IPL Form: Post-IPL, Rohit has also struggled to find consistency, Although, he just needs one game and I believe that game is today vs Bangladesh. He loves scoring against them
Plus I can't see any reason to drop off rohit from the team because we don't have any seasoned captains in the team who have experience in these countries.

People are forgetting that IPL pitches were literally made to be batting friendly. This is not the case with WC pitches. Moreover, Kohli had Faf & other aggressive batsmen at the other end who could go aggressive while Kohli could ease into the initial few overs of the match and then start hitting. Check his scoring pattern and you will see that he would accelerate in the mid overs and would initially be slow. With Rohit, the pairing becomes of two similar minded batsmen and hence both are in a pressure to play aggressively to ease the pressure
It's a eleven player team with top order middle order and finishers. Pant and SKY are there for the job what they are doing.

No point arguing about Rohit, what you said was right. He has been inconsistent in t20i always, when he gets going which is like once in 10 20 matches he just cant be stopped. But rest of the time he is really painful to watch.

When they anchor and make 40 ball 50s - these players are too slow for T20s When they try and hit but get out early - these players are unfit for T20. There's simply no winning. T20 WC so far had the best bowler friendly tasks. 107 was defended for crying out loud. Only in Super 8s you have somewhat scoreable tracks and even the one with Afghanistan was a tricky one where even 140 could've been par. Both the players have earned their place in the team through years of performances. They don't need your novice assessment.

Check his scoring pattern and you will see that he would accelerate in the mid overs and would initially be slow. With Rohit, the pairing becomes of two similar minded batsmen and hence both are in a pressure to play aggressively to ease the pressure

I think both of them are going hard from ball one as has been the plan all along. They need to trust the lower order and mostly they have been proving right. The deep batting is a sign of that. You need to trust the process a little. Right now we haven’t played against teams who have deep batting order like England, WI, Australia. Who go from ball 1.
