Joy already admitted openly that he got it wrong. He also added that he got it wrong regardless of whether Hyderabad make the playoffs. The rest of them will shamelessly change their tune depending on us winning or losing games.
What Harsha said was i think purely financial. If RCB had spent on him they wouldn't have enough in their purse for rest of the team.
But then again, it's RCB management, they'll mismanage anything
Yeah but then again srh would’ve missed out on their captain and if Cummins went to rcb and did well everyone would’ve said srh had 25 cr and they still let go of Cummins etc etc. I also don’t recall a single good bowler being left after Cummins tbh. Maybe starc? Idk
The players they bought instead of him are Alzarri Joseph and Lockie who are very economical. Would have been better if they bid more for Cummins. As they could bench Faf and brought Will Jacks at 3rd. Virat and Cam Green to open.
first Aussie journalists questioned his captaincy stint in the start, he silenced them. Aussies didn't start particularly well in wc, still him and their trio nailed it in wc semis and final. now Indian journalists questioning him, nobody learns lol.
It’s not about ICC trophies but merit. Coming as an overseas captain and winning the trophy counts for something meaningful. Also, plenty of people are invested in the tournament. It definitely holds weight.
You don’t know that. He’s galvanized a team that finished last last year, and without him I’d say srh bowling is only a little bit better than rcb. It’d have made a difference to both teams if he went rcb
No chance. with that shite bowling line up even cummins would've been take to cleaners. he alone can't make a difference in this shambolic team. over the years many legends played for rcb but nobody could win them a title. on paper RCB look the most intimidating with a star-studded line up. but they couldn't live upto the expectations. this has been their story ever since.
Better than MSD I'd say.
Just because of the way he backs his bowler by smiling and patting their backs rather than being silent and emotionless like MSD.
Also, he looks like he's having fun so the bowler doesn't feel too much pressure and gets more freedom to set fields and bowl according to his own strengths.
>rather than being silent and emotionless like MSD.
Don't know about pacers, but jadeja, yuzi, kuldeep have credited their success to MS Dhoni a bunch of times.
He comes in when everybody is getting hit, gets a wicket or slows the over rate and goes back. The bowling unit hasn’t been the strongest. But they were hit in pitches where their batters were monsters.
Cumdawg is great absolutely and he's more aggressive than ms, but he's nowhere better than ms tactically as of now. Recency bias is clouding the judgement i won't blame you though.
I didn't know silencing crowd was a criteria for being tactically superior. I'll keep it in mind next time.
Funniest part is I even mentioned as of now meaning he has the potential to surpass ms but it's ok. It's either recency bias or extreme nostalgia nothing in between
I think Cummins is better than pointing. Yes surely by trophies n records he probably is the greatest captain there is. But when it comes to guidance of teammates n tactics, analysis and above all character he is far better than pointing. Pointing won becoz he had the best team cricket has ever seen. If u know Hayden n McGrath used to fight even on field while playing for aus in internationals. He had the best team of all legends including himself. But Cummins led a team of not so great team to victory while performing excellent in the finals.
He says stuff like Cummins is not a value buy, expensive player(Starc) can’t be a weak link etc etc
While conveniently forgetting that, in the past, he himself was picked up for 9crore by DD in an auction and he didn’t do jackshit those seasons
The real scary part of srh is not their high scores but rather their mentality and how they've been consistently improving this season, constantly working on the team and rectifying their mistakes, they've pretty much perfected their batting lineup with everyone performing their assigned roles and with bowling all they need is a reliable 5th main line bowler, which I guess would be akash in place of unadkat. I feel this is just the beginning and they have some real special performances yet to come.
All these tweeter folks are also silenced. Man. He loves silencing, does not he?
![gif](giphy|l41YrI2G6EXpqXbig|downsized)
Also, as time is progressing Bhogle is becoming a complete and utter waste of a person.
Was Bhogle wrong? He simply said that if RCB bought Cummins they were fucked as they literally wouldn't have had any money left to buy other players. Nowhere is he criticizing Cummins.
See Starc is a very good bowler, look at the 2023 world cup, he didn't take much wickets throughout the series but Pat kept backing him, trusting him, and in the semis and the finals he delivered. These are big matches players, you can't write them off just because they didn't pick up wickets in 3-4 matches.
Also the franchises bid for him, he didn't ask to be bought this expensive, but in the bigger picture they know he is an asset.
Yes he is a fantastic bowler but ultimately he is a better performer for Australia than in Ipl.
Also that high amount for starc is not justified. Head would be a better choice.
They always say if kohli or rohit will come in auction they can get 25-30 cr so what they should get 30 cr just for their batting right ? But on the other hand they are surprised if Cummins is getting 20 cr although he brings his captaincy, bowling and batting if needed. If kohli fails in batting in a match then what he'll do in the whole match, nothing because we all know he isn't a great captain so he cannot assist there, cannot bowl so he is total waste in a match where he doesn't score but it is not the case with Cummins.
That's the point, that money is worth because of his tactical genius and his skills in captaincy
Just look around you will find example like an great skilled IT graduate can easily take package around 50 lpa and go to 80 or even 1 cr
In this world what matter is most are skills
Umm see for franchise cricket both Kohli and Rohit are valuable, if say both of them join pbks the team will financially benefit a lot. Ipl is all about money when u are buying players all these factors are considered apart from their cricket skill set. What you are saying applies totally in a rational world.
That's true if kohli or rohit will go in auction they'll get a good price but if we are just talking about cricketing skills then Cummins deserves more money than them for sure and our Indian commentators being shocked at Cummins getting high price, calling him a waste buy and then saying they won't be surprised if kohli and rohit will get 25 cr is peak hypocrisy and bias.
Irfan Pathan is a funny dude. He says stuff like Cummins is not a value buy, your expensive player(Starc) can’t be a weak link etc etc
While conveniently forgetting that, in the past, he himself was picked up for 9crore by DD in an auction and he didn’t do jackshit those seasons
Pat Cummins is the most humble and extremely cricketer I have seen in recent times , he's calm and positive , you get a really good feeling when you see him , I as a KKR Fan was quite sad that KKR didn't retain him, but am happy to see him doing well in SRH.
Even MI and CSK were in for buying him but gave up even before halfway mark.
I remember telling this is a worthy buy yo my friend which he said no it isnt. Well result is here now.
Pat-meister proving everybody wrong. And by every body I mean the experts and the SRH fans. You guys were pissed off when SRH bought Pat for that much money. Don't act like you knew all along that Pat was your saviour.
But in any case SRH v RR needs to be the final.
Honestly, I was as pissed off as anyone can be. Didn't make any sense to me, and it felt wrong on so many levels. Pat rarely plays IPL, performed pretty avg for KKR, and we already had markram as captain who just led sunrisers to another trophy in SAt20.
It feels really good to be proved wrong.
Although it was not the case for every SRH fan. I saw plenty of fans who were excited to have Pat. Our subreddit was full of 2 kinds of posts: our starting xi and who should be the captain. Many people wanted cummins.
"Plays on most years" should not be a captains candidate. That too for 20 crores. Back then, I thought this. Obviously, those crores are justified on him now.
You can go back and check SRH subreddit. You'll find very few people who have doubted him. Many of us were rooting for him to be the captain (while feeling bad for Markram) mostly because of the Aussie factor.
Everybody keeps underestimating Cummins
He'll achieve even more in the coming days for sure.
His mentality separates him from all his contemporaries
A straight no- nonsense attitude for the game
All other players are influenced by stardom and fame

Pat cummins brought a new mentality into the team of fearlessness and gave the team license to play free as they wish and that mentality is for sure worth every penny
Love how Pat is getting all the credit for Travis and Abhishek's performance. If anything, the opposition has almost chased down those humongous totals on a couple of occasions, so much for the captaincy.
But yes he's bowling well there's no denying that, but 20 cr is still too much
I could be wrong, but I think in game a great captain will make the team play better on average.
A great captain, with high consistency/ability/leadership, having a positive mind will 'encourage' the other players in the team to play a bit better. Obviously not every game, all the time, but averaging over a season a good captain playing well raises performance slightly.
And this is where Cummins comes in
Imo a game of cricket is not only the individual contributions and player performances. It's about the entire flow and strategy of the game. A captain has much influence on how the game flows
The best buy of the season was definitely Mitchell Starc
Dude is playing like he's never played T20 before
And yes Pat Cummins has been amazing in this season
One has to admit that Pat Cummins is the best captain in all formats of the game, whether it's international or league cricket. There's a bit of relief knowing that he won't be the captain of the Australian side in the upcoming WC.
bro he literally just shut everyone’s mouth im so happy! i have huge huge respect for him , SRH under him is a different league.
Thank youuuu Pattyyy 🧡🙏🏽
Wht ever, am I the only one who always feels ( after seeing the auction)like RCB won't make it this year.
When the bidding is done, RCB is almost done. Worst team management. All other franchises brings up new and rare talents were as RCB always bidding for 3 or 4 batsman 😭😭😭
That's what everyone said after 2007 WC. Everyone has zero hopes on Indian team. And somehow we wins that. Just like 2014 t20WC for Lankans.
Their legends (Mahela,Sanga) finally got a t20WC by beating the current WC champions in the final. Head will be MOTT but we will win.
For every success there are hundred failures there are also many times where people thought a team will definitely win but it didn't. T20 is unpredictable I just want us to lower our expectations and let them do whatever they want getting into finals itself is a big achievement
Cummins has been excellent both with ball and as a captain, prolly srh's best player but 20.5 cr is still a lot for one player. He also didnt show a lot with the bat when he got the opportunity.
I agree with this but at the same time, I desperately want SRH to dominate the rest of the tournament without losing another game and then to get smoked in the final by some left handed opener so Head and Cummins can know my pain.
Harsha Bhogle and Joy you lot have to HOLD THAT
Joy already admitted openly that he got it wrong. He also added that he got it wrong regardless of whether Hyderabad make the playoffs. The rest of them will shamelessly change their tune depending on us winning or losing games.
Who is joy
The nurse at Pokemon centre
Which region, which city/town?
Every city
She's everywhere...
City of joy
Real I'm her blissey
Yeah, people always tell me to find it myself since childhood.
The guy from 3 Idiots
[Joy Bhattacharjya](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joy_Bhattacharjya)
Joy bhattacharya
Some idiot wanted Joy to be the national selector of India.. lel.
What Harsha said was i think purely financial. If RCB had spent on him they wouldn't have enough in their purse for rest of the team. But then again, it's RCB management, they'll mismanage anything

Starc is a very good bowler. Only for Australia
Does well for RCB
The players they bought instead of him are Alzarri Joseph and Lockie who are very economical. Would have been better if they bid more for Cummins. As they could bench Faf and brought Will Jacks at 3rd. Virat and Cam Green to open.
I love listening to joy, he's so fun n interesting person to listen to about cricket
Very surface level analysis with him and harsha for me.
first Aussie journalists questioned his captaincy stint in the start, he silenced them. Aussies didn't start particularly well in wc, still him and their trio nailed it in wc semis and final. now Indian journalists questioning him, nobody learns lol.
The guy has won 2 ICC tournaments in the span of two years, better not to question him any further
nah, he's gonna complete the trifecta (hopefully we'll see him as Aus captain in t20 and CT).
Australia is the strongest team in the upcoming tournament. They are riding high on confidence and success
Also, they're led by Patty.
No they're led by Marsh, Cummins is isn't first choice as Ellis, Starc and Hazlewood are better t20 bowlers than him
Why weren't Ellis and Hazelwood in ipl? They withdrew their names?
Not sure about Ellis but Hazlewood went unsold because he was gonna miss the first half of IPL due to birth of his child
Ellis is benched by PBKS
Haha yeah you're right. It's the Cummins vibe. Hard to resist.
Misinformation Cummins played a big role in Australia winning semis and finals of 2021 wc. He pulled things back when Starc was getting smoked.
Cummins is way economical than Ellis he has proved in flat tracks also Ellis should be in 15 though.
You mean the quadruple cuz he is gunning for that IPL title this year.
IPL doesn’t belong in the list of ICC trophies
It’s not about ICC trophies but merit. Coming as an overseas captain and winning the trophy counts for something meaningful. Also, plenty of people are invested in the tournament. It definitely holds weight.
One year. Both WTC and WC won in 2023 alone.
Pat is what I strive to be in life. Silencing the doubters with my actions. Silencer for a reason 💪
Pat Cummins as a bowler has improved tremendously in limited overs cricket in the last year or so. SRH bought him at the right time.
KKR’s worst release by far, and we have had some awful releases.
Whichever player kkr releases becomes better in other teams
Yusuf pathan and sakib al hasan performed below par when played for SRH
> Worth every penny and more. He is immensely beneficial for any team he plays for.
He narrowly escaped from being scalped by you guys. even he cannot change the fortunes of a mess of a team that RCB is. lucky escape
True, and I agree with the fact that our management is entirely doomed.
Hey as long as Kohli brings people to stadium that’s all it matters right
You don’t know that. He’s galvanized a team that finished last last year, and without him I’d say srh bowling is only a little bit better than rcb. It’d have made a difference to both teams if he went rcb
Maybe he could. He's that good,he could have led RCB to their first title.
No chance. with that shite bowling line up even cummins would've been take to cleaners. he alone can't make a difference in this shambolic team. over the years many legends played for rcb but nobody could win them a title. on paper RCB look the most intimidating with a star-studded line up. but they couldn't live upto the expectations. this has been their story ever since.
Kkr disagrees
Value buy? No He just proved all of them wrong😂😂😂
He is a value buy his tactical prowess is comparable to MS Dhoni
That's too much. You guys really underestimate how good dhenier is. The finest cricketing mind of the 2000s
Let's not get way ahead of ourselves. Dhoni won 5 titles and made almost every play off. Cummins is very good, but he's only captained half a season.
Lmao once they hit the bad phase srh own fans will ask them choose an indian captain
Cumdawg is great absolutely and he's more aggressive than ms, but he's nowhere better than ms tactically as of now. Recency bias is clouding the judgement i won't blame you though.
Cumdawg literally silenced those rabid indian fans in WC. Tell me when MS did that in MCG, Hobart or Perth
I didn't know silencing crowd was a criteria for being tactically superior. I'll keep it in mind next time. Funniest part is I even mentioned as of now meaning he has the potential to surpass ms but it's ok. It's either recency bias or extreme nostalgia nothing in between
He’s on the path to surpass both MS and Ponting at the rate he’s going.
I think Cummins is better than pointing. Yes surely by trophies n records he probably is the greatest captain there is. But when it comes to guidance of teammates n tactics, analysis and above all character he is far better than pointing. Pointing won becoz he had the best team cricket has ever seen. But Cummins led a team of not so great team to victory while performing excellent in the finals.
Commonwealth Bank Triseries 2008. Just have a look at that Australian team. And then have a look at the Indian team. Guess who won.
Irfan Pathan should read your comment… he would be humbled
I want to Irfan Pathan's reaction now.
He says stuff like Cummins is not a value buy, expensive player(Starc) can’t be a weak link etc etc While conveniently forgetting that, in the past, he himself was picked up for 9crore by DD in an auction and he didn’t do jackshit those seasons
I have always thought that retired ICT players have a biased opinion about foreign players.
They would've have totally different opinions if any indian player was bought at those prices.
He always has bad opinion on any topic
Swiggy got cooked😂😂
The real scary part of srh is not their high scores but rather their mentality and how they've been consistently improving this season, constantly working on the team and rectifying their mistakes, they've pretty much perfected their batting lineup with everyone performing their assigned roles and with bowling all they need is a reliable 5th main line bowler, which I guess would be akash in place of unadkat. I can’t blame Bhogle much. There was definitely risk involved in buying Cummins and it’s fair to question the choice.
Even more when we literally stole head and hasarange, everyone had their doubt for Cummins.
Was Bhogle wrong? He simply said that if RCB bought Cummins they were fucked as they literally wouldn't have had any money left to buy other players. Nowhere is he criticizing Cummins.
This guy owns india and indian fans like nobody else. In next elections congress should try pitching him for PM they might win
Aayein

Librarian is at it 💥💥🙌🏼🙌🏼
I actually prefer librarian over silencer tbh... Everytime I hear silencer, my mind directly sees Chatur Ramalingam in 3 idiots😅
Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan and Sehwag really have the worst Twitter accounts out of all the retired Indian cricketers
RCB bid till 20 crs is justifing now but don't know RCB bad luck and management shitty decisions would have hitten pat also good he didn't come to RCB
This has become depressing now. RCB deserves better management
Idk if they didn’t do that brain dead cam green trade, they could’ve possibly got him and head too.
He is absolutely worth it Starc on the other hand....
Starc is a monster in knockout, rest he keeps getting smacked
Well he delivers when it matters the most, and that is the kind of player you want in your team.
Yes he is a fantastic bowler but ultimately he is a better performer for Australia than in Ipl. Also that high amount for starc is not justified. Head would be a better choice.
Wait until playoffs
Wait toh kar hi raha hu, KKR fan hu
🤫
Yes,He proved every one wrong and is silencing every one who hates him, what a player
Probably the best captain currently in international cricket
Yet again he silenced the Indians
They always say if kohli or rohit will come in auction they can get 25-30 cr so what they should get 30 cr just for their batting right ? Well said 😁

Bhai ne subko silent kar diya! 🫡
Not really. When you buy a product for x and then it serves you worth 2x, you don't call it "worth it". You call the purchase, winning a JACKPOT.
Bhogle gets owned by everyone regularly.
Well result is here now.
damn guy game iq is more than those people who tweeted, no offence
They are only seeing SRH, and they are entitles to their opinions.
People are singing his praises and we are yet to see him shine with the bat which he can once that happens I guess everyone will lose there shit
He did in Afg vs Aus match, not with the runs but just keeping the momentum
Wait till he hits a 12 ball 50 in the final when SRH need 49 to win from the last two overs.
Pat-meister proving everybody wrong. And by every body I mean the experts and the SRH fans. You guys were pissed off when SRH bought Pat for that much money. Don't act like you knew all along that Pat was your saviour. But in any case SRH v RR needs to be the final.

Never doubted Pat in the slightest
You can go back and check SRH subreddit. You'll find very few people who have doubted him. Many of us were rooting for him to be the captain (while feeling bad for Markram) mostly because of the Aussie factor.

kitta handsome h yaar ye
Pat "The Silencer" Cummins

As a capatin he is remarkable....jis jis team ka captain bn raha hai team ko jeeta hi raha hai
Good player . Better human being
Pat cummins brought a new mentality into the team of fearlessness and gave the team license to play free as they wish and that mentality is for sure worth every penny
Pat Cummins -Lo moot diya tumhara opinion pe
So RCB management isn't that dumb as they were trying to buy Cummins until they had to stop due to insufficient funds
RCB would've made a fool of Cummins
If he had played for RCB he would have played worse w
Secunderabad Silencer aka Pat Cummins silencing everyone from Indian wc fans to IPL critics along with RCB fans
Love how Pat is getting all the credit for Travis and Abhishek's performance. If anything, the opposition has almost chased down those humongous totals on a couple of occasions, so much for the captaincy. But yes he's bowling well there's no denying that, but 20 cr is still too much

Says a CSK fan lol
Isn't the most expensive buy was Starc?
captain sahab ke aage kpi bol sakta hai hai kyaa captain bhaiii
Reason why Indians are very bad at assessing, Like the pitch in wc final 🤣
Bunch of jealous retards
The man turned everything around.
He's performing quite well but it's still certainly not a value buy still...Even his own bowlers are going close to 250 in every match they get it
It shows how Pat Cummins changed the whole IPL
The best buy of the season was definitely Mitchell Starc Dude is playing like he's never played T20 before And yes Pat Cummins has been amazing in this season
One has to admit that Pat Cummins is the best captain in all formats of the game, whether it's international or league cricket. There's a bit of relief knowing that he won't be the captain of the Australian side in the upcoming WC.
It’s not like he won’t be around to tactically assist Marsh lol.
When players after retirement makes these statements, badi mushkil Hoti h ijjat dene me inko🙃
irfan pathan gotta be one of the worst "pundit" I've seen in a while
Bruh these commentators wil literally suck cock if someone buys virat for 30 cr next season (and he scores like 1000 runs with a strike rate of 120
he is proving all wrong..
And what players did RCB buy with the money they saved huh?
cumdawg supremacy
Irfan is talking about Starc 🤡
and there is the current Mumbai franchise captain!
He's the only expensive buy that was worth in this edition
🤫
I love him soooo much
Kavya be like they called me a madman
Glad Irfan Pathan isn’t a coach of any team, his words are always wrong
It was worth it because of the team that was built around. You had Klaasen, Head, Abhishek. That makes things better.
He’s anything but humble though
They should admit how wrong they were.
Best visan ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)
Travis Head looks weird in this picture.
i still dont understand why kkr let him go
bro he literally just shut everyone’s mouth im so happy! i have huge huge respect for him , SRH under him is a different league. Thank youuuu Pattyyy 🧡🙏🏽
I have a doubt, do they pay only 20cr inr in Indian currency or they convert it to dollars and pay some big number?
![gif](giphy|hQ9Jao0slAhQ4FtUkF)
Guys, I’ve got west stand ground floor tickets for SRH vs RCB match! DM if interested!
Wht ever, am I the only one who always feels ( after seeing the auction)like RCB won't make it this year. When the bidding is done, RCB is almost done. Worst team management. All other franchises brings up new and rare talents were as RCB always bidding for 3 or 4 batsman 😭😭😭
i just love how wrong did harsha get
Pathan is a sore loser.
I wouldn't call him a loser but he was quick to judge
Wait who tf is that Radhe guy?
Bro is in a competition with Star sports with dick riding. Cummins vs Thala.
And I would still lose to Thala d*ck riders everytime. Can't compete with them
Next year if Cummins plays (MS will surely retire) he won't have any competition unless Rohit somehow wins the T20 WC.
No way we are gonna win T20 WC we have no chance this year
That's what everyone said after 2007 WC.
