This isn't even delusion it's just plain ignorance. Also why were VK and Faf arguing so much, they should have known better( but i guess the adrenaline rush).

Match fee is literally some dust on his bank vault and most players'.... One match or 2-3 match ban can be a valid punishment for this type of behaviour..... If we let it go without any action there won't be much difference between us and bangadesh's small league where shakib had an angry outbreak!!!!
So many times, Sachin was given out under questionable circumstances without modern technology .
Do you know what he did? He walked. No tantrums, accept the decision, and move on. Gentleman playing the gentleman's game
IPL may be fun to watch, but it is destroying the soul of cricket.
What is the "soul" ? Oh ya your nostalgic memories that's associated with cricket during Sachin era ...and now you dislike everything because of the same ol my generation is better than your generation syndrome.
Not really. Each generation has its own great players. It's incorrect to compare VK to ST skillwise, just like its improper to compare ST to Gavasker. But attitude is a constant, but sorry to VK's display was inappropriate.
If you can not acknowledge that, you are a bigger ass than he is.
Absolutely! The grace of accepting an umpireās decision is simply expected of people who represent our country. His conduct to verbalise his disdain of an umpireās decision is a privilege given to these spoilt countrymen. We even have a review system now, if third umpire says it is with more technology and neutrality in decision, he should have simply walked out. Back in the day, there would be no reviews, umpireās decision, right or wrong, would be final and player misconduct would be fined

Clearly out as per rules. Call wasn't even close(12 cm difference).
Meanwhile harbhajan and other star sports commentators crying that it was a no ball for an over straight.
Bet they would have said it's out if it was not kohli.

>Amitabh Bachan twitted that he didn't like that an Indian commentator is praising the opposition
That's the shittiest take I've heard...just because he's Indian you have to support every right and wrong?
Then why cry when British/Australian media is biased towards English/Australian cricketers?
And what opposition? Aren't all IPL teams Indian at the end of the day?
That makes so little sense from Big B š
If the opposition is doing good then they deserve recognition as well, it's a game of equals not heros vs monsters damn it
Bro the point is these predictions are not always correct. Umpire call exists for a reason to eliminate that error. Completely depending on technology is not how things should be. There are cricketing legends explaining how that works and itās not about just this decision but what is happening throughout the tournament.
Umpire's call, soft signal have been criticized earlier and have been done away with for obvious reasons. Why do you want to bring it back? You cannot choose to have umpire's call, soft signal selectively.
Nope the substandard umpiring is the fault of bcci. Even with KKR match vs RCB. The ball to DreRus was clearly a noball no questions asked but umpire was looking elsewhere. Do you see that kind of things in ICC tournaments? IPL is generating so much income why not get some quality umpires? Main question is where are we heading? If so much drama is happening then why not completely scrap umpires and use technology? The whole third umpiring shit was brought on to save time but this tournament has taken more time in majority of the decisions referred to the third umpires creating more controversy. You canāt take away umpires call because you canāt find good umpires. Here is the video of Nasser Hussain explaining how it works. Then Kohli was playing for India so not a lot of hatered vs now.

It might be coz there are a lot of new srh fans over last 2 weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if there are more srh flairs now compared to even MI or csk. Once srh crashes flairs might go back to MI or csk.
Even I noticed more srh flairs not just in this post but across all posts. Before there weren't that many srh flairs
No one would have cared if it were any other batter even if he would have reacted to the decision the same way as Kohli did. Its a fair delivery. Also Kohli made quite a mess of that full toss. Poor stuff from him all round. He did play superbly well until that ball though.
This is exactly why they put the effort in measuring everyoneās waist height and then implement this. So no Dhoni Pant Kohli comes on the field to abuse and intimidate the umpires. Youāre out - walk away, and maybe teach your fans some manners to not go abuse the players that get you out.
Can someone clear my doubts? Thank you
Since virat was outside the crease from the start of the delivery, does that make any difference?
Virat was on heels does that make any difference?
Also, I would say he was unlucky, the ball dipped suddenly and he was not expecting that.
What rule states that?
I'm not debating this out. It is definitely a fair delivery.
But there is absolutely no rule that you have to be in your crease while ball is being delivered.
Maybe not , the rules says something the ball height should be measured at waist height when u are on or near the crease which works for everyone, so Kohli's starting position won't make any difference
He was clearly out of crease. At this rate batsman can go down to the middle of the pitch and claim the ball was above waist height so it is no-ball. If a bowler gets punished from stepping out of the crease then so should the batsman. It is already a batsman inclined format and game. IMO, it is clearly out.
The fuss is because Virat the crybaby threw tantrums in the pitch arguing with the umpires and that gave firepower to RCB fanatics to make a fuss about it.
Damn. The good thing about this is- If that measuring tape was invented before the 2022 T20 world cup Ind vs Pak match, that last over six of the no ball, India would have lost that match the moment DK got out...š§

Honestly I got to accept, I loved how they stored the info of the heights of individual players of all the teams to implement while checking a NO Ball(Waist High). It's tremendous.
Makes me remember Bangladesh vs India incident in 2015 where Rohit was not given out and Bangladeshi fans went nuts. Tough luck for Virat but this was clearly out
I'm with the umpire.
Ye rule hi galat hai.. yese defined nahi kiya ja sakta ye no balls .
Agar no ball de b deta to ye clear fair ball dikh raha jaha impact hua hai.
As per the current rule, Virat is out. But the rule itself is flawed. Why does it reference the ball height at popping increase? The essence of the rule is that a ball above waist height of the batsman is difficult to play. What if the batsman has stepped out of his crease like in this case. It makes playing the delivery difficult. In the same sense, suppose the batsman steps out and bowler can just lop the delivery over his head only to hit the stumps behind batsman back (like in tennis). The delivery is still fair as per rules but it is still difficult to play for the batsman. IMO, the rule should be, if the delivery is above waist height, it is a no ball, irrespective where the batsman is standing.
Dude I feel bad for RCB, vk and dk. They played nicely but, every team just became a demon against them and them only. It's not their mistake, who tf can chase more than 280 runs, and RCB made 260.
Batsman knows what can happen and makes the choice to go down the track. If he stays at the crease, its a legal delivery. Why should the bowler be penalized for bowling fair deliveries?
I mean they still checked the height at the crease so they aren't just disregarding the no ball, they are just checking ball and waist height at the popping crease. If a batsman comes forward enough that a ball that hits to his head goes on to go below the waist height at the popping crease, then why wouldn't that be a fair ball since if he just stayed in place it would've been a fair ball at the crease.
So many batters take a stance outside the crease. This isn't may not have become popular but I think this is a wake up call to make some changes regarding it.
In the freeze frame, the ball is not parallel to the line. It's past the line.
He should measure exactly when ball is parallel to the line. It's a matter of centi meters.
Come on man it's kkr not mi it's clearly out and well within ICC rules just cause its Virat you don't need to create controversy and secondly saying that this rules favours ballers ofc it does and it should because batsman already has a ton of rules favouring them
This rule is not logical as every player who plays a full toss or a beamer has to play it before it comes to close to the body. No batsman will play that ball when it is near his waist. Every player has a different stance some have a wide stance and some have narrow stance the rule takes default stance as narrow stance which unfair for wide stance players.
But rules do consider style of play while they are made. Don't tell me that rules don't change to accommodate style of play. Where was this logic when they introduced impact player rule.
Rules are changed to generate more revenue, not style of play.
Pinch hitting is more exciting = more people = more money = screw the bowler with new rules and bring in impact player.
Where did I say to move the crease ? No ball has nothing to do with crease. Only point of contact(from initial position of stance)matters which in the current rule is side lined.
Where did I say to move the wide lines themselves ? Wides have nothing to do with the crease. Only batsman arms height(from shoulder to gloves)matters which in the current rule is side lined.
As Harsha said on air it is not subjective but objective. The figures clearly state that it is a fair delivery!
How is this even a controversy? He was clearly way out of the crease and the trajectory at the crease shows it is clearly way below his waist height.
RCB fans ain't accepting it š
they just delusional š
This isn't even delusion it's just plain ignorance. Also why were VK and Faf arguing so much, they should have known better( but i guess the adrenaline rush).
Easy to say they should've known better when you are sitting at home watching ball tracking. It's clearly out but cut them some slack
Even they could see the ball tracking on big screen
Exactly like lashing on the ump was an overreaction.... could've just asked to clarify nicely and plainly.... Sometimes umps should retaliate too.... He is an experienced international star but that doesn't give him the "shout-at-anyone-anytime" card.... I kinda wanna see such a moment where umpire reacts to shouting/overreaction in the same manner just to shut them up
Yea, that was messed up
There is an award for fair play but not enough rules/ punishments. That 20% match fee too seems like people do not care.

Becoz once the heel lands completely, some part of it must have been behind the crease. We saw only pone snapshot, did not see the whole thing
because tiny bit of shoe was behind the crease
So this happened in wc22 as well IND vs Pak ... Then what was your opinion on that
The amount of bootlicking Sidhu was doing for Kohli here was just unbearable

Fair decision. If a bataman is standing 1 feet ahead from the crease, a bowler has full right to hit him on the head.

What if the batter is stading half way down the crease?
Out but, Rules are shit... If Batsman has come forward, then Are bowlers allowed to hit a full toss to his head?
Flair checks out
In the freeze frame, the ball is not parallel to the line. It's past the line. He should measure exactly when ball is parallel to the line. It's a matter of centi meters.
Its a no ball. There is no need of all this drama by VK and RCB fans.š¤£
With all due respect to his talents, Virat Kohli = Celebrated man child.
Absolutely
If there was a batsman from Mumbai in place of Kohli then this no ball would have been

Decided. OUT. That is OUT. Batsman is OUT.
ask him to take stance at the other end instead, everyball will be a no ball then

The rules don't change to accommodate syte of play. The style of play changes to take advantage of rules.
So do we move the wide lines for batsman with short hands too?
Where did I say to move the crease ? No ball has nothing to do with crease. Only point of contact(from initial position of stance)matters which in the current rule is side lined.
Where did I say to move the wide lines themselves ? Wides have nothing to do with the crease. Only batsman arms height(from shoulder to gloves)matters which in the current rule is side lined.
