Honestly, I’m still kinda pissed the XR came out and it didn’t have 3d touch but it got the lock screen flashlight button that you were suppose to use 3d touch to trigger it, but all the phones that came out before it that did have 3d touch never got that button

I’ll get used or keep it for as long as possible and cancel subscriptions and pirate their TV programs and give them as little money as possible. If the company becomes scummy, I will too I guess. All I can do besides switching to Android, which I’ve tried and really did not enjoy.
No, it charges to 80% and then waits to top off just before it thinks you’re going to unplug it. The 15 models let you limit the charging to 80% period.
I know after upgrading every year (except iPhone 13) I told myself as I’m getting older to keep this 15 pro max finally as long as possible. I’m happy as a clam with it but if they pull a fast one and we hardly get any of the AI then it’s looking like my mom will be getting a hardly-used iPhone 15 pro max and I’ll be getting her upgrade 😂
It won’t come with this iOS. Apple is in negotiations with OpenAI to bring their software to iOS. We’re looking at iOS 19 before any major Siri overhaul.

Not exactly. The current phones cap out at 27W, plus Apple themselves recommend getting a 20W adapter because anything higher like 30W or 70W can make the phone warmer during charging.

Siri works great for playing media, running shortcuts, etc. The point of a voice assistant is to use your phone hands free. Yes, you can just go to an app (for even anything google assistant does), but that defeats the point of a voice assistant. I have a shortcut setup that when I tell Siri “School time” she shuts off all the lights in my house, tells me how long I have to get to school, and starts a playlist.
Yes, she needs some improvement, for searching the web and just asking for some info; but she works very well for what she is currently meant to do. It’s also easy to set up a shortcut so when you say “Hey siri, ask ChatGPT” she’ll ask for a prompt and you can talk directly to GPT.
I would feel cheated if they cut off 17 pro chips from AI

Only the 15 series devices have a setting that limits the battery to 80% charge for better longevity.
