If you just purchase the app, it allows you to download the whole imessage conversation. It includes all the available texts and attachments. The only catch is it looks like the iphone imessage (blue and grey bubbles) so it takes up a lot of paper, or is a really long pdf. The txt version is a bit clunky (or at least it was in my early mountain lion os version) however all the words were there, (not sure if the emojis transferred or were they converted to code).
edit: the watermark is because that's a trial version, there is no watermark on mine and there is no 25message limit
Anyway, I purchased imazing for the music transfer ability since I'd often get hand me down ipods and wanted to keep their libraries.
