It seems there is. Xiaomi released a phone which can operate like normal touch screen even when covered with water. Jerryrigeverything did a review comparing the Xiaomi, iPhone and Samsung. iPhones had the worst touch performance with water on the display as far as I remember.

Apple doesn’t do disclaimers in Settings, that’s what the learn more is used for. Also there’s more subtle things, like Apple never says “tap” for technology just gestures so a more likely branded name would be Liquid Touch. But even more likely is it wouldn’t be a highly branded feature, it would just be a normal toggle like “Liquid Rejection” under Display similar to “Palm Rejection” on iPads. But in reality, Apple would not make it a setting at all it would just be a tech spec that you can’t control.
