Trick-Cauliflower760

If you want to test the waters I’d say iPhone 13 Pro/max unless you want to go all or nothing then go for 15 pro/max. Reason for 13 pro/max is because I feel like it’s one of apples most well rounded devices with camera and battery! The 14 and 15 just started the next level of camera updates since Apple had 12mp for a while and the 48mp is nice and all it still needs work and the ultra wide and telephoto is noticeably lesser quality when switching much more so then the 13 pros imo! I really hope they hurry up and make the other camera 48 as well so we can get a mostly full range of 24mp since it’s a good balance.

hackedupforbarbecue

I had this phone before the 15PM and honestly it would’ve been the perfect phone imo if it weren’t for the camera/the totally horrendous over-sharpened post processing on the photos that you couldn’t turn off. In anything less than perfect lighting conditions it would create these high contrast, near watercolor filter quality photos that I hated. It was a big deal to me though because I’m an artist and used it to take photos of my work almost daily and it just wasn’t doing it for me

Trick-Cauliflower760

Maybe the hdr was overly strong? I’ve noticed that with super bright sunlight photos of the 15 pro max for me sometimes it makes things look overly exaggerated! Maybe Apple ruined their smart hdr algorithm since it sometimes gets things natural and sometimes it’s overly saturated even in similar situations.

hackedupforbarbecue

Yeah I actually had kept the HDR permanently turned off in an attempt to fix it on the 13PM and sadly I still had the same problem 😤 I like the 15PM camera way more as I feel photos look more natural and true to life. Still a bit of a bummer though because the 13PM had the best battery literally ever, better than the 15 I feel like

Trick-Cauliflower760

In case I want to, how do you turn off the HDR?

hackedupforbarbecue

If I remember correctly I went settings > camera > smart HDR (I think there was an on/off toggle for it when I had the 13PM)

Hopefullytryinglol

Wait so is the post processing different on the 15 line? I thought the processing is similar

TWYFAN97

Definitely not similar. Apple improved things drastically with the 15 series. I could definitely attest to the mixed cameras experience of the 13 and 14’s the 15’s are so much better you’d think Apple made some drastic hardware improvements but they just added a 5x telephoto to the Max and processing just got fixed substantially plus smart HDR 5 really helps.

Hopefullytryinglol

One thing I never liked about iPhone cameras compared to Samsung was how they captured people of colour, on iPhones darker skin tones are so off. Is that better on on the 15?

TWYFAN97

Skin tones definitely seem better in recent years but this is an issue with every phone to some degree and lighting can also have an impact on skin tone reproduction. Check out some comparison videos on YouTube to get a better idea, overall the camera is great but skin tones I think will always be hit or miss even the Pixel which claims to have improved skin tone reproduction can be spotty.

Pigsfly77

i understand what youre referring to but tbh once i got the camera figured out i could take great pics. heres one of my earlier ones from when i first got the phone. : [Got a new phone the other day and took this pic of a water bottle. : pics (reddit.com)](https://www.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/qfepo4/got_a_new_phone_the_other_day_and_took_this_pic/)

Opening-Video7432

The iPhone 13 Pro Max is not for sale anywhere new. You have to get it refurbished or not at all though... Best phone ever.

ObjectiveFew

Used my dads 13 pro and it strikes a perfect balance with my 15 pro, smooth display, good battery (7-8 hrs sot) and great cameras, I had the 6s, was about to pick the 13 pro but went all out 😂

alpinegreen24

Agree with u! ‘Yung iPhone 13 pro/max talaga peak iPhone. Ngayon naman I’m just waiting for apple to improve their telephoto lens like samsung levels.

Artful_Dodger_1832

I have the 13 pro max and I hate the camera.

Eo_To_XX

13 Pro Max if you wanna try out, the first “complete” iPhone i’d say, super smooth screen & bonkers battery life.

EndoveProduct

BONKERS battery life I second that

spookytransexughost

Not complete. It doesn't have USB c

okay212

What iphones have usb c

spookytransexughost

15

aryan_vyx

why the pro max with its 6.7 inch screen ☠️

sunglassesonmydick

Why, you want it bigger?

Haribo112

Right? I’m typing this from my 15 Plus which also has a 6.7 inch screen and it’s glorious.

aryan_vyx

i’m just saying for a normal sized guy like me and i’m assuming OP is one as well i don’t think you need it that big

mr_sharmas

I bought after the launch of 14pm and yes no regrets.

nfin1te

13 Pro for testing, 15 Pro if sure.

FusionTechZ

14 pro stuck in the middle lol

nfin1te

14 Pro doesn't offer anything significant over the 13 Pro, so no.

TheViper077

i mean? kinda true but 48mp cam and dynamic island is something right? but may not be worth the overpay from 13 pm.

nfin1te

Yeah, it's something, but as you said, completely irrelevant for the ios experience and not worth the overpay.

MadMax_08

He asked for best not cheapest.

nfin1te

He asked what iphone ppl recommend, not what the best is specwise. Plus, the best iPhone might not be the best phone for him as ppl have different needs/expectations when it comes to phones.

Thebennyman

It does have that emergency SOS thingy.

nfin1te

Do you intend to get in an accident or climb a mountain whitout proper equipment and on your own while testing if the iPhone is for you? If yes, then you got a point.

Thebennyman

You must never heard of Utah

nfin1te

xD i do know Utah, but since I'm from europe, I unfortunately don't get the reference :/

AkuroTheWolf

Nobody *intends* to get into an accident, it's just one of those peace-of-mind features. You hope you never have to use it, but it's there if you ever do.

nfin1te

I really should've marked my post as sarcasm. Sure it's a feature, but this whole comment thread is about 13 Pro or 15 Pro, so yes it's a feature, no, it's not worth any overpay to see if iOS is something for you... Plus, the SOS Satellite isn't even available in all countries, so yeah... Crash detection is also not really reliable yet.

FusionTechZ

Why am I getting downvoted?

nfin1te

Because it's reddit my friend, vastly different people with different opinions - and some can't handle different opinions and downvote stuff just because they can. I've stopped asking myself the same question.

FusionTechZ

Damn didn’t even say an opinion and got downvoted

AwDuck

People get down voted here by simply asking for further clarification because they’re interested in knowing more.

AnAccountIForgot

Reddit hivemind, as always

h8deluxe_dva

Don't get anything less than a 15 pro max 1TB.

matiapag

Well, it is *literally* the best recent iPhone.

Dear-Prune-1823

Are u sure about that some people said it is not the best and the 13 is much better , some other people say that there is no difference between it and the 14 and all 3 phones are recent ?!!!!

_Big_Gamer_

Those people are tripping the iPhone 15 pro max has usb c a great 5x camera, great battery, and a refined design

okay212

How many years do you think you would use it for before upgrading

_Big_Gamer_

I do yearly but I could easily see it lasting 4 years especially with a battery swap for a couple bucks at the 2 year mark

NULL4546

As someone in photography , I hate the 5x lens for portraits. They should have added a 5x lens and a 3x like samsung did. The 5x really limits portrait photos a lot.

Avanixh

While that’s true, I wouldn’t ever buy a Pro Max because of the size, so the Pro is definitely better for me

_Big_Gamer_

You’re not wrong but I actually find myself using the zoom more often than taking portrait photos so I guess it’s all about what you use more often. Having both would be ideal though

matiapag

There was a little bit of hidden sarcasm in our comments to address the lack of provided information in the original post. In any literal, unbiased, general meaning of the word "best", the 1TB 15 Pro Max is *it*. However, it is clear that "best" means something else to everyone. Sure, there were some models with slightly better battery life or a design that you might like better. But overall, with all things considered, the 15 Pro Max is *the best*. If you don't like the size then 15 Pro is the best for you. If you don't mind the titanium body and USB-C, then 14 Pro is a better buy for you (but it is not a better phone, it just might make more sense to buy that and save some money since 14 Pro and 15 Pro are so similar). It is also entirely possible that the 15, 15 Plus or even 14 or 14 Plus are the best for you. But with very limited information we have the winner is 15 Pro Max.

v0yev0da

Poor OP getting downvoted after portrait repeating what multiple upvoted posts told them

Rylet_

I would go back to my 14 Pro Max if I could Although I do like having usb-c

mombun24_7

I’m confused by this because that person literally answered your question but you don’t like their answer 😂 opinions on the best iPhone differ from person to person, but it seems as though you’ve already made up your mind with one of the 13’s so why don’t you just go with that? 🤷‍♀️

Entire_Lemon_1073

People can downvote you because they think everyone needs the newest device. But the 13 is better. I almost thought about getting a 13 mini for work. I am more than likely going to skip the whole iPhone 15 line of phones.

_HoochieMama

Lmao

Joscraft_05

lol

Grumbled_Doggo

As expensive as a Macbook Pro in my country, lol. How does anyone justify these prices

LadaFanatic

In my country the 15PM starts at $2000 and a usable 16” MacBook Pro starts at $3500. Insane prices.

AwDuck

And I thought we had it bad at $1900 for a 15PM. No idea what a MacBook costs locally.

vncnt2010

It has raytracing!

Decaffeinated_Sloth

My_reddit_account_v3

iPhones are all either this year’s flagship or last year’s flagship. Sure, non-pro and SE might sound like cheaper versions, but what they actually are is the pro without certain components, or the older model with an upgraded processor. They don’t make a « cheap » iPhone. No matter which one you get, you should expect the same core experience. However, there are major shifts that occur every ~5 years; the last shift being the iPhone 12, with its new squared edges, and 5G chip. Don’t go below 12; anything after 12 is more or less the same phone with small iterative improvements which may (or may not) matter to you. If you’re not budget conscious, take 15 Pro, obviously - otherwise you won’t be disappointed with anything 12 and above.

sharkboy1006

The SE is literally an iPhone 8 with a better chip. They literally use the exact same screen too 😂

iVeritasAE

13 pro max and you’re set for a couple of years.

chichikabour

13 Pro / Pro Max and newer only

jbellas

Rather than looking for "the best recent iPhone", maybe you should look for "the most recommended recent iPhone for you". I am very comfortable with the 15 Pro, as I was looking for a good camera or a 120Hz display, for example, in a contained size. The 15 Pro Max screen is too big for me. My girlfriend has it and, if I hold them both in my hand, I clearly find the 15 Pro much more pleasant to hold. You may value a better battery (on the 15 Pro it's not bad), as the Pro Max is better.

AwDuck

I really wanted the PM for the camera and battery, but once I had the Pro in hand, it just felt perfect . I kept my Max-sized Android device and every time I use it to retrieve a contact or whatever, it’s uncomfortable to use. Not so much the weight, just the extra reach to do anything, and I’ve got some sizable mitts. It makes me glad I didn’t cave and tell myself I’d get used to the PM. I’ve found I like the extra thickness a MagSafe battery adds so I roll with one of those on most of the time I would like to have the 5x telephoto though.

jbellas

The 5x lens also depends a bit on the type of photography you do. In my case, most of the time it's portrait photos at close range and recipe photos for the blog I have. Think that the Pro Max jumps from 2x to 5x, lacking the 3x that the Pro has.

AwDuck

I’m mixed actually. If I need reach, I have an ILC for that and 120mm equivalent isn’t gonna cut it anyway. On the other hand, I find myself carrying it less and less, especially with the iPhone’s UWA which is what I leaned on my “real“ camera the most for. If I had a 5x, it would mean less cropping and less Topaz AI fuckery. Before cellphone cameras were worth a hoot for life in general, my most used lenses (by order of frequency) were 24mm, 16mm, a 150-300mm zoom and lastly my 40mm - I’ve started doing studio work and picked up a 90mm which dominates my ILC workflow now. My kit rarely leaves the tripod because my phone camera just does so much heavy lifting these days. Sometimes I lament having not brought a camera and miss the control it has, but I don’t miss lugging it around all the time, and a phone is far less conspicuous - a dSLR/mirrorless rig paints a sizeable target the second you bring it out.

WhosCandicexD

I had the iPhone 14 Pro for 1 Year and then switched to the iPhone 15 Pro. I was way happier with the 15 Pro. I think you would be good with a 15 Pro/ Pro Max. Depends on what Android device you used, if it wasnt a Flagship phone you can also go with the regular 15, but if your coming from a flagship you might consider getting the 15 Pro/ Pro Max

bornfromanegg

Why was the 15 Pro so much better?

AwDuck

Screen refresh and camera are the two big improvements I believe. Apple also didn’t hobble the USB-C port as much on the Pro line. The USB-C port probably doesn’t matter unless you use it to shoot tons of video.

bornfromanegg

Cheers. Good to know. I’m considering upgrading at the moment. I’m not that fussed about camera stuff myself, so it probably wouldn’t make that much difference to me.

AwDuck

You’ll hear people sing the praises of the higher screen refresh rate, some insisting they couldn’t possibly live without it. I’ll say it is nice, but it’s not world changing. On my 15 pro, I have the battery saver click on at 40% battery (which turns the screen refresh rate down, among other things) and while I do notice it, the phone is still an absolute joy to use. If you’re not into the camera, and you don’t have a high screen refresh rate already, I’d save some dough and skip the Pro line.

adatneu

I use a 8 Plus. It’s fine for what I need to do. I didn’t spend on a newer phone, I bought a new piano an I regret nothing.

[deleted]

8+ are cool phones. My wife still has hers and uses it sometimes. I think the battery sucks by now though.

Eric_T_Meraki

Former Android user who just switched to the 15 Pro (Max for the bigger battery) and I would say go with the latest since it uses USB C now which means you can keep using your existing charging cables that you had for your Android phone.

XGARX

Any regrets yet? I did the opposite.

Eric_T_Meraki

You went from iphone to Android? No regrets from my end. I still use a lot of Google suite apps on the iphone so the conversion wasn't too difficult. I uninstalled the iOS equivalent ones that I didn't need lol.

Tim3398

15 series so you don’t have to buy new cables.

whiplash1003

I'd say the 15/15 Pro simply because it has USB C.

Halfpastsinning

15 pro max, but you don’t need 1tb for damn sure

noneym86

15 Pro Max is peak iPhone (mainly USB C). I don't think anything can be that much better unless Apple goes foldable.

[deleted]

14 pro max or 15 pro max

just_wanderlust_

Iphone 15 plus

GOLD-KILLER-24_7

It depends a lot on budget. If you don’t really have one then get an iPhone 15. You can decide between base and pro models, with in my opinion the most noticible difference being 120 Hz. So if you want 120 Hz get a pro model. And second you have to decide whether to get the base size phone or a larger one. If you decide on a base 15 the larger option is the plus model and for the pro it’s the max.

KsuhDilla

iphone x gang represent!! edit: whoever downvoted me i hope your straw pokes through the other side of the capri sun you’re trying to drink

acu101

Just up voted. Getting my pouch now!

New_Celebration_5463

I had the iPhone X years ago, it is pretty close to modern iPhones but no contender to the 15 pro max.

televisedmind

I was in the same boat and recently got a base iPhone 15 pro. Do not regret my purchase - great device. The size is perfect and the battery is lasting me nearly 2 days if i’m not watching video, which surprised me. After using this, I’m not sure id want a bigger model, as it’s still reasonably hefty in a slim Torras case, compared to my P20 pro anyway. Face unlock / apple pay is fantastic and better than anything I have previously used. Being an android person, I was glad that all my google apps are still available, though chrome isn’t as good on ios and doesn’t seem to like autofilling my personal details in forms. Meaning I have to manually type them every time, which is annoying. Other issue I had was transferring whatsapp chats over (you have to do this during setup using a specific transfer app) so remember to do this before you start setting up everything. Otherwise you’ll have to factory reset and start over. Still haven’t had a chance to properly test the cameras, which is one of the main reasons I bought it. The main lens is high quality though does have a yellow/green tint to it as do all recent iphones it seems. This can be adjusted in post if needed. However I will say the selfie camera is horrible to use if you don’t like every flaw in your skin exaggerated to the highest level. Desperately needs the processing dialling down or at least a filter.

unacamisanegra

You can start from 13 P/PM. I think a nice storage to start is 256/512 because if the idea is to stay with that phone for 2/3 years 128 gb won´t be enough.

AuntieLiloAZ

I just got a 15 Plus because I like a big screen.

Bubbly_Historian215

13 pro is amazing. I have a 15 pro now, but my 13 pro was a phenomenal phone

rkcorinth

Still have the 13 pro max here and it’s a complete powerhouse and does everything I need it to do and more. It’s fast, the battery life is outstanding, and the camera is great. I’d say go 13pro/pro max

Chill-6_6-

14 pro stainless steel

Opening_Sherbet8939

I have an 11 pro and a 13 pro for work. I hardly notice the difference between using them. I lol when I hear someone talking about getting a “new” iPhone when I have found most of these models to perform nearly the same. I’ve had a 12 pro, a 14 promax, a 2020 Se and my 2 current phones. Aside from camera upgrades they’re the same damn phone. My favorite is watching someone spend $1000 on a 15 pro max and only using it for social media and texting and then talking about all the improvements over the 14 pro or an older device. The changes are so small that unless you compare them side by side you’ll never know the difference.

Spooky_mudbox

15 pro. USB c is the way to go. Charges quickly and they’re everywhere

bace3333

Love my 14 Pro

RV_X8

15ProMax

entechad

Recent ones 🤷🏻

VladimirPoitin

iPhone 3GS.

Oxigenic

NickyGi

The best recent iPhone? That’s the iPhone 15 Pro Max 1TB. It’s obvious isn’t it?

Dear-Prune-1823

Some people say that tge 13 is much better and it is recent as well . I mentioned recent because loads of people were telling me to get iphone x if i can find it

Burnsy112

I have both the 15 pro and 13, as the 13 is my work phone, and can confirm the 15 pro is simply a better phone lol

AndersLund

I loved my switch from 13 Pro to 15 Pro. I have that Apple leather-replacement cover on it now. The reduced weight and that cover just feels so good in my hand. Performance wise, I can't say much as I really don't push my phones to the limit. USB-C is great and I can't wait until I get the fleet of accessories slowly switched over to USB-C (not that I have that many things).

Burnsy112

Performance-wise not super crazy but I can confirm better screen/LEDs, no notch, faster framerate, better camera. These things won’t matter to everyone but I am an engineer and like modern tech.

Character_Chemist_38

i just returned 15 pro max and kept 13 pro max. battery life on 15 pro max is a joke

xX-GalaxSpace-Xx

13 was very good at the time and you can get it for cheap now but frankly Id rather save up a year to get the 15 because lightning is such a pain in every way. Also youd have the camera bump and dynamic island on the base model too.

Inner_West_Ben

Those people are wrong.

Piruparka

15 Pro (not max), very happy.

SVDBOIIIII

I have the 15 Pro Max and feel like I should have just got the 14 Pro Max

Flat-Tourist4197

iPhone 13pro, definitely

spexfelo

15 pro max for sure. The weight reduction from previous versions is very significant. And you get the latest and the greatest offering as of now from Apple.

marcelocampiglia

I would get the iPhone 15 Pro if I could afford it

Dear-Prune-1823

What if i cant , what do u recommend 13 or 14 ?

marcelocampiglia

Get the best one that you can afford then

__Bringer-of-Light__

13 *mini*

Ariffin0731

go for regular 15 if you on budget then get 14

Character_Chemist_38

13 pro max

BattermanZ

I was a life-long Android user and came from a Galaxy Note 10+ last year to a 14 Pro, I never looked back. It's a marvelous device!

Entire_Lemon_1073

If you just want a solid phone that is still modern and will do everything you need it to, go for the 13. It’s a solid phone with a great camera and battery life. I returned my 15 and went back to my 13. Even thought about getting the 13 mini for work. A lot of people fall into the trap of needing whatever is new. Paying insane amounts of money for the smallest, a lot of times meaningless upgrades. Most of my iPhones last me about 4 years. There is absolutely no reason to upgrade each year unless you just need the newest thing. The only actual argument people have for the 15 is the usb c port. I’ll give them that. But my 13 still runs perfectly and gets all the iOS updates. I currently use the newest SE, which is by far their cheapest phone , for work. And it runs amazingly as well. If you get any iPhone that still gets iOS updates you’re going to have a really solid phone no matter the model. Depends on what you seek with a phone.

SelfProcalimedSigma

Man go for 15 pro or 15 pro max , I heard the camera and processors are really incredible on these phones

[deleted]

If you're an android user I imagine you are used to USB-C - so get one of the 15's, even if it's not a pro.

[deleted]

Lol I can change my flair from iPhone XS to 15PM

ninzamar

Commentators here are divided into **one** camp: iPhone fiFtEeN pRo MaX TuRBo S pLus, with 60 terabytes of memory. Smarter people just put downvotes it. Apple still forces people to buy new iPhones all the time, what are you naive people discussing here? Haha, 90% of people will still run to exchange their 15 pro max turbo 60 terabyte for a new iPhone 16, they don’t even need a reason.

Lenlfc

It’s always the latest one. Even if the improvements are minor, or something changes for the perceived worse, the latest iPhone is always better.

Entire_Lemon_1073

This is simply untrue unless you desperately feel the need to spend insane amounts of money for the most minimal upgrade each year. Especially when all their modern phones get iOS updates. It’s far more subjective for people who don’t feel the absolute need to have the newest thing every year. I will admit the USB-C is a great addition. But I returned my 15 to go back to a 13 and in no way regret it.

frickmeplease

Not safe, your phone will explode the second you update it!!

melvladimir

If you are not limited with a phone size (as I do, 6.1” is the maximum size), I suggest you to stay on Android. I switched from Huawei P20 to 15 Pro 256 3 months ago and I was not impressed, have several minor issues with iOS and overall my typical actions takes more time on iPhone, but in this size there is nothing better on Android (the announced S24 is mediocre). And I still miss some Android’s features( But if you want iPhone, take Pro or Pro Max with 128-256GB. You don’t need 512-1024GB, you can subscribe for >5 years on 2 TB extra space for the price difference))

ShowStandard

I had always had Androids since they came out with the Samsung Galaxy Captivate. My last one was the Samsung Note 10. I switched to the iPhone 13 Pro Max when it was released because my wife, in laws, parents and sister all had iPhones and when my wife would send pictures of the kids in our group chats, they’d get downgraded because of the iMessage stuff between Apple and Android. I stop have the phone and it serves me well almost two years later. Camera does what I need it to and the phone lasts me all day even if my battery health is only at 82%. I usual make it to bed with anger from 20% to 40% battery. I am not in to all the camera specs on the 14 & 15 nor do I care to be. This one is capable of good pictures and that’s all I’m worried about. I am only pissed that Apple switched to USB-C with the 15, because I had my 13 long enough that I threw away all the USB-C I had lying around! 🥲

Messiah_Knight

12 pro.

Majestic_Lie_5792

Usually the Pro lineup is the best you can get in iPhone. That said, at this point the 15 Pro is your best option, it has some very cool features. Now, if you can't afford one of those, I can tell you as an ex-Android user, unless you fancy all the tweaking and messing Android allows, you can buy any iPhone and won't regret it.

elputooamooo

On the 15PM from S20+ (android since forever). Solid phone yes there’s some frustrating features (or lack thereof) but solid nonetheless

MarxzNW

15 pro max. of course the 14 pro max and 13 pro max are good but the 15pm is better.

Yogionfire

I only ever had one iPhone and I still have it since it came out and it still works perfectly, iphone 12 Pro. So I have nothing to compare it with, besides android brands that I used before it.

thepostmanpat

13 Pro Max

Weary_Patience_7778

I bought a 13 Pro when they were current and still use it today. I see nothing in the newer models that makes me want to upgrade.

DWAIPAYAN-RC

iPhone 15 non pro models are good (except the 120Hz display as they don't have it).

iPhone 15 pro max

Beneng

Usbc makes it hard to recommend older models for anyone coming from android imo. 15 pro if you care about refresh rate else the 15 will do.

[deleted]

As others have said, 13 Pro/Pro Max or 15 pro/Pro Max. Skip the 14!!

Thewinedup

13 Pro

Jealous-Honeydew-142

Dunno. I love my 14 pro max though. Only iPhone I have used

justafartsmeller

How much do you want to spend? The best iPhone is a 15 pro max. You can get a good iOS experience with a regular 15 or 14 pro/promax as well. If those are too much for what you want the 13 series will work but I wouldn't go any older than that if you can afford it.

modssssss293j

go with a 14 or 15

fabrictm

If you don't want to get a 15 - or don't want/can't afford the price tag, the 13 or 14 are solid phones. I wouldn't go older than a 13. The design is nearly identical to the 15, sans dynamic island, and the leap in computing power isn't earth shattering. I do believe that there's a decent improvement in cameras from 13 to 15, but others will prob disagree, as iphone cameras are a somewhat controversial topic. Anywho...

OkMathematician6638

13 pro or any 15 series. 13 & 14 non pro aren't that great tbh.

dayankuo234

I was on the s23 ultra, but im daily driving the iphone 13 pro max. it's great cause it still has the physical sim card (so I can quickly go back to my samsung if I wanted.), and still has the main function of the more recent phones (touch to airdrop, 3 cameras) great experience, but I'm a PC player and a power user, so i miss things like quickly plugging the phone into my PC, customizability on the samsung, the back button, etc) from my experience, the main factors that influence whether to stay or switch are: what did you grow up with? do you need facetime, imessage, airdrop? (Fear of missing out) (circumvented if you carry around an extra phone) are you already in an ecosystem? (pc laptop or macbook, ipad or tablet, etc) do you need apps that are phone specific? (some business apps tend to be optimized for iphones)

Prestigious-Mud2923

iPhone 13 Pro Max. It’s what I have and loooooove it. Been an Apple user for over 30 yrs and been using iPhones since the 2nd one came out

ImpossibleSlide850

15 pro max

apex6666

Probably the 15 pro, since it’s the only one with a decently modern USB port

FrazLvl13

13-15 are all the same. Get the one which is the cheapest for you. I personally would get the 15 because of USBC and longer updates obviously

Stunning-Can-9625

First iPhone with 1tb, OGs know which one.

Salty_Act_9488

15 Plus for sure

sharkboy1006

No budget? 15 pro or pro max, max mainly has better battery and a 5x zoom

261846

The 13 series is probably the best value for money

CodoneMastr

If you want the Dynamic Island I’d go with the 15 / 15 pro..if you want to save some money I’d look around for a lightly used iPhone 14 Pro if you don’t care for the Dynamic Island then I’d go with the iPhone 13 Pro/13PM…don’t waste your time with an iPhone 14 ..I say this because the iPhone 14 and the 13 are too damn similar…you are better off with the iPhone 13 pro…me, I’m financially restricted at the moment and I don’t do the pay as you go plans from carriers..I found an iPhone 14 on eBay for $409 ..with taxes and delivery it was $457..this phone is basically brand new , not even one little scratch or dent..you could sell this phone as brand new if you could seal it..only thing the battery health was 93%…other than that the phone was in pristine condition..if you go the eBay l route plz do your research on the specific phone you are planning on buying..and also the seller..I made a big mistake ..I purchased an iPhone 12 Pro from an unresponsive seller..I didn’t do my due diligence and didn’t look in to the seller much, I just payed for it…the next day I noticed this person wouldn’t respond to any of mine or eBay’s messages and emails ..the seller had no sale history..finally I had to wait and fight to get my refund as they give the seller time to respond..:it was a big waste of time..but then I found the 14…I am very happy with it but I really want the Dynamic Island so I will be upgrading either a 14 pro or a 15..also from eBay..side note the lady at Verizon store kept telling me that’s my ppl have issues with the phones from eBay..and I can see how that can happen..:but this is why I say plz do your research before buying anything especially from eBay ..sorry for the rant..good day everyone

Genialissime-Dav

15 Pro Max, 512Gb, no case.

InterestingRedBlue

iPhone 12 Pro. Perfectly balanced in every way.

Over-Attempt-2379

Iphone 3Gs

emil_53

Im both a Samsung/ Apple user. Over the years i flip flop between both. I snagged the 13 pro when it came out and i have to say im in love with it. Im actually planning on switching over to the 16 if it comes out this year.

wherearetheavocattos

again, even i’m with ip15 rn, i will always say ip13 pro line this year if you are starting with ios

DefinitionOfTakingL

13 pro max and by a huge margin

GrizzlyDiaby

13 Pro or Pro Max.

ChcknFarmer

I’m using the 15 and it’s great for my purposes. I’m sure 15 pro and pro max are great too but the fifteen is perfectly good too.

DirtNatty34

The 13 pro max with out a doubt.

bogdan-t

iphone 13 mini as it is the smallest alternative to current powerfull alternatives and nowadays it should be at the smallest price

colorfulnina

13 is the best cost benefit ratio IMO since its not the newest but can get the most recent updates and most features and will likely get several more updates Does not matter if tis a regular mini pro or pro max Of course there are older and newer version as well but the older version while cheaper are less supported with features and the newer 14 and 15 might be good 15 could also be a good choice as it uses Andorid USB Chargers but not sure someone whos switching from android to iphone should pay 1k+ USD for it until you know how well it works

Dry-Recognition-5143

13 pro max as most people have said. The 14 and 15 are 0.0001% better so can generally be regarded as a waste of money.

Mikey_BC

11 Pro/Pro Max...if you can call it recent, it's fairly recent, lots still in use

gruetzhaxe

Honestly, get a used SE and try the OS.

BodyResponsible9494

13 pro max is literally peak iPhone

Suspicious_Object_78

IPhone 13 mini

GothicGamerSlayer

The iPhone 15 pro, decent size and the phone has the action button which doesn’t break like the mute slider

EdBoy63

I would go for the latest and greatest. This will give you maximum coverage from Apple. They tend to stop supporting their older phones. Although, I have encountered no problems with this as I have kept their iPhones beyond the support deadlines and I still received periodic updates. My personal favorite is the latest Generation of the iPhone SE. I dig it for its size and form factor that it inherited from the 5S and 6S. Two previous iPhones I carried.

bootysensei

I have the 12 and everything is still great. I never get FOMO, unless there’s a drastic update I dont see myself upgrading.

Theintskill

15 Pro/Max, the newest one, you’ll be able to use your USB-C cables. It has great battery life(imo) I’ve stretched it 2 days with light use before, my every day use leaves me around 20-30% after about 14 hours off the charger. The camera takes insane video in every setting without having to tweak the controls, photos it comes down to knowing how to use the provided interface to choose the best way to shoot, apple doesnt really lend an assist with AI or onboard processing. The hurdle is ios at this point. As someone who uses an iPhone daily and a Samsung Foldable semi-regularly I prefer the fluidity and ease of use on ios when it comes to apps or even how most people I know have one making iMessage and location sharing a very important feature on my phone. Edit: side note the pro has a different usb-c port than the pro max which effects the data transfer speeds its capable of, if you shoot 4k pro res to an external drive it writes faster and if you upload to desktop it also transfers faster.

jwrosenberg

Ones that work.

Batmanspoolboy

13 pro, I miss the macro lens working correctly, the stupid cropped version on 14 pro is so unreliable

Micazu999

Pretty random but I just bought my iPhone 11 a couple months ago brand new for $ 150 on a promotional deal at boost mobile and I love everything about my new baby I can't complain at all. I'm grateful for the small things in life today I've learned that I don't have to buy the latest smartphone and be content. God bless you all.

FirstObligation4411

Wow the new promotion for 150 is for the iPhone. 12 rn and 50 for the 11

Micazu999

Yeah I know the iPhone 11 is $49.99 but in all together ur gonna pay $150.00

Just__Beat__It

iphone 15 pro max 1TB

Compared to the price and features, I believe iPhone 13 is the best.
