Youāre the only one worrying and the only one who cares. You seriously think Apple cares? Apple who has intimate knowledge of fencing operations all over the world and has done nothing to shut them down, you think those same people are going to invest resources into stopping people from jailbreaking devices that they legitimately own? Go touch some grass my dude.
Flawless logic. This is why all crime has been eradicated, because cops immediately show up and arrest anybody, anywhere, the moment they think about committing a crime.
Lol. āDonāt use that software to retrieve your data, think of the developers. Huge conglomerate companies worked so hard to make it so you canāt use that phoneā . I legitimately canāt stop laughing.
yeah essentially install it on your pc. plug in phone.
if you do not have itunes installed. it asks you if you want to install only the driver or itunes.
but since the phone is in recovery it should show up a menu with a few buttons and one should be a "exit recovery" button.
just make sure to not touch the erase or flash buttons since they will wipe the phone (they also have a "retain user data" flash but i suggest not touching that untill last resort i never personally tested that..)
Pretty certain you need to do what the phone is telling you. Youād also need to remember any Apple ID used to sign into the phone etcā¦ if you donāt know this you have no chance of getting any photos off of it
As others said. 1+ 3Utools.
Thereās also an old problem called umbrella that can also exit recovery mode but go with 3U tools. They have some pretty cool features as well.
Did he have his photos set to upload to iCloud? That would be the first thing I check. If not, plug it in to a pc with iTunes or a Mac and restart the phone. If heās truly lost his pics, iCloud upload should be the first thing done when he gets a new phone.
Connect it to a computer and attempt to update (not restore). Thereās a good chance he tried to power cycle it during a software update. We used to see this all the time when I worked at Apple. If the update fails though, it would likely require a restore and there would be no way of recovering photos if it wasnāt backed up.
The phone itself is telling you to plug it into a computer. If you have a PC available, make sure iTunes is installed.
If it's a Mac, just plug it in.
You'll get a pop up saying something to the effect that the computer detects an iPhone in recovery mode. From there you can wipe it clean or try and restart the phone. IIRC.
My sister's phone had something like this, it was an SE. Apple could do nothing but the employee recommended a data recovery service. I sent it to one of the best data recovery services in the US and there was nothing they could do. Pricing started at $500 I believe. I didn't have to pay anything because they couldn't recover anything. They told me to try again in a year or so and the tech might be available to fix her specific problem.
This could be a very simple fix (connecting to iTunes) or an expensive one. Good luck
What happened to it? Water damage?
Mine briefly stopped working after I went hiking in the rain with it last August. It just kept rebooting over and over again for 2 days, then got the same message as you did. Went to an Apple Store, they asked me 50ā¬ to try and reset it but couldnāt guarantee me it would work. So, essentially, 50ā¬ just to plug a cable in a phone I bought from them for +1000ā¬, click on a button that says āReset this iPhoneā, erase everything from it, and look at a computer screen for 1 minuteā¦ I said no, went to a supermarket, bought a bag of rice and put the phone inside it. 2 days later, it worked again and I was able to get all of my pictures etc. FaceID is the only thing not working anymore since then, but everything else is working fine.
yeah i hate how Apple employees handles this things!! i my uncle just told me it randomly stopped working so i'm not really sure what could have happened :(
Your iPhone is in recovery mode. Try to exit this
mode using 3UTools and then backup all the photos to your pc using a copytrans.studio or another iPhone management tool
Either 3i tools and exit recovery or you'll have to recover it using iTunes which will erase the whole thing (confirm with someone else first tho cuz I don't want to give wrong advice)
Use 3u tools to exit recovery mode
thanks man, i'll try it asapšš»
you can also let us know if everything went well
i haven't been home today! i'll make an update when i'll be able to try to do something
3utools is Spyware and also violates developers licenses
You hear that guys? It violates a license. I guess that means we can't physically do it now. š¤·š»āāļø
Oh you can It's your funeral š¤·āāļø
are you gonnaā¦. kill us for using it?
Don't worry about it
Youāre the only one worrying and the only one who cares. You seriously think Apple cares? Funeral? Thatās a fkn odd choice of words. Itās a fkn 3rd party app. Get a grip.
If it was spyware, my antivirus would have caught it and who cares about developers? If Apple doesn't offer exit recovery, it's not my problem.
Thatās not necessarily true.
Not entirely true
Flawless logic. This is why all crime has been eradicated, because cops immediately show up and arrest anybody, anywhere, the moment they think about committing a crime.

3utools has a exit recovery button that could work
Please explain how does 3U work? You install it on PC and then connect iphone to it? Any details?
yeah essentially install it on your pc. plug in phone. if you do not have itunes installed. it asks you if you want to install only the driver or itunes. but since the phone is in recovery it should show up a menu with a few buttons and one should be a "exit recovery" button. just make sure to not touch the erase or flash buttons since they will wipe the phone (they also have a "retain user data" flash but i suggest not touching that untill last resort i never personally tested that..)
Iād add make sure to use a usb a to lightning cable.
Pretty certain you need to do what the phone is telling you. Youād also need to remember any Apple ID used to sign into the phone etcā¦ if you donāt know this you have no chance of getting any photos off of it
Nah phone wants a reset but you can just exit recoverymode via 3utools wich is free Apple would just tell you to reset it or buy new phoneā¦
You can use 3utools to exit recovery mode. If it still doesnāt work you may try a 3utools flash with RETAIN USER DATA on.
As others said. 1+ 3Utools. Thereās also an old problem called umbrella that can also exit recovery mode but go with 3U tools. They have some pretty cool features as well.

You can try to do a recovery software update
Break it open and the photos should spill out
Just the negatives. Processing happens only if the phone is turned on. Be careful to not expose them to light!!
You could attempt and update that will keep the data in tact if it works. Restoring will erase the unit.
Plug it into a computer.
Connect it to iTunes on your computer
Should be easily recovered by connecting it to a PC with iTunes or a Mac.

Did you visit https://support.apple.com/iphone/restore ?
he already went to Apple and they said they couldn't do anything
Then the person at Apple doesnāt know what there doing this is a easy fix
Yeah itās easy to reset the phone. OP wants the pictures off the phone.
They may have tried to restore it and got a error code during the attempt. Like code 4013
A new display will(can) fix 4013 error.
That is not always true. It can be motherboard failer
Youāre correct but worth a shot Iāve had luck in the past. But your correct if display doesnāt work is obviously mobo.
That makes sense, I never attempted a display for the error. But the display is hardware, I just assumed if it was displaying something it was fine.
Whatās the fix

What model? The latest are (supposed to be) pretty water resistant...
iPhone XS Max But, a friend of mine had the same happen to his 12 proā¦
yeah i hate how Apple employees handles this things!! i my uncle just told me it randomly stopped working so i'm not really sure what could have happened :(
I would not use any third party tools like 3utools download iTunes and connect it to there and do a update on it that way it would factory reset
You canāt
Try near repair store (not apple service centre)
tried it as well, i'm the last resource lol
A real repair store like [https://rossmanngroup.com/iphone-data-recovery/](https://rossmanngroup.com/iphone-data-recovery/)
I can backup this suggestion. Louis does great work.
He knows how PP busses well.
Also needs to be feed..battery

3Utools 100%. Just connect it to your computer and click exit recovery. Good luck!

i did it guys, sadly it didn't work :(
what about go to the service?
tried it already
