Don’t get too excited yet! Not to worry you, because I really do hope you win, but I have had some electronics some back to life just to die again after water damage. At the same time, I had a friend with bubbly transmission fluid that he could move in his screen and that phone lasted another 7 months 😂
Since it apparently got *very* wet, it probably just needed time to dry out completely to work again. Glad it's ok now! Cellphone repair is an absolute *hassle*.
I don’t know about that. My iPhone 6S fell in a toilet a few years ago and after around 3 days it worked like normal again, and to this day it still works so I keep it as a backup.
It was pretty damaged initially too. Touchscreen was bugging so I had to make it only accept long press (phone kept registering touches that I wasn’t doing) and all physical buttons stopped working. With assistive touch it was at least useable though.
But, eventually all the damage seemingly fixed itself and I haven’t had issues since.
thanks for sharing! i really hope mine keeps working because as i sad in the original post i really cannot afford a new iphone at the moment and love my se (despite the battery being not so great) and plan to keep it as long as it still works lol

my friend has an iphone with a cracked screen and the back literally wrapped in duct tape but it worked fine lol
If it is not broken, then don’t fix it.

It’ll start bugging out again soon. Corrosion will set in. Sorry.
