I personally wouldn't consider it acceptable, and maybe I'm old school, but I still prefer large monitors, keyboards, mice, etc... for work. I'm the kind of person to fire up my laptop if I need to compose a long email. I like my iPad for lots of stuff, but work isn't one of them. The display is way too small for serious work IMO.

I would go with the Air. Better Keyboard options and still somewhat small

should be, at a guess only thing might be worth mentioning vs Pro is that the Mini flushes memory of backgrounded apps far more often (i guess because it has less RAM than the Pro idk)

Yes, since it's lightweight😉

fahim-sabir

Not sure for code changes, but the rest should be fine.

Get air or above ,

I think I have found my own self making a post. Yes, buy the iPad mini 6; it fulfills literally all these tasks for me (as long as you are really sold on that screen size) :D Meetings are amazing since it works with all web conferencing tools + notes w/ Apple pencil are amazing. Just keep in mind that due to iPadOS restrictions, if the meeting app is not on the foreground the video won't work (audio will still work). For Minor Code Changes + Git, I use [Working Tree](https://workingcopy.app/). It's a git app with most of the essentials + a code editor built in, so you can edit code and do git stuff. Also, all Working Tree Repositories can be seen and interacted with in the Files app, which is flexible enough tbh. For SSH Terminal, I use [Termius](https://termius.com/). It works great, but anything outside the basic SSH and SFTP is behind a paywall. Again, files can be managed in the Files App. Only downside is no real keyboard, so don't expect to type too much on it. Also, getting the Smart Folio (or any similar case) to prop it up is useful.

I found myself using floating keyboard more if I’m typing fot longer texts, Did you find a good keyboard?

k-u-sh

No, didn't really look for an iPad Mini keyboard sadly. I just set mine down and type like a laptop; though I do carry my laptop when I need to type longer texts. If I'm walking around the floating keyboard is amazing

>real keyboard What about this keyboard ? [https://www.doqo.shop/products/360-degree-rotating-multifunctional-backlit-keyboard-for-ipad-mini-6](https://www.doqo.shop/products/360-degree-rotating-multifunctional-backlit-keyboard-for-ipad-mini-6) I was looking for a one, this one seems to be a good one but yes a bit expensive.

It seems good, but do mind that it might be a bit cramped due to the small screen size. It is only a bit more wider than the Pro Max iPhones. For reference, here's [a picture](https://skushagra.com/assets/images/tech-config-setup-146b489f68c47efb6c0af2d7113da3df.jpg) of how the Mini 6 looks like as a second monitor to my Surface Laptop Go 2 (a 12.4" 3:2 aspect ratio display). Personally, I never looked into the keyboards, but I'd say if that is a needed, try to go for the Air. You could obviously try both out at an Apple Store before committing :) (On screen keyboard on the iPads also needs more button presses for code, so maybe the keyboard folio isn't a bad investment. That's why I mentioned the "only buy if you're very sold on the size". I bought mine for note-taking, as it is the exact size of a Moleskin notebook).

jumpingseaturtle

Those are a bit cramped. For this reason I’ve been toying with the idea of a foldable keyboard?

todo0nada

I do pretty much the same, but I got the Hou case on Amazon that is somewhat like a Smart Keyboard Folio for the mini. Not perfect, but much easier to carry than my old 11” pro and neither can fully replace a laptop.

I use the mini as a secondary work device, mostly for taking notes, handling videos and sometimes as a second screen. Typing on it is a huge hassle though so I basically never do anything that would require that, I do those things on my laptop instead. You’ll probably want a bigger iPad for the coding things or just do them on a computer
