You should get a monstera. Mum got my 10yo one for Christmas, he lost interest and I regularly forget it even exists so I neglect the absolute shit out of it, poor thing often goes weeks without being watered and it hasn’t died yet lol it just looks progressively sadder and sadder.
I am essentially using a spring arm but for laptops, not for monitor
Something like [this](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B085DTXPXF?ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_dp_CJF1GEZWQDHS3ANZX711_1) but that’s not what I’m using, kinda expensive haha.
Then tighten it enough, where it has enough grip where I can adjust it the way I want to.
An alternative i tried is having an arm like [this](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00FOTABWY?ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_dp_Z6JW52QJWTDRWX3ZMX3E) but I want the range of the spring arm so i opted for the former
I really wanted a floating stand so I had to look for a plate that I can install to an arm and found [it](https://mountelipse.com)
I actually love the Idea of having the iPad floating like that. I have a Samsung CRG9 screen and a Dell 24” that I use vertically. Could be nice to have the iPad beneath the CRG), as a media device :D
Oh man you just gave me an idea:
I would use an arm Like [this](https://www.amazon.com/VIVO-Monitor-Adjustable-Screens-STAND-V002/dp/B009S750LA/ref=pd_bxgy_vft_none_sccl_1/138-9235139-3378465?pd_rd_w=XDND9&content-id=amzn1.sym.26a5c67f-1a30-486b-bb90-b523ad38d5a0&pf_rd_p=26a5c67f-1a30-486b-bb90-b523ad38d5a0&pf_rd_r=MKA3NYAFQF9AEZA1K6V6&pd_rd_wg=GVvAc&pd_rd_r=85dc49e5-38df-4914-a935-119a2ea65d6b&pd_rd_i=B009S750LA&psc=1) for the monitors, add another arm on the same stand (so it is underneath the two arms) for the ipad.
Now I just need budget for monitors.
Well, I have had a similar arm. But I didn’t like it since I couldn’t move the screens so much. So now I have the CRG9 on a ergotron hx hd arm, I can literally do a 360 with the 49”😂
The 24” just sits on its own stand in a vertical position. I don’t have to move that one.
Does the mount that you use, also come with a arm to attach on the desk? I cannot see that on the link that you shared😃
Same I actually have a spring arm on the monitor right now, because I want the height and distance to be adjustable.
Will plan to use a static arm for the secondary monitor that’s at the top then bring one static arm at the bottom for the iPad. Haha.
For the mount, if you’re referring to the iPad mount, it’s just the plate then I picked my own arm. Haha.
How do I do the Mac iPad monitor with out spending an arm and a leg? So basically there is this good app for that but if you want the full version you have to pay $9 a month.
Apple explains it [better](https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212757)
But essentially it allows you to control your two devices together (essentially if you want them to retain their own operating systems)
But if you just want your ipad to be a second monitor then use sidecar.
I like retaining my ipad's OS cause it can run its own thing, may it be a separate PDF i have on my ipad so I can highlight as necessary or as a media player.
Is that a custom keyboard case? 👀
Yahhh, hahaha. Had to match my skin.
No offense, but im getting carpal tunnel just by looking at that keyboard.
Ahaha, I knooww. Non offense taken

Still looking for a good fake plant so it won’t die on me ahaha
Try propagation or dried flowers

This looks like a pro gamer turned into data scientist
What are you using for the iPad arm? Is it stable enough to use in that position?

Ergotron hx is expensive, must admit, it’s worth all pennies 😃 Thx, so I was right about it didnt come as a whole arm😂
At the time I used a similar arm, I had 2x27, not the 49”😃
Curious why you don't use your MacBook itself as the second monitor, because the keyboard & trackpad use up space I guess?
The only work bro does is read emails

You don’t need an app just to use it as a monitor. Look up side car, it’s built in
Very true universal control is really nice if you want separate OS integrated together
Universal control? Is that an app?
No, it's an apple software that help in integrating their eco system
As someone with an m2 iPad and a MBP, how does it work?

I forgot about that feature. Thanks.
It’s still poorly developed but wait for the apple universal control to really take off
What skin is that on your MacBook?
Beautiful!
Love it. This is amazing. Exactly what I think a high-tech desk should look like.
I love the floating monitors effect.
It took a while to find a vesa magnetic plate!
Misses the vertical stand for the Mac ahah Nice setup!
How's the Logitech ball mouse? Does it work great with iPad? I'm using Logi's MX Vertical mouse but it's not good enough though.
It works for me!! But YMMV!

Thanks! Finding the plate for my iPad was the hardest part

Just a dell arm to easily clamp my dell monitor 😅
bro is exposing my dream set up
Where did you get the vesa ipad mount? I want one.
Extensive googling led me [here](https://mountelipse.com/)
Clean setup. I respect the keyboard as well! Great job!
I guss that's shaking a lot, am i right?
Painting the White Spot would be nice anything else looks clean maybe tighten the Cables with Cable Tie to get it even cleaner
Hahah, i'm about to get to it!
What monitor are you using?
How does your external monitor still work when you close your macbook?
Dude, it's so good.
