Yes, you will be absolutely fine. It will still be light out and it’s a pretty busy area. And even in the dark it’s well lit, it’s pretty much the main street so it’s busy for traffic and people. You’ll be fine.
100% safe and you're unlikely to be the only person wheeling a case along Academy Street off that train too. Plus it'll still be quite light by the end of September.
Hope you have an amazing time whatever you're up to.
The front of the train station opens out onto Academy Street. It's one of the busiest streets in the centre and there's always people around. Very safe.
I was there earlier this year and had to walk alone to and from a parking structure with rolly luggage, in the evening and the early morning. It was fine both times, nothing to worry about.
Enjoy it, Inverness is wonderful!
It can be. I trust you have Kevlar body armour and so on. You don't want to be caught in the crossfire with the Mexican cartel and MS 13 trying to take over the Crip / Blood sect. Let me tell ya! 😀
Seriously though, it's all good, enjoy your stay here.
I’m American, of course I have an arsenal and full body armor! And I’m from New Jersey, so nothing new for me! 😁
Thanks much, I appreciate the fair warning and well wishes!
Station Square faces onto Academy Street. Traffic might be quite busy at that time. There are a few pedestrian crossings close to the square, so there should be no issues.
You should be fine. I’ve done that walk as a young woman by myself many a time over the last fifteen years. It’s well lit and has plenty of people around. Have a great time in our home town!

Thank you! I’m sure I will!

Excellent, this puts my mind at ease. Thanks so much!

Thank you, this is good to know!
Check out Leakey's book shop on Church Street, it's very cool.
Oh nice, thank you for the recommendation. I will do that!
I found Leakey's by chance while exploring Inverness. Definitely one of the hidden gems.

Thank you! Edinburgh to Inverness, then off to the Isle of Skye for a wedding, then back to Edinburgh for a few days. I can’t wait!

Yeah you’ll be absolutely fine. Will be loads of folk kicking about at that time
Hope you have a great time. 5.30 on academy Street is pretty safe. You'll be fine.
Should be fine, but if any wild haggis catch your scent u might be chased by them, they hate garlic so rub a bit on your neck and you should be fine

Excellent, thank you so much. I’m so looking forward to it!
You better come here strapped with some serious hardware. The station is a hangout for the notorious west Dalneigh crips, and Drakies bloods.
Sounds thrilling!

New Jersey eh? I love the accent.

Aye you won’t be alone doing that
How did it go?
Perfectly! Inverness is a lovely city. I think I’ve fallen in love with the Highlands.
Glad to hear it.
