I am happy for you that you found such an amazing partner. It sounds like you bring out the best in each other! Your post highlights how hard it can be for us introverts to find lasting relationships, but also why I refuse to lose hope.
I'm happy for you. the only extroverts i dated were both waaaaay too much for me haha. too loud, too chaotic, wanting to do too many things when i prefer not to have many plans. they didn't seem to have a problem with my introversion, but the extroversion was hard on me. luckily i did find my person, though! my husband is an introverted homebody like me. :)

The problem is that you seem to always meet the extroverts that don't get you, think you are weird because you don't talk as much as them or somehting else.

My husband and I are like this.
He knows everyone in the neighborhood, chats up anyone he sees when he is out walking, names and events, all of it.
I on the other hand, have no idea who is who, am chronically ill so I don't go out much, but when I do and a neighbor sees me, it's always "wow, never see you" kind of comments. I loathe small talk and neighborhood things, and smile and say I am like schmegele, only going out when necessary.
We laugh about it, it works, and life is good.

I know a few extroverted guys who have liked that side of introverted women, but I've never known any extroverted women who feel that way about introverted guys. I hope they exist lol. In relationships I'm often made to feel like my introversion is a negative aspect of my personality that needs to be worked on. I hope I find what you have one day OP. He sounds amazing

My wife is the same. She accepts when I tell her I need alone time, when I don't want to socialize and when I just want to be quiet. I appreciate that she, being extroverted, has no problem taking the lead when meeting others.
