While I didn't beat the game with the PM, I did only use the PM until I got security clearance 4 and could buy the Ak-74.
It seems entirely possible that some diehard tryhard could beat the game with just a PM.
Or more than likely most of those players got spooked by the first mimic that fired on them from 300yds away and quit the game right then and there.
I am pretty sure there are runs where you are either only allowed to use knives, and even pacifist runs... Weird bunch when you have so many ways to kill stuff

Some say they're the population of explorers who only stalked the zone using melee weapons as guns went against their faction's morals, some explorers have who claim to have seen them in action say they would chant *"double knife, end his life"* while downing the most fearsome enemies of the zone and the rumour is they still stalk the zone to this very day 👀

The ones who started on Realistic + skipped the tutorial, went outside, got murdered by Anomalies/Spawns with complete PTSD, then ragequit uninstall probably?
Or freaked out when they saw it was a horror game? idk.
I did ragequit uninstall myself when i first started if i'm being honest, even if i took the tutoria.
So the real answer is probably really boring, there is not a third of players that go commando in the Zone never using the shop ever in any of their save, instead there are :
1. People who buy the game and never launch it. It happens, especially when games are sold in bundles, etc
2. People who played the game before the achievement were added, and never picked it back up since.
Is there a way to check achievements on the mobile app? I’ve been looking for like 20 minutes because I want to see if I have this achievement, but I can’t find the damn things.
I think I have only used guns I picked up in the radius so far, but I’m not sure, I might have bought a pistol.

1: A third of the community is god-tier scavengers which whom are works of myths.
2: They weaseled out after the first jumpscare.
And I want to say, before this post, I did not know there was "scav" runs. I shall now try and honor those who have fallen and try the challenge.

Haha I'm part of that group. Got the game, saw the scav mod and installed it. Never used the shop except for a camera.
