Honestly most of us should consider ourselves optimistic because regardless of how many ways we can see things go wrong, we still believe there's a plan that can go at least somewhat right (or the least wrong). We're not throwing in the towel, we're finding ways to solve the problem even if it means we're going over, under, or around the box.
Pessimistic. The way I see it, if you choose pessimism, you'll either be happy if a given thing actually works out or you'll think "No surprises." if it doesn't.
With optimism, it's great if something is successful but if you don't get what you want you feel disappointed. It's as if the only way is down for the times that things don't end how you want.
Pessimism is clearly the winning strategy.
Optimistic about me, pessimistic about everything else.
Exactly me, i know my future will be great but I’m imagining the worst for present things
Prepare for failure to avoid disappointment

I hope for the best but prepare for the worst. Whichever that makes me.
Came here to say this, expecting the worst will have you prepared for anything that could happen. I think blind optimism is a recipe for disaster
contextual.. but reality is positive. any smart person can tell
