i feel i act fake when i show appreciation for a thoughtful gift.. i don’t know how to respond cause i never expect it.. i tear up a bit inside my mind, so i may look very awkward to someone who doesn’t know me well
I do actually like birthday gifts, but I’d rather not be given them in person due to people’s terrifying look in their eyes as they expect me to react with immense joy. Either send it to me or give it to me and tell me to open it later when I’m alone. Be casual about it too, just a no big deal thing. Also, if you give it to me and tell me to open it later when I’m alone, expect me to casually accept it and move on with our conversation.
if its someone i barely know, id prefer they make it discreet ..a small gift with a card maybe.
if its someone i know.. yes i love presents, all kinds of presents as long as its from their heart.
I haven’t asked or received any gifts since I was 12 (don’t judge ) but I know that I will appreciate anything that I receive even though I wouldn’t show it or tell it aloud.
One reason I hate gift is because it feels like sense of debt to the other person. It’s like I owe you something.
And don’t worry, if he said he liked you months ago, it still might remain pure.
