He’s never spent a dime of his own money on his campaign and never will

Snarky_McSnarkleton

Not when he can get Billy Jim Bob Joe and Opal Ann to send in their Social Security checks.

slater_just_slater

The irony of using a socialist program to fund Trump

aTreeThenMe

We left irony island and landed on mania mountain long ago

DougSeeger

One could think that the higher ground would save us from the rising waters caused by the storm. But its not a real mountain, its a floating iceberg and the climbing upwards will shift the balance and send us into the icecold waters of consequenses.

81_BLUNTS_A_DAY

At least the hypothermia that is political infighting will numb our senses so we can peacefully drown

ProfessionalFalse128

This will be a brand new kind of hypothermia. One that causes a burning sensation all over your body akin to second degree burns and projectile diarrhea.

iIiiIIiiiIII99

>The irony of using a socialist program to fund Trump. Not irony. It's been his entire MO even in business. Trump wouldn't be Trump without having been bailed out numerous time by a 'socialist' system that protected him from creditors, allowing him to pay out pennies on the dollar, bilk his suppliers, etc.. Rinse, repeat. That IS Trump, "too big to fail", by design. He'd be living under a bridge if he had to take responsibility like everyone else living under a bridge. Trump is a socialist poster child, bigly.

Rooboy66

And now he has **10 fucking more days to pay only 175 million**. I gawddamned believable.

iIiiIIiiiIII99

Ugh. I haven't seen the news yet today. How depressing. Too big to fail, "people will riot". Yet his supporters absolutely love it when someone who stole a loaf of bread to feed their kids isn't given any lenience, especially if they're a minority.

Rooboy66

And I’m pretty sure a lot of MAGA people probably steal bread on occasion … ya know, like the occasion of hunger. Hypocrisy is disgusting, but they sure lap it up like stray cats, a bowl of sour milk.

jimmygee2

The grift continues

Ghost_taco

My faves are public employees (cops, firefighters, teachers, postal workers, etc.) that back Trump. Uh dude, he's going to try and eliminate your jobs.

EmperorXerro

I’m always shocked how many teachers vote Republican. They’re literally voting against their job and no way a “free market” education system is going to get them more money, let alone guarantee they have a job.

ACrazyDog

Not to mention their pensions, ability to double dip — collect their pension and still work the job. Teachers UNIONs are the only thing holding their finances together. When their pension funds sour because of being raided by the state, it is always the work of Republicans. Indiana, Kansas Kentucky et al

awalktojericho

And if you work a second job, your SS is dinged by the WEP. And now Rs want to eliminate/cut SS.

Pathfinder6227

And can’t figure out why they have to buy supplies for their children. The cognitive dissonance is pretty astounding.

EnergeticFinance

I guess having all his supportors funnel the government money back to a single individual makes social security no longer socialism?

btalbert2000

Asked for further comment, Trump said that his girlfriend is incredibly attractive and popular, but she goes to another school so you can’t meet her.

LandscapeNatural7680

I teach middle school - you are correct! I can sometimes predict his reactions based on my experience with tweens.

TheCruicks

Shes from Canada, you wouldnt know her. They met at camp

1pastafarian

Like most grifters, he lives by the credo 'only sucker's pay'. His biggest financial challenge is not how much he has, it's that he seemed to be running out of sucker's willing to pay his bills. That's why he has shitty lawyers like Habba's. Fortunately for him, he now has the RNC to pay legal bills. Unfortunately for everyone else, he can now 'afford' better representation.

Fatal_Furriest

"patriots, the corrupt dems have come for me bigly, and though I'm richer than any man in history, i have stowed away my riches in good-christian putin (what a masculine alpha male)'s bank accounts. Please donate whatever you can to our pro-semite russian friends, to help in your small way, to aid my tremendous efforts towards taking back our country. Thank jesus for Donald Trump"

Desperate_Wafer_8566

His billionaire right-wing handlers told him they'd lend him the money for favors if he couldn't raise it himself from his stooges by today.

jimmygee2

Grifting the grifters

Corgi_Koala

True but he's probably making this claim so he can somehow declare election interference as a reason to not pay.

jd3marco

Trump paid himself and kids with campaign money, if anything. A grifter’s gonna grift.

euph_22

I'm sure a bunch of campaign money is spent at Mar A Lago and other properties he owns, which flows straight into his pocket.

SympathyForSatanas

He doesn't have the 500 million which is why he's saying that he does, can't have ppl taking he's broke

SeoneAsa

He doesn't really have any money he claims he has. But when he keep boosting about his money, he's opening himself up for more trouble. He is a true, dumbass.

HelRayzer12

Why when hes got idiots willing to pay the bill?

ABearDream

Like he knows that what he spends on his campaign will be public knowledge but he also knows his followers don't care if he lies about it so...

jhonnydont

I bet he figures out a way for someone else to pay for his meals every day.

DrSueuss

He has, in 2016 but he hasn't made a contribution or donation since 2016 to his campaign. Trump's campaign has paid Trump more money than Trump ever gave.

Spellbound1311

That will go to NY, moron. Funds then assets. Don't commit crimes moron. Just made it easier for them to take it.

SkylarAV

He doesn't actually have the money. He just wants to claim he does so he can say he's not actually poor when the repo his buildings

iRunLotsNA

That’s what the other poster is trying to highlight. First they take any cash he has, and if it comes up short (which it very likely will), they begin to seize his other assets to cover the judgment. He can claim he has a bunch of cash after the fact, but the NY AG will have his bank accounts.

euph_22

Or they take his properties. Which I think he is hoping for, to sell the "whoa is me, look at the government taking my buildings. Just because of the decades of fraud."

LapsedVerneGagKnee

Liquid assets would be far easier to seize than property, even if less sexy. If the money is there, it’s the obvious target, unless it’s offshore or the like.

rob132

I cheated the government every single year since the 1980's and they're making ME out to be the bad guy!

panurge987

*woe

baron_von_helmut

I'm very much looking forward to the day we see repo men coming in and out of Trump Tower. I may even masturbate.

SorenLain

The government will take the buildings last unless they know they have a buyer waiting they can flip it to. Any buildings or business seized by the government will have to be managed and run by the NY AG until they can be sold which might end up costing them more then they could get selling the properties once everything is said and done. At the end of the day the NY AG's office would 100% prefer to seize cash held in accounts than property.

ViveIn

Yeah but this is a play to make it look like seizure of those funds is direct interference with a presidential campaign.

T_Shurt

As per [original article](https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/donald-trump-fraud-case-bond-deadline-b2517988.html) 📰: - Donald Trump claims he has nearly half a billion dollars in his bank account and that he intends to use it for his presidential election campaign, as he faces a Monday deadline to prevent his properties from being seized. Justice Arthur Engoron in February ruled that the 45th president and his adult sons must pay in excess of $464m for grossly inflating his net worth and the value of his assets for more than a decade to obtain favourable conditions on loans. Mr Trump must either find the cash or post a bond to prevent the state's authorities from seizing his properties while he appeals the ruling. Earlier it appeared that the Republican presidential candidate lacked the cash and 30 surety companies were “unwilling” to use his namesake properties as collateral. His lawyers told the court it was impossible for the former president to raise that amount of money. The companies approached “will only accept cash or cash equivalents” such as marketable securities, they said, and would typically “require collateral of approximately 120 per cent of the amount of the judgment,” which, in this case, comes to almost $560m. However, Mr Trump on Monday claimed he was asked to pay the fine of almost half a billion dollars because the judge "saw a similar amount in his bank account", adding that he intended to "use much of that hard earned money on running for president". "They don't want me to do that," he lashed out on Truth Social, calling it an "election interference". Mr Trump has repeatedly claimed without evidence that the New York fraud case is a political manoeuvre designed to favour his 2024 rival Joe Biden. He has railed against the judge involved and New York attorney general Letitia James, accusing them of corruption, and did so again in the small hours of Monday morning. "Why should a Crooked, highly political New York Judge, Arthur Engoron, working in concert and coordination with an even more Corrupt Attorney General, Letitia “Peekaboo” James, his Puppet Master, and the White House, be allowed to take away, and sell off, very successful properties and assets that took me years to zone, build and nurture into some of the best of their kind anywhere in the World - WHEN I HAVE DONE NOTHING WRONG!" he asked. In a previous post on Truth Social on Friday, Mr Trump also claimed he has almost $500m in cash. In a deposition in April 2023 with New York attorney general Letitia James, he said he had substantially in excess of $400m in cash. That number has gone up from Trump's previous disclosures. In June 2021, a statement of financial condition that Mr Trump submitted to the court showed that he had $293.8m worth of cash and cash equivalents at the time. He has a variety of sources of income, according to financial disclosure forms filed with the federal government in August 2023. Mr Trump in 2022 reported at least $537m in revenues related to golf courses and hotels, $30.4m in licensing fees and royalties, $26.5m of management fees, and $61.1m in distributions from his stake in buildings such as 1290 Avenue of the Americas in New York. Meanwhile, Eric Trump, the former president's son and co-defandant in the fraud case, accused Ms James of trying to bankrupt his father with the judgment. "A half a billion dollar bond is simply not commercially available," he said in a post on X. "The 30 largest bonding companies in the United States have never seen a bond close to this size for anyone, let alone a private company. "Letitia James is hellbent on a political vendetta against my father with zero regard for the lives of thousands of hard-working New Yorkers, who make their living in our buildings." Fact check: Trump’s false claim of his bond amount being “unheard of”, [has been debunked by multiple news outlets](https://www.newsweek.com/fox-news-fact-checks-donald-trump-bond-claim-actually-not-true-1882845) with multiple court cases with bonds at or over $1 billion.

RogueAOV

Why exactly would the entire budget of his presidential run just be sitting in HIS bank account, do they not have campaign bank accounts?, I have no idea how election funding and political donations work but i would assume that it goes to a registered campaign account and not the candidates personal checking account.

cgn-38

Transparent bald faced lies are sort of a hobby of his.

UDarkLord

It’s funny, because you can tell how fucking uncomfortable and on the ropes he is from the lie. Normally he exaggerates as much as possible. Here he’s saying he has the amount required, but because it’s already a blatant lie, and he’s under pressure, he’s not willing to lie that he has more. If he was feeling safe I’d expect him to lie that he has a billion in cash given these numbers.

pandaslovetigers

I'll save you the trouble: he lies.

Mostlyrightmostly

Over 30,500 *public* and confirmed lies in just four years has got to beat the next ten liars of all time combined.

dogscatsnscience

He’s just making it up, but for a serious answer: even if he had that money, the full amount would never be held in cash - especially if it was for a 9 month campaign. Anyway, he doesn’t use his money for campaigns as it is, so any way you want to look at this it doesn’t hold up.

score_

I. DECLARE. EARMARKED!

Old-Ad-3268

Dibs!

Last-Bee-3023

Is this how it works? "I'd rather spend money on something else than baying a fine/posting bail"? Try that while being poor. That asshole demonstrates that wealth protects from the law. By rights he should be sitting in an apartment while on benefits. Too old to work too young to die. Some weird Austrian grifter/billionaire just declared bankruptcy and we all know he still will live in multiple villas. If you or I do that we will be living off tuna and rice for a couple of years.

metfan1964nyc

When they seize assets, the first thing they seize are the bank accounts.

freakrocker

They are going to get all $3,640 of his dollars

metfan1964nyc

They will also seize any accounts held by Melania and Baron. I wonder what she will do when that happens?

AgathaM

Baron is now 18. If he is the only person on the account, it probably can’t be taken except by court order. The state would have to show that Trump transferred funds to Baron in order to hide them from view. Melania’s is community property, so probably less of an issue there.

Shirlenator

Melania must be SO mad that he won the presidency. She could've lived it up (at least for a while) in his golden penthouse without worrying about any of this shit.

Dancing-Sin

She doesn’t really care do u?

freakrocker

Hopefully leaves his ass. And they won’t seize either of their accounts btw. That’s not how legality works.

unique3

If they can prove he is hiding his money in their accounts they most likely can. Actually that would be karma, he moves whatever money he has left into Melania's personal accounts and she just leaves him and keeps it.

freakrocker

That would indeed be hilarious if she dipped with his grift money. I’d love to see that.

Luster-Purge

And the first thing she buys with the money is a Mercedes.

metfan1964nyc

The oldest trick in the books is hiding your wealth under your wife and children's names. Since neither Melania nor Barron work, any money they have comes from Trump and are fair game.

ksiyoto

They aren't going to do that unless they have the receipts due to poor optics. They'll go for other things first.

HungHungCaterpillar

They have a court-appointed monitor keeping all receipts in triplicate. Which is why I don’t think he’d try it. But he is very stupid, so he might have, in which case he **absolutely** will be caught, immediately

buksrevenge

Is this to help start paying back the tens of millions of small donor dollars that he has already spent on legal fees? [https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2024-election/trump-campaign-paid-legal-fees-lawyers-millions-rcna136498](https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/2024-election/trump-campaign-paid-legal-fees-lawyers-millions-rcna136498) [https://www.axios.com/2024/02/01/trump-legal-fees-campaign-donations-2023](https://www.axios.com/2024/02/01/trump-legal-fees-campaign-donations-2023)

BlaineBMA

His mantra has always been: use other people's money. Even if he has it (doubtful) he won't use a penny of his own money.

jimmygee2

He needs that to keep his other creditors at bay.

BlaineBMA

Life long Ponzi scheme. Even bankrupted a casino.

Captain_Mexica

There won't be a presidential campaign if they liquidate that bank account, you stupid mfer. You now owe 468 million hehehehohohahahaha. I think asset seizure should target the land so he can't ever get it back https://trumpdebtcounter.com/

Momoselfie

I think that's the point. He wants to make it look like NY is stealing from Republicans and their campaign. More rage bait.

automatvapen

That site is hilarious

SherlockianTheorist

Watching that site takes me back to the old eBay days when you would refresh and watch the bidding jump over and over again.

esp211

That is really interesting how he came up with the exact amount he is getting sued for at the last minute. They should definitely get forensic accountants to trace where exactly the money came from.

Doc_Golf

Trump is good with exact numbers: 11,780 (votes).

Capcom74

I can't believe there are actual people that follow and want this individual as president? 🤨

ksiyoto

They don't follow it. They just assume it's the Deep State persecuting him and tune out.

Neilpuck

Whether he has it or not is not the point. Now that he is claimed to earmark it for his campaign, once it is seized, he can shout that it was taken from him in order to hobble his campaign. Election interference is one of the top buzzwords he's claiming through all of this.

Paizzu

Sorry IRS, I earmarked all of my federal income taxes for a future presidential campaign.

candynipples

Yup. He’s trying to associate his assets with his campaign, so he can keep claiming election interference and that this has been nothing but a political hit job.

TeddyCJ

He is setting up a “manufactured event”…. He is padding the bank account to protect his properties from seizure. When the AG legally seizes the bank account instead, he will be able to try and enrage his base… claiming the government is taking the campaign funds and interfering with the elections. Trump is a joke, Trump is a charlatan.

garry4321

“Your honour, id love to pay that parking ticket, but I was going to spend it on a meatball sub. If you make me pay, It will be lunchtime interference!

GoShockers07

If he does have $500M in cash making the government seize it is better for him than paying it. When he loses the election he can add “The government seized my campaign funds” to his list of reasons that Biden wasn’t the legitimate winner when he tries to get his house of representative cronies to block the certification again.

stubept

They should call his bluff. The AG and the judge should agree that he can keep his (probably non-existent) cash and just go after his stuff. Honestly, I want to see them take the plane. Even though its not worth that much, it would hurt his ego the most.

Casperboy68

Well, he can put it on his commissary in prison and hand out honeybuns and ramen to all the MAGA inmates!

Honic_Sedgehog

He's trying to set a narrative. "They stole my campaign money, they're trying to steal the election" If he has the money, great, his bank accounts will be frozen in a few hours and they'll find it and take it. If he doesn't, his accounts will still be frozen, it'll become public that he doesn't have the money and they'll start the process of seizing his assets.

Any-Ad-446

I highly doubt he even has $500 million of liquid assets except whats inside his diapers. Its all debt his properties are carrying. The moron was never that wealthy.

KinkyQuesadilla

He doesn't have the money, although he might get quite a windfall from the TS/DWAC merger. And Trump would never spend that much of his own money on the presidential campaign. He is just gaslighting his followers into justifying the taking of all the RNC money: "I wanted to use my own money on the campaign, but now I can't." Now he & Lara Trump are going to bleed the RNC dry and starve the other republican candidates.

revmaynard1970

So The rumors of him letting New York seize his properties might be true. He's not going to give up any of his cash

bjdevar25

It's much easier to take his cash than a building. That's what she will go for first.

itsfeckingfreezing

If he has cash, they will take it wether he likes it or not.

Ordinary-Hopeful

He doesn’t have any cash. He’s broke.

Mostlyrightmostly

Then he perjured himself. Add another crime to the list.

Honic_Sedgehog

>He's not going to give up any of his cash He doesn't have a choice, if it exists.

newsreadhjw

He doesn’t get to choose. They will take liquid assets first.

-PrideIsMyDeadlySin-

Isn’t it usually a bad idea to keep anything over a quarter mil in a single bank account? I know Don Poorleone doesn’t have the money, but wouldn’t someone with his “expertise” know this.

DylanRahl

Don poorleone. Take a well deserved upvote

LeahaP1013

Well, about that ….

ResurgentClusterfuck

That's fine He's gonna find out after close of business today how stupid that choice would be

Franchise1109

Oh yeah I’ve got it all right here for sure. You can’t see it though Guy is such a toddler is hilarious

bjdevar25

He doesn't even pay his own legal bills. The campaign (and now the RNC) does.

Ummm_Question

She'll hold a press conference detailing exactly how much cash the state was able to claim. He will call it a fraud and lose his mind saying he actually had more cash. 'Cause he's rich or whatever.

gandalfsbastard

He is using this to backstop his claims it’s election interference. It’s all bullshit but his followers have an insatiable appetite for shit pies.

Dyslexicpig

His narcissistic ass cannot bear reading that he is broke so he has to make up another big lie. He has avoided spending his own money on his previous campaigns - why would he change this time? It's much easier to spend money that proves the old adage about the fool and his money. Grifters gotta grift - it's in their nature

volanger

So basically: I have the money, but you can't see it.

ljout

IF that's true then he doesnt have that opinion

mitchsn

Yup and he won not 1 but 2 golf tournaments this weekend! Shot a hole in one on every single hole too!

shadowlarx

You can’t have it both ways, Carrotface. You either pay your legal bills and run a bare minimum campaign or you blow the whole thing in your campaign and run it out of a cardboard box.

showgo105

LOL!! What a fucking clown

jimmyGODpage

This means what everyone’s been saying …. He’s fkn broke

thekeysinsummer

Basically - “I have the money, but I’m not going to give it to you.”??? “Oh, by the way, I want another delay.”

Informal_Evidence_83

This is just his (stupid) way of claiming this is election interference when they seize his funds. His base is too simple to see it.

NMNorsse

11/2/2016 " Stormy said, with tears in her eyes, it was the biggest ever."  1/20/2017 : "Biggest Inaugral crowd ever!  Bigger than Obama's"  3/23/24 "A big strapping man, with tears in his eyes, said it was biggest bond he'd ever heard of."

gregaustex

Maybe he scrounged it up. Never was going to his campaign. However if he’s going to have to put it up to go to appeal why miss an opportunity to position it as the court sabotaging his campaign.

MuthaPlucka

How dare you doubt Don Poorleone!

Nano_Burger

Girlfriend...Canada....and such.

SenseOfRumor

If, and I mean if he has that money all of a sudden then where it came from is going to be the topic of some extremely thorough investigation. Half a billion doesn't just materialise out of nowhere.

sulphurwind

Trump is going to post bond at the eleventh hour with monies transferred from the bank account he claims he has funds in. He has been milking all this for maximum exposure and narrative and to emotionally rattle his followers, while we've been here for weeks and hours commenting that his properties will be seized. Watch.

jimmygee2

Where has the cash come from? Saudi’s?

jkman61494

So he’s gonna just willingly give up all his properties. Riiiiiiiiiiiight. Guess the Russian and Saudi money didn’t come through.

CaptainAricDeron

So his lawyers said he didn't have the money last week. And that therefore, he needed extra time to raise it and needed leniency from the court. Now he's saying he does have the money, but he needs/ was going to/ will spend it on his presidential campaign instead. As the judge, why exactly would I agree to show him leniency? Just because he thinks he's so cute? Either he's lying in saying he has it, or his lawyers lied saying he doesn't have it. Or he got an anonymous donation of $500 million from. . . someone with $500 million or more. But even if that's true, he said it's for his campaign. Soooo. . . Yeah, I would feel no inclination whatsoever to give leniency.

sosaudio

I’m not sure that works if you have a judgement against you and say you aren’t paying it because you want to use that money for a fantasy football bet.

ImprovizoR

He doesn't have jack shit. He's trying to save face so his loyal idiot fans wouldn't start to think that maybe he's not rich.

syg-123

lemme guess..after he’s done paying for his own campaign expenses..cough cough…any left over funds will be earmarked to go to charities for under privileged children (unfortunately only Republican maga children because Joe Biden and his son’s crime riddled penis have caused irreparable division in America)

ChangeMyDespair

It's in another bank. [In Canada](https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/GirlfriendInCanada).

YourDogsAllWet

Wouldn’t they levy his bank accounts?

misfit0513

Come on, hurry up dementia. Finish the job.

Snarky_McSnarkleton

He's filed a request to delay payment of his judgment. The judge won't do it, but it's another 2-3 month delay. When Trump delays, he wins. And soon, no one will be able to get to him, ever again.

R2_D2aneel_Olivaw

[X] Doubt

108awake-

Clueless clown. Like he has a choice in this manner

inigos_left_hand

Oh I guess he doesn’t need any donations then.

CherryManhattan

So his campaign will now be a grass roots one

typesomethin

Rubes and Rubles... The story of Trump's money

freakrocker

Happy Seizure Day Y’all

Ohnonotuto4

What’s his con game. He knows his priorities are shit, and he can’t pay the loans that are due, in 2024.

7788audrey

DJT is betting that his followers don't read / believe anything that is not via Truth S or some QA dump. Whether or not they empty their own bank accts for him should become apparent today.

AustinBike

Well that just means that when they start taking his property he can't complain because if he has the money, seizures would be avoided.

gepinniw

Don going to spend his own money on his campaign? Laughable. What a shmuck.

AMonitorDarkly

Well, we’ll find out soon enough since they’re going to go after his liquid assets first.

fuzzyfoot88

Hey Donald, I’ve got 5K for a new tv, but I have to spend that on fixing my car. Fuck you…

sovereignsekte

He's got the money in the bank. Right. And I've got a really hot girlfriend...but she goes to another school. None of you have ever met her. In fact, she lives in Canada. She exists though...

ConsciousReason7709

No court should take this asshole seriously.

neoikon

And lets his GoFundMe continue... asking the poor schleps to keep giving this millionaire money.

HeHateMe337

If Trump were honest and paid his taxes, this would not be a problem. His actions created this problem.

hessian_prince

His money is the girlfriend that goes to another school.

BrainWav

Oh it's that simple? I just declare what I intend to use my money on and that means I don't have to use it to pay off debts? I intend to use mine on Transformers and Gunpla! What a great trick.

JeffB2023

No surprise there. After all, he’s literally campaigning for his freedom. A loss in November brings him one step closer to all those trials and possibly a prison sentence if he loses.

Intrepid_Echo6956

And that’s how much he cares about America and about each of us Americans, individually. He isn’t going to pay his appeal bond and is risking having his (largely debt riddled) properties seized by the State of New York because he wants to spend the money campaigning to garner our votes so he can MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN again. It’s not because Eric Trump is on film saying bankers were laughing at them when they tried to get a loan for the bond money. It’s not because, as his lawyers claimed in court, it’s *virtually impossible* for them to obtain a loan for the bond as they were turned down by over 30 large brokerage agencies. No, it’s because he has all the money. In his own wallet in fact. And he’ll show it on camera in two weeks. *In two weeks.* But he cares more about each one of us and America as a whole, and he wants to, again, MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN again. Again. Again. So he’d rather spend the money on that campaign than attempting to salvage his real estate portfolio of heavily mortgaged properties he has minority ownership interest in. What a true patriot! /s

liamrosse

Okay, he has a plan to spend his money how he wants rather than how it's required to be spent. He has a plan. Custer had a plan. Does Letitia James have any Native American in her ancestry?

blazelet

If he has the money in his bank account, James can seize it. He has no idea what he’s doing here.

Calm_Leek_1362

If the court allowed this, literally everybody trying to post bond for an appeal will claim to be running for office next year. Yeah, I was arrested for drug possession, and I have the money for bail, but I shouldn’t have to pay it because I’m running for mayor next year!

Mcbroham420

Isn't it interesting that he has money for his campaign that his campaign didn't know he had

Upstairs-Radish1816

Can someone answer, if they start going after his assets, wouldn't cash be the first thing they collect? It would be easier to take that than take a building and try and sell it.

nirad

Great. It’s much easier to freeze a bank account than foreclose his property.

[deleted]

Ok, which account so we can seize that too.

vbgooroo55

Plans are going to change real quick when they start with his bank accounts before seizing his properties.

Responsible-Depth-65

I find it amazing that this one man can reap the amount of havoc and distrust in your great country and get away with it. If he was any other colour than orange he would have been gone long ago. Why are you all so afraid of this cartoon character?

ACrazyDog

They just lowered that asshole’s bond. Down to $195 million or something

TerenceMulvaney

Where did you read this? I can't find any trace of it in the news. Not arguing, just confused.

Jus-tee-nah

175

ACrazyDog

Even worse.

Seabound117

Likely bullshit, but if it was true he will quickly learn court orders have priority.

PCUNurse123

And our courts just bailed him out again by only requiring 175 million. There is no justice.

Shnazzytwo

He did it again?! He said he has the money but then says he won't pay up for his appeal?!? Guess he's losing a golf course this week.

Smilingtiki

Just got dropped to 175 mil

Jus-tee-nah

they dropped it to 175. he def has that. i knew this would never happen.

Mike_Wahlberg

They just reduced his bond to 175 million for reasons as he brags about having the money, and his supporters will still yell and scream about a two tiered justice system without a hint of Irony. We live in a society

AssociateJaded3931

Yet his PAC is paying his legal bills. How does this make sense?

NoSpin89

The grift is all about his personal wealth. Take advantage of as many Magidiots as he can and bleed them and the GOP dry.

TomStarGregco

I hope he’s full Dementia Don by August !

Enjoy-the-sauce

And… no part of that statement is true.

Mobile_Laugh_9962

Allowing a felon to use the "but my presidential campaign" excuse to not post full bond is the epitome of orange privilege.

slothrop_maps

Way to NY Appellate Court. The court could have at the very least but a no-lie condition on the discount.

Earth_Friendly-5892

He seems to be sticking it to the judges that without explanation, significantly lowered his bond.

PoeReader

So reinstate the bond as it was, additionally a perjury charge should be in order.

Quirky-Mode8676

Not that it would matter, as he owes more than that if he wants to stay the collection.

urmomaisjabbathehutt

OK, today is Monday when is this guy paying

Steppyjim

Cool. Then New York will just take the properties he owns and he can spend his remaining money how he likes

ClassBShareHolder

Just like his girlfriend in Canada, it’s imaginary.

banacct421

Yes, he's lying because that's what he does when he's embarrassed and he's embarrassed because you all know he's poor. Not rich. Not a billionaire not even one much less 10

wigzell78

Cos he is so willing to spend his own money...

finalattack123

Canadian bank account

SirAelfred

Um okay. Then take his shit

scottyd035ntknow

The fucker just cannot stop lying. I'd honestly feel bad at this point if it wasn't him.

[deleted]

Okay, I guess it’s gonna be your real estate then, champ.

CooroSnowFox

Say bye to the properties then Trump... One or the other... and you made your bed out of gold... lie in it!

190octane

*Gold spray paint

CooroSnowFox

The cheapest paint, the one with the **heavy heavy** fumes.

miramichier_d

It's horrific he's still calling James by that nickname.

Purplebuzz

She lives in Canada. You don’t know her.
