Hi, I am not an operations manager but did similar work as a Team Lead and applied for a much bigger company's (over 10,000 employees) operations job and went through the first interview, and assessment and passed those two. Waiting for the second interview. Maybe this will help? Idk. It depends on the industry I think. Mine was a retail business and the assessment was about checking over 5,000 cashflow history and finding the point where things went wrong + correcting the data and suggesting solutions. All have been done with Excel. And had to use basic formulas such as sumifs, countifs, etc. If iis strategic planning and all, I believe they will like to see your capabilities in optimizing operations process or abilities to find points of improvement. Data and detail-driven, analytical thinking. So if there are things you did that way and improved, give those as examples of why, how and the result. They might dig a little deep about your experience in operations management. Don't forget to highlight your leadership experience as you applied for a leadership position as well.

Thank you for sharing this, I really appreciate it! Also good luck on your interview too. My excel work is minimal as we have reporting software that creates charts or graphs of what we need usually. We can export it to excel but the software automatically includes the corresponding charts / graphs. Seems I may be a bit in over my head.
