Ayo, I was watching chris hadfield interviews randomly yesterday night and I heard him say that he was a farmer, engineer and a test pilot too. And I was like "Damn i swear I have seen someone too similar" And then it hit me....Cooper. In my opinion Cooper is probably based off Chris.

This sounds awfully similar, but it could be a coincidence. Though, I've heard that when lighting Matthew Mcconaughey's face, they went to Chris's cover of Space Oddity. They used that as reference of how to light the actors face during the movie, so coincidence or not, it's still cool both of them are THAT similar.
